I'm sure you hear this all the time but you have a great voice. You have one of those voices that sounds Ike it can't be mad at me. Your delivery is calm, mellow, easy on the ears, good diction, all combined with good content.
I primarily fly vintage (D17/18, DC3/6, etc) and turboprop but since I travel for work... dragging my Xbox around internationally, the hotas seems the easier piece of kit to lug about. If I was working from home regularly the Honeycomb with throttle and rudder would be my choice.
I went with the T Flight Hotas One, as I'm playing in the lounge room on a small table. The small table also allows me to use a cordless keyboard and mouse, making it a little easier to operate MS Flight Sim on the Xbox. It's a great budget setup and perhaps one day I'll pickup the Velocity One, but right now it's just to pricey for me to pickup.
Currently I am using the TM Hotas with rudder pedals, my original idea was to also get the TB V1 and keep the HOTAS/Pedals connected so that for planes / helis more suited to stick I retain that option and also I can continue to use the rudder pedals with the V1 as the trigger rudders are just not a good option IMO. With the recent Honeycomb announcement, the choice is less clear and potentially it will now be the HC yoke with TM hotas/pedals
@@homiewiththepony8638 I haven’t actually purchased one yet, I’ve been doing more helicopter and GA flying so the stick has been more appropriate. I do know someone that had the TB V1 yoke and kept the hotas/pedals connected and it was largely OK but best to make specific profiles to remove duplicate control inputs. So if using the yoke, create a hotas profile that doesn’t include anything that is controlled via the yoke
Great review as always - thank you. I'm still waiting - playing catch-up - on XBox and now there's some options for peripherals things are looking good.
Hello, Mark. Love your channel. I love the detail you go thru helping noobs set up the yoke and throttle. I recently purchased the Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo for Xbox via the hub. Are you releasing videos on its setup anytime soon? Looking forward to that. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Right now I’m using the T Flight Hotas because I’m new to flight simulator so not sure if I’ll get enough use to justify expensive yoke and rudder system
I really do think I would be better at landing and takeoff if I had rudder pedals and a yoke. Not that I’m bad with a controller but I do feel like you are somewhat limited with a controller just because you can’t make nearly as precise movements and some movements at all.
Fantastic videos! In your original review of the Turtle Beach, you mentioned the stickiness of the yoke and the loose play on the throttle levers. Have these worsened or improved in your last year of use? Thank you
Hi, I just bought the Honeycomb XPC Yoke, and purchased the Bravo Quardrant as well but can not get it to work on Xbox X console. There is no customer service from the company. Questions, what choices do I have for a quadrant that can use with the Honeycomb XPC yoke. Thanking you in advance.
Hello Mark, is it ok to fly fighters with turtlebeech velocity one? Or when it comes to fighters, you'd rather to fly with xbox controller instead of TB velocity one?

Hi Mark, Thanks for such an informative video. I'm weighing up my options to either go for a new Flightsim PC (costing far too much money) or to go with X Box Series X. I fly GA aircraft so like to fly low & slow & see all the scenery. I don't know if the X Box will give me the same visual fidelity (or near enough to PC) as an expensive PC setup. I currently fly in X Plane 11 but now want to go with MSFS 2020. I'm an older simmer but I still enjoy the hobby. Any advice you can offer would be appreciated. Kind regards.
I am a Xbox User and I personally own the T.Flight HOTAS One (w/ Rudders) and the Velocity One Flight. I use the stick for all « stick-enabled » aircrafts and the Velocity One for all others (GA or Airliners). I like to be able to « simulate » the real thing as much as possible. But Mark, with the level of details you put in all your videos, I am surprised at the fact you haven’t mentioned anything about the upcoming (or so I thought) TurtleBeach « companion » rudders for Velocity One. ThrustMaster Rudders are « Ok » but they are not as realistic as the Velocity One is for controls. So I was expecting this video to cover this. Do you have Insider’s knowledge from them that this product is cancelled? Thanks!
Hi, I have the same. You might be interested to know I sometimes use the TM rudder pedals with the V1F. I have both connected, I have a Hotas one config that is empty except for the rudders. I push the Hotas to the side, but now have access to rudders. Whilst I am aware TB said they are working on rudders I haven’t been able to establish any details in terms of development. Regards

Hi Mark, bit of an odd one turned on the Xbox opened MSFS . I had a slightly different screen come up requesting an update. So clicked it and waited. Looked at my flight log and I flew the 787 on the 21 July. Plus when I go to the store it said I already owed it. Any idea what's happened and how to get them back. Very sad
But do some of these option have some sort of “reaction control”/“force feedback”? (Sorry i don’t know the correct term for what i mean 😅, but simply do you feel resistence when manuvering?)
