Auxiliary and official languages kill minority languages (Personal View)

  • In this video, I give my perspective about the future of minority languages and what I consider essential to ensure that they will survive. The biggest threat to them is the widespread use of official languages, which reduce the practical usefulness of minority languages in society and stimulate their abandonment. To keep the plurality of languages on our planet alive, we need a plural use of languages in society as a whole.
