Actually, the trigger buttons were designed by Turtle Beach to be used as rudder pedals if you don't have them (or if you have an Xbox of course) but I still would recommend to get some pedals. I saw in another video, you can set the sensitivity to 0 from the default -20 (I believe) in MFS to fix the dead zone issue. Thanks for listening to my recommendation to review this. Since this is Swiss001 approved, I will get this to replace my 10 year old CH-Products Yoke that I got as a gift when it released, which died (it gets stuck in a right turn climb and results in death in the form of an unrecoverable flat spin every time). I can't afford the Boeing yoke, but this is in my price range. Thanks again Nick.

There aren’t currently any pedals that currently work in conjunction with this yoke. Turtle Beach REALLY needs to come out with their own pedals.

I use this yoke myself, and I can say for certain, that the deadzone, and the center detent both sort themselves out after a few days of use. I know that may sound odd, but after a month with mine, I have noticed the deadzone has all but disappeared, and the center detent is WAY less grabby. Plus, if you take the time to properly setup the profiles for each plane type (it does take a bit) it just makes basic flying SO much easier having it all at your fingertips. I am not claiming it to be the best you can buy, of course. I am, however, saying that for most, it will be a solid choice. Especially if you fly on both PC and Xbox, as it seamlessly switches between the two.

yeah the velocity would feel like a step down if you are used to the $700 thrustmaster Boeing yoke, but remember this price point is for beginners and xbox players to have an actual controller for the sim. i think it does really well
I believe Honeycomb has now come out with the version for Xbox, but I understand at the time Xbox didn't have a yoke yet for flight sim.

First thing you do after connecting this is update the firmware. The panel lights illuminate based on the aircraft status. Second is create flight control templates for the different types or aircraft. I don't get a flimsy feeling at all.
I can't see why people are complaining about the price, this peripheral is everything I've ever wanted, if only I had better PC hardware I'd get back into simming but my pc is just not powerful enough to run MSFS2020 reliably

Buy an Xbox x, msfs2020, is free on gamepass and it runs the game excellent, this peripheral also works with Xbox. Probably the closest you will get unless you drop money on a new pc but that could be a lot depending on your current rig
Never thought I’d see turtle beach make flight sim hardware. Seems like a good intro for anyone getting into the hobby.
That Turtle Beach and your Thrustmaster aren't comparable. They're meant for completely different planes. If you most fly commercial planes then you choose the Thrustmaster. If you mostly fly civilian planes, including private passenger jets, then you'd choose the Turtle Beach. BUT, instead of the buying the Turtle Beach for civilian planes it's worth it to spend the extra money on the Honeycomb yoke and throttle.
Im looking to be an airline pilot. I’m trying to by a new Xbox and make a setup and can’t figure out what works for what. I know I will need 1500 hours on smaller planes. What do you think will prepare me for that stuff Best

eventually in the future pilots will be remotely flying actual planes through these, which might be handy if we go into more lockdowns
and if they crash then pilot gets in big trouble lmao
I don't think that will ever happen, it won't be reliable enough and if there is an emergency pilots need to be on the aircraft to understand and fix the issues

The stick is 55, but with the throttles it's more, i think they are like closer to 100 for each piece (throttle itself & add-ons with flaps and speedbrake)

I recently got my first ever piece of hardware and it was a Logitech 3D pro and it’s AMAZING😃
I’ve been using it for years. Mines got a bit of drift now and it gets very sensitive sometimes. It’s been rlly good so I hope u enjoy. Looking at this video I might be going for this piece of hardware
I suggest you buy the honeycomb alpha and bravo, I have them and they’re amazing. Much better than the turtle beach one
I've been using a extreme 3D pro for nearly 16 years. You gotta open it up and blast it with compressed air every now and then as it gets calibration issues (hard left bank when stick is straight) and some of the buttons stopped working but apart from that it's very solid. I'm upgrading to a Honeycomb soon and returning the joystick to my dad who used it for 3 years before me

Bought this a few weeks ago for my Xbox series X and love it. I don’t have any off the issues that some have been talking about, I just wish Microsoft would do their part and activate the sip panel for Xbox. Also Microsoft and Asobo need to fix the sim.😉
So the buttons on the throttle don't work with xbox?
@@conbee6058 yes they work and can be remapped also. It’s the sip panel lights that are not active on Xbox yet, they just stay on as a constant colour, however they work when it’s hooked up to pc.
@@TPHI17 You're in luck, latest news from TB is that SIP-panel will be operational on Xbox with SU10, but it is in Asobo's hands with how many of TB's wishlist for it gets implemented.
@@btm_kiwigaming5449 I was messaging back and forth with a Turtle beach rep the other day and he said as far as he knows there is no plan to have the sip panel work on Xbox.

How does it feel in comparison to the flight yoke system by Logitech? Ideally, I was thinking of getting this to replace that yoke since I want the trim wheel..
You can probably get a honeycomb bravo throttle quadrant since that is very high quality and has lots of buttons
Just from watching this video, the biggest difference is the that the Logitech yoke does not turn as much as it should.

I was the one who even started this whole Yoke thing. :) I dono'd him a few streams ago asking him to try it out. It was well worth the $2. It was hilarious too imho. Still can't sleep from the $5 dono Airbus Autopilot Disengage sound being so flippin loud.
