    I have 6 titanium implants, all in positions 6 /7. 3 of them are approximately 15 years old, no problem whatsoever. Of course I use those small brushes to clean the spaces between the crown and the gum. Always after breakfast and before I go to bed.

    So rusty Zirconium is not metal? 'Kay, bruv.
    I mean i understand chemistry, i just like to think that, for example Aluminium Oxide for instance, is a glass-like metal that is super hard. And i guess Zirconium Oxide is a "Ceramic-like metal" that i don't know much else about, from that perspective, lol.
    But it's quite disingenuous to say there's no data on it... Because if there wasn't any, then nobody would be trying to use them as implants to begin with.
    What makes Zirconium Oxide a suitable material for dental implants? Does it bond to the skeleton the same way Titanium does? You know, THAT data... The data that makes this material QUALIFY as a dental implant to begin with... That would've been a good starting point. :P

      @GODISLOVE-lx5dm 2 года назад

      Look this is not a match about strength because titanium will allways win. The reason we are starting to use zirconia is not because of its strength but only the materials used are not toxic and will not cause brain 🧠 conditions or cancer.so if I can go with zirconia for 10 years or titanium for 20 I pick zirconia all day !!!!!👍

      Titanium oxide is one of the safest white pigments used in cosmetics, it is also a ceramic.
      Just as harmless as Zirconium Oxide. xD
      Aluminium Oxide btw, is the same material that Rubies and Sapphires (Gems) are made of, which is also perfectly safe... it's most commonly used as scratch-resistant glass for expensive Wrist-, and Pocket-watches... It is the second hardest material after diamonds (Carbon).

  • @martinchrom4444
    @martinchrom4444 3 года назад +23

    You forgot to mention the prosthetic disadvantages of one piece implant such as zirconia and the need of using cement instead of screw retained job. If you place zirconia slightly misaligned, it ca be huge problem. Generaly zirconia are far worse when it comes to the prosthetic part. Titanium is far superior because of wide selection of abutments to cover different positions of implant and can be made from high polished zirconia subgingivaly which adheres to the soft tissues and is easily cleansible and white. Go for titanium in the bone, with zirconia subgingivaly and screw retained crown for the best result

      @martinchrom4444 2 года назад +1

      @@GuruPrashanth7970 It has been shown by studies (prof Linkevicius in Zero bone loss concept) that you can never remove all of the excess cement and that causes periimplantitis and failure. Screw retained crown solves that and is more easily fixed when problems happen. But a very stable conical connection is needed so that there is no micro movement.
