    I'm really going to miss this show. They dropped the ball! No pun intended. Come along on this journey while I fill in the blanks and outline a dope ass "Winning Time" series as it probably should have went, and hopefully still will go on another Network.
    Season 3 should have been all about getting Revenge, Revenge, Revenge on the Boston Celtics! They go the whole season super focused on getting revenge and feeling humbled by their loss in the previous season 2 finale. The Lakers are somewhat sad in the bright lights of the big city while Bird is living his best farm life as the champ, he talks shit to Magic and Magic talks right back to Bird and tells him that he better enjoy that Championship while he has it. Season 3 shows the Los Angeles Lakers getting sweet, sweet, revenge against the Celtics and this time Larry Bird is in the shower shaking his head after the loss. Magic is extremely happy at the championship parade but the Detroit Pistons, with Magic's good friend Isaiah Thomas call a team meeting in the Pontiac Silverdome in Magic's home state of Michigan to discuss finally getting past the Boston Celtics, and vowing to defeat the Lakers in the NBA Finals to become Champs. - Season 3 ends
    Then after 3 or 4 more seasons following the book "Showtime Magic, Kareem, Riley, and the Los Angeles Lakers dynasty of the 1980s" by Jeff Pearlman - by maybe the 6th season, the Lakers make the finals again, and look to relive their 80s Glory. This time without Cap, { cut to flashback of Kareem Abdul- Jabbar during his retirement ceremony sitting in a rocking chair gifted to him } and now the pressure is on Magic's shoulders to carry L.A. to victory. Michael Jordan is presented like Darth Vader in this scenario, basically the ultimate bad guy { cut to flashback of Michael Jordan getting very angry with Steve Kerr and punching him in the face during practice } while we watch through the eyes of Magic trying to stop the GOAT from establishing his own Dynasty in Chicago.
    FINAL SEASON
    After game one of the 1991 finals, Jordan goes crazy in the locker room as the Chicago Bulls let one slip through their fingers and lose by two points to the Los Angeles Lakers. Phil Jackson pulls Jordan into the training room and they have a one-on-one where Phil calms Mike down using one of his many Zen techniques, Jordan feels it's his winning time after finally going through the Pistons in the Eastern Conference. After Mike and Phil leave the training room Jeanie Buss is in the hallway and she briefly looks up, at that moment her and Coach Phil Jackson lock eyes briefly but intensely, then then look away with both thinking nothing of it. { foreshadowing LOL }
    Meanwhile Michael reluctantly sits at his locker{ flashbacks go through Jordan's mind of Isaiah Thomas and the bad boys throwing him to the ground playing Jordan rules, Chuck Daly gives a tip of the Hat motion to Dennis Rodman after throwing Scottie Pippen into the camera, the final flashback is of the Bulls winning the playoff series and the Pistons putting their head down and leaving the court without shaking hands }
    Michael Jordan stands up, steps into the center of locker room, level-headed with fire in his eyes, and tells the team it's ALL about them, not him & the only way they're going to win is together. Unbeknownst to everyone, this spells the end of the Dynasty for the Showtime Lakers, and the beginning of a new Dynasty for the Chicago Bulls as the Bulls win the next four straight games vs L.A. to become Champions for the first time. After losing to the Bulls 4-1, Magic and Jerry bus have a conversation overlooking the city of Los Angeles during a beautiful sunset recapping all the good times and bad times, ending with them both shaking hands and saying they had "one hell of a partnership!"
    The true end of the show right there, Boom!
    There is a the post credit scene where it shows 1992 Magic, Bird, and Jordan joking around in the famous Dream Team photo of those three as a dramatization and Jordan is still hyper competitive... then Fade to Black. There, I just put the rest of the pieces together loosely for HBO please take that and run with it or Hulu, Netflix whatever.

    Comments regarding "The Punch" that changed two lives.
    Several years before Dr. Jerry Buss bought the Los Angeles Lakers, the team was incredibly talented but steeped in controversy because Kermit Washington in a game with the Houston Rockets in the Forum and during a fight punched Rudy Tomjanovich in the face. Rudy Tomjanovich after he got punched in the face felt like he had the scoreboard fall (Rudy nearly died because of "The Punch") on him. Rudy was tasting spinal fluid and had to be rushed to the hospital for treatment. Rudy spent several days in intensive care because of it. After that one, Larry O'Brien had to step in and say enough of the fighting (1976-1977 season saw 41 fights with at least one ejection). This became a big deal because it caused controversy over violence in basketball, especially when footage of "The Punch" was being talked about by John Chancellor, Walter Cronkite, Frank Reynolds and is shown on "The NFL Today" and Brent Musburger starts talking about it. Kermit Washington was suspended for 60 days for the incident and was traded to Boston. Rudy Tomjanovich missed the rest of the season because of "The Punch" and had to undergo reconstructive surgery to restore his face. Rudy and the Houston Rockets were forced to sue the Lakers for the incident. Neither player was the same after the incident.

    Of course a lot of the stuff in the show was bullsh!t, Norm said the 1v1 with Magic never went down like they showed especially with him wearing a fur coat in the middle of summer in Cali. Another thing they definitely embellished was when Magic was drafted which even back then was in at least May or definitely June,but they show his dad hearing the news on his truck in obviously winter weather,straight Hollywood make believe.

    How did Buss come up with the 15 million in cash to complete the deal?
