This is like a window into my life. I spend hours researching, comparing, evaluating and then present this to my wife and the only comment is “I don’t like the colour in the picture” 😂😂😂

Great dynamic there. When the color of the car is the most important feature you became very quiet and you know that arguing is futile. I'm on her side though - sometimes one has to look past the stats on speed, kwh's, acceleration - etc, etc. I'm disappointed that she didn't like the look of the Polestar 2. It's such a beautiful car. The verdict to go with the Fiat 500e and the Polestar 2 is by far the best choice if you are going for 2 cars. I would love to see both of you do a review of those two cars.
After watching yours and a couple of other EV RUclipsrs channels for the last year, I've been convinced to take the plunge and just ordered the e-Niro 4+ on a 3 year lease. After looking at other cars out there for practicality, range and extras, for the price I was quoted the e Niro was a no brainer. Even looking at what is supposeldy coming out this year from the other big manufacturers I've not been tempted way from the Kia. Plus, once my 3 year lease is up there may be even better options out there and a thriving EV second hand market. So, thanks for your insights into the Kia, it certainly helped me make up my mind.
My e-Niro 20/21 Yacht Blue will arrive within a week or two. Can't wait. Your videos helped a lot with the descision. The Enyaq will not arrive in the Netherlands before August, so that wasn't an option. And with all the same features as the Kia way too expensive. Happy Christmas and keep these nice posts coming!

I have had the Niro First Edition like you for the last 2 yrs and think its a great car. I made the mistake of stopping at my Kia dealer whilst Christmas shopping and 5 days later Im driving the 4+. Although there's many options coming out all the time the extra's on the 4+ (although abroad have had them since release) were the missing pieces for me in this what car selection, for me " if it aint broke" and the Niro does everything I need. Happy New Year

I waited for enyaq, but they postponed the introduction again by a few months :(. And I don't want to wait anymore :)). I wonder how you will decide whether to go to a new one or keep a niro. But she likes the Rivian? - which I can assure her, looks like a cyberman with wheels and ample room for a Delek in the boot.. Tough women in this family! If they let you, get a 4+, you will love it again. It is also a bit of a bargain against, for example, the equivalent Enyaq, which is gorgeous. In another two years, there will be a huge choice in the market, including all the E-GMP cars. Flaviana clearly loves the e-Niro too, but needs a great colour. Kia, with only five quite dull options, should learn from that. Very funny video, thanks, but now please enjoy a great Christmas.
A friend has a petrol XC40 and we had a heavy hailstorm in Cirencester a couple of months ago and the roof bonnet and top of the doors were severely dented . It 40 or so dents in the bodywork that had to be repaired at great expense. I’m not sure if it has aluminium bodywork or not but it is not resistant to this sort of damage so beware.
If I was in your position I’d be looking at the model Y/3 because of size and the rapid charger network for the ease of travel to your wife’s family in Italy. However the 11kw ac on the E-Niro 4+ I think would be nice. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I was aiming for EVs with a similar range to that of the e-Niro (around 280 miles - and ideally with faster charging) as we do need a car for trips to Italy. I just thought that Flaviana would dismiss anything less than that. Of course then she decided she wanted the Fiat 500e! The e2008 is lovely (our friend has one) and the Mokka-e looks surprisingly good. At some point I will do a proper round-up of all the EVs available now and coming in 2021.
@@MrEV I see your point about driving to Italy. You will be hard pushed to beat the e-niro... The only other true alternative at present looks to be Tesla... Have fun looking at the fiat 500 it does look good. Thanks for you videos they brighten these dark times.

I was aiming for cars with range close to that of the e-Niro (so high 200s). It's a lovely car though - our friend has just got one and I took it for a spin. Great fun to drive!
We looked at all the cars on your list too, and opted for the new volvo xc40 recharge. It was the best build quality and also extremely comfortable and quick too. Norway has great charging infrastructure so range anxiety is not a major issue. Awd and great entertainment features are also very good on the volvo. Volvo currently offer a direct sales package that is very competitive for a lease deal.
First my whishes for 2021, stay healthy every day so you can make a new video every day. Clever wife. You've only explained only things you've found as a plus on the new cars/models. I think you've also look to the actual features that you'll loose on a new car.

Sadly they don’t sell the 3+1 in the UK. A shame as that would have suited us much more.

Tough women in this family! If they let you, get a 4+, you will love it again. It is also a bit of a bargain against, for example, the equivalent Enyaq, which is gorgeous. In another two years, there will be a huge choice in the market, including all the E-GMP cars. Flaviana clearly loves the e-Niro too, but needs a great colour. Kia, with only five quite dull options, should learn from that. Very funny video, thanks, but now please enjoy a great Christmas.

A friend has a petrol XC40 and we had a heavy hailstorm in Cirencester a couple of months ago and the roof bonnet and top of the doors were severely dented . It 40 or so dents in the bodywork that had to be repaired at great expense. I’m not sure if it has aluminium bodywork or not but it is not resistant to this sort of damage so beware.
If I was in your position I’d be looking at the model Y/3 because of size and the rapid charger network for the ease of travel to your wife’s family in Italy. However the 11kw ac on the E-Niro 4+ I think would be nice.

Thanks for this Christmas show and wish you all a happy new year. Question though why did you miss out the MG EV and Peugeot 2008, e-mokka and e-C4 as possible replacements for the niro....
I was aiming for EVs with a similar range to that of the e-Niro (around 280 miles - and ideally with faster charging) as we do need a car for trips to Italy. I just thought that Flaviana would dismiss anything less than that. Of course then she decided she wanted the Fiat 500e!
The e2008 is lovely (our friend has one) and the Mokka-e looks surprisingly good. At some point I will do a proper round-up of all the EVs available now and coming in 2021.

The only other true alternative at present looks to be Tesla...

@@MrEV yes I tried it. And the fun fact. I had the color Snow. And a lot snow fall down as I drove that car. Cool car. Really nice interior. 💕 I told my fiancée Polestar 2 will be our next car after hyundai Kona in some years. But in 5 years a lot new electric cars will follow.

Why didn't you put the Peugeot e-2008 ? Range is about 200 miles but the inside is quite big. Have a look at it ;-)
I was aiming for cars with range close to that of the e-Niro (so high 200s). It's a lovely car though - our friend has just got one and I took it for a spin. Great fun to drive!
We looked at all the cars on your list too, and opted for the new volvo xc40 recharge. It was the best build quality and also extremely comfortable and quick too. Norway has great charging infrastructure so range anxiety is not a major issue. Awd and great entertainment features are also very good on the volvo. Volvo currently offer a direct sales package that is very competitive for a lease deal.

I managed 4m 38s. The later piece on 12v battery failure was interesting. This was simply irritating. Maybe one to do on your own when you have a better idea but definitely without the older child present.
