@@Malady Yes, absolutely, that would definitely be my first choice / request as well! A lot of interesting stuff going on there guitar-wise (both Mac and Will) for sure.
Bunnymen 86 Philharmonic Hall , Liverpool was the best live sound I've ever heard. Will's guitar was mind blowing. After the gig we saw him at a bus stop, in his parka holding a guitar case. Nods were exchanged
Yeah, I'd seen them over the years (82-2009) and he always seemed to like to be out walking near the show. Actually saw him on the street near Radio City in 09 just walking around earlier in the day.
Absolutely love it. I think "Monkeys" and "Crocodiles" from the same album would be amazing. That ascending guitar part that begins at 0:59 on "Crocodiles" is simultaneously beautiful and baffling.
Out of all the guitar teachers out there it's great to see someone who really identifies with soooo many of the same bands and guitarists I do. Just killer. Echo and the Bunnymen for the love of God... what's not to like?! Thanks man... many, many thanks!
Man, I love you. Thanks for sharing such amazing skills and brilliant teaching. To find you was one of the best things happened in my year, always wanted to learn to play like these amazing 80s bands.
I closed my eyes and suddenly I was transported to an era when I was young and impressionable!! You deserve praise for rescuing the Bunnymen, I don't see many tutorials on their repertoire on RUclips. You certainly know how to offer a varied musical diet, catering to a wide range of audiences and keeping your channel interesting!! What will you come up with next?
Along with Honeyman-Scott, Marr and McGeoch (and Sergeant!), another guitarist from that era and who really helped define it for me was Neil Clark, of Lloyd Cole & The Commotions. Great riffs, beautiful picking, wonderful arrangements - what he did on “Perfect Skin” kicked my butt, “Heartbroken” is singular, and don’t get me started on his outro for “Forest Fire.” Would love to hear your take on anything by him. Thanks ~
You mentioned 5 of my 6 favourie guitarists of all time just there, nice to hear Neil Clark get a mention hes a genius you left out the Brilliant Sean O Hagan out of Microdisney you have excellent taste
Yes, echo ! Your backing tracks are under-rated. The kick drum pattern on this backing track is great.. Sound like you got the boys together to record that for you. Worth it to be an ACPG patreon for several reasons.
Despite the very very shameful gap, it's always well worth the wait. You are the only guy doing this specific material on a consistent basis, and at a high quality. So glad you're feeling well again. "Father Christmas" by the Kinks is my vote for the Holiday Classic.
Hello Adrian, I always like the music you choose to share with us. The songs and groups you choose always keeps my interest. I've been learning a lot about different artists and groups from your Channel. Great bands that I had never heard before. I like what I've been hearing and learning. Thanks for being out there for us guitar/ music affectionados. Randy, Great North Woods of Michigan
Love the Bunnymen, just recently read Will Sergeant's book - I recommend it if you haven't got round to it! Fantastic lesson as usual, would love to hear more Bunnymen. Also wouldn't mind some Suede too, both Bernard Butler and Richard Oakes are criminally underrated UK guitarists
I enjoyed Sgt Fuzz's book, especially his descriptions about the fashion and music scene. I can't wait for his 2nd book as the first one left on a cliffhanger!
Wonderful! As always an excellent lesson and I have to thank you for giving The Bunnymen a place on this channel. It would be nice if you did another Bunnymen lesson (Over The Wall is one of their best songs). But most importantly thanks for making these videos. They are really helping me progress on the guitar.
Merci beaucoup pour cet épisode, trop peu de gens connaissent et font connaitre cet immense groupe, j'ai déjà ma place pour leur concert de novembre 2022 à Nîmes (La Paloma) ! Thank you very much for this episode, too few people know and promote this huge group, I already have my place for their concert in November 2022 in Nîmes (La Paloma)!
When this popped up a day or 3 ago I thought bunneymen..mmm have not heard of them so I tapped watch later. Very glad I did and I plan to investigate further. Thanks for a great surprise and I love that riff and feel it will be harder than it sounds.Great job again.!!
Crocodiles wasnt Will's favourite but I love the whole album. its from his black Telecaster years, but strangelly theres a trem nice thing, which cant be done with thar hard tailed Tele.(sorry youve talked about that too 😅
Very nice! Been listening to their compilation Songs to learn and sing a lot lately. So I guess that I don't have choice anymore and will learn (and maybe sing) this one. Cheers!
Will Sergeant is a fantastic player! I really dig his style - especially on the early Bunnymen stuff. Great lesson, Adrien! Your videos are always top-notch. If I may, could I list a few song lesson suggestions? I would love to see you do “Intrigue In Tangiers” by The Chameleons. I’ve been learning it by ear - but I’m unsure about quite a few parts. You being a superior guitarist to me I’m sure you could figure out the whole song accurately. Another song that would be cool to see you do would be “Beast of Burden” by The Rolling Stones. I know The Stones are a little mainstream, and it might not be a song you’d typically choose to do. But I would enjoy it!
I told myself I'd put the electric away and work on fingerstyle and Xmas tunes for the rest of the year. 😮 Cheers Adrian, glad to see you're on the mend!
4:27. Believe it or not, the opening lick might not be Will's creation. Producer Ian Broudie is supposedly the one who came up with that riff. Will may have played it on record, but Broudie created it and did a double-track trick with the tape recorders that made the lick shimmer and shine like a Byrds lick.
Will is one of my favorite guitarists ever. Yes, more Bunnymen please. Also think the guitar on Rescue might be a Fender Jaguar, it appears he might be playing a Jaguar in the photo of the inside sleeve of Crocodiles. But I've seen him with strats too.
He’s back! Hallelujah, a week without Adrian was bloody tough - and as usual (country aside) fantastic choice as ever…saw them play at the Whisky in LA, love Will’s playing, how’s about ‘A promise’? - or anything from Ocean Rain, the greatest album ever made (just ask Ian McCulloch)…
There’s so many good Bunnymen songs to choose from but if I had to pick like three to do a lesson on it’d be Show Of Strength, Do It Clean and Heaven Up Here Edit: or maybe Heads Will Roll and A Promise
Love your lessons, they're always clear and well put together, something that should be strived for tbh. I'm sorry for asking, bit could you maybe do some more talking heads stuff? I'd love to hear your thoughts on Air, I'm not in love or Clean Break
Will Sergeant is a seriously underrated guitarist.
He also wrote an autobiography in 2021. Well worth the read!
Mmmh, "' actually prepared another two or three Bunnymen tracks"'. I'm ready!!
Positively brilliant! Yes, please, please, please more Bunnymen!
How can you go past the classic the Killing Moon.
@@Malady Yes, absolutely, that would definitely be my first choice / request as well! A lot of interesting stuff going on there guitar-wise (both Mac and Will) for sure.
All That Jazz is my fave, again in my humble opinion. Listened this record as soon as it was in the shop, no BS man!
Bunnymen 86 Philharmonic Hall , Liverpool was the best live sound I've ever heard. Will's guitar was mind blowing. After the gig we saw him at a bus stop, in his parka holding a guitar case. Nods were exchanged
I saw them recently in London. Still sounded brilliant. Was a great night. Of course, no Les or Pete. But still great.
Yeah, I'd seen them over the years (82-2009) and he always seemed to like to be out walking near the show. Actually saw him on the street near Radio City in 09 just walking around earlier in the day.
Will Sergeant IS among the guitar greats. Doubt no more.
Absolutely love it. I think "Monkeys" and "Crocodiles" from the same album would be amazing. That ascending guitar part that begins at 0:59 on "Crocodiles" is simultaneously beautiful and baffling.

Great take on a classic. greetings from the Philippines. :)
One of my favorite Bunny songs! 🙌🙌
The Lo-fi Lullabye remix of A Promise is one of my favorite Bunnymen tunes, I listen to it over and over and over....
Man, I love you. Thanks for sharing such amazing skills and brilliant teaching. To find you was one of the best things happened in my year, always wanted to learn to play like these amazing 80s bands.
Used to play the intro differently than the way you do. Another great instructional video on your list. Cheers.
Love Echo & The Bunnymen as well as some more Daniel Ash stuff.
Cool! You started off with one of their best.

Thank you so much, Adrian!
Great choice, thanks. Really appreciate your fantastic interpretation.
more bunny. been waiting for this bunniness.
Yay! Finally! I've been waiting for this for years. Thank you!
we need more Bunnymen !!!
Killer tone and playing as always. Thanks for the lesson.
As a frequent Bunnymen requester, I give this video ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Nice work!
Man oh man! I'd almost forgotten how much I love the Bunnymen. For goodness' sake, please do Silver.
This is very nostalgic for me. Remember seeing them in Brighton about 1987ish
Excellent video … great to see the bunny men at last! ‘Over The Wall’ would be fantastic!
Back to my teens, so cool you've chosen this one. I will have chills playing on the backing track. Tnx a lot
I would definitely like to see more Bunnymen lessons. There are so few good ones out there.
Many thanks for taking the time to make these lessons.
Love this lesson, time for the next one!
God this takes me back. Echo and the bunnymen is essential nu wave listening. Lips 💋 like suger, could never get that song out of my head.
Thanks. I will have to check it out.?
Love the fact you do more obscure songs. Love early bunnymen
Those riffs instantly reveal their Velvet Underground influence. Good shit.
Thank you! yes more bunnymen songs 👍🏻 My Kingdom? Ocean Rain ? Many good songs
+1 for My Kingdom. And I would especially like to see a breakdown of his solo in that song.
You get beautiful tone from that Jazzmaster. Spot on for Bunnymen.
Please do a video on The Cutter!

I enjoyed Sgt Fuzz's book, especially his descriptions about the fashion and music scene. I can't wait for his 2nd book as the first one left on a cliffhanger!
I just finished his second. He's a busy lad !
Nice one, Adrian! Great that you've added Echo and the Bunnymen. Loads more Bunnymen please! 😃
just read Will's book, a great read, I always look forward to your Friday video. thanks for doing them
Yes, I saw he had a book out - not read it yet, but must do so!
Wonderful. Their first 4 albums were all stunning.
Good to say ya back and recovered! Great Liverpool band, them and the La’s !!

I just had visions of me riding my Vespa on a hot, summer, Southern California afternoon. Thanks...

Ace! More Bunnymen songs would be brilliant please. Deffo one of the best bands ever in their prime!
Echo and the Bunnyman, oh I love that sound, reminds me so much of my young years!!!!!!! 🎸👍🎸👍
Very nice! Been listening to their compilation Songs to learn and sing a lot lately. So I guess that I don't have choice anymore and will learn (and maybe sing) this one. Cheers!
Best album is "Heaven Up Here" (gorgeous sleeve, too)
Finally! Echo & The Bunnymen. I had to subscribe. Excellent presentation, as always.
Id never say no to more Bunnymen! Thanks Adrian, fantastic music tasste and lesson as always
Hard to sound exactly like Will Sergeant but you do succeed , I love his guitar playing!
Wills a brilliant player Rescue is a fantastic song the most jangletastic intro of all time
Sergeant is such a great guitarist! Well done!

And slam. Best video for ages. And the others are awesome! Surpassed yourself on this one buddy.
Glad you are well and back at it Adrian. Great lesson as always!
Glad you’re feeling better! More Bunnymen please.
This certainly brightened up the day! Great selection Adrian! And yes, more Bunnymen songs when you get a chance!
Definitely would like more Bunnymen! Great lesson
This is why you're the best channel
Always a pleasure getting top tricks from the Man.
Nice! Do Crocodiles next please.

Yes pls, I’ve admired Will’s playing since the Bunnymen came on the scene. CROCODILES pls pls pretty pls👍👍
Sounds delightful.

Edit: or maybe Heads Will Roll and A Promise
Definitely “A Promise”
Heads will roll... 👍
Brilliant lesson, you know your stuff.
Thankyou.I learned something new again.l played this lesson on my black Telecaster.😀
Well funkin played young man, first 4 albums, no one could touch them
EXCELLENT choice for starters! Thank you!
Brill lesson Adrian. Love Echo and the Bunnymen. Would you perhaps do a lesson on Killing Moon by them in the future. Such a great atmospheric tune
Agreed, a haunting masterpiece.
excellent as ever, yes please to more bunnymen
Keep this trend going with Silver. :-)
Great lesson. Such a simple but catchy melody in the main riff. Can we get Lips Like Sugar next maybe?
Thanks for the lesson and more bunnymen please!!!
Adrian. A behind the scenes showing how you program drums for these lessons be interesting
Nice lesson great info & content thank you - could I also suggest Killing Moon, The Cutter & Lips like Sugar my personal faves👍🎸🎶
15:27 will used his tele on all the recordings of that album, his tele has a whammy bar which he would’ve used
great!!!! now the Church, or lloyd cole and the commotions etc..
Echo and the Bunnymen great post-punk, neo-psyhadelic band 80s
Love your lessons, they're always clear and well put together, something that should be strived for tbh. I'm sorry for asking, bit could you maybe do some more talking heads stuff? I'd love to hear your thoughts on Air, I'm not in love or Clean Break
Well done indeed!
Great stuff, nailed it.
Dude, you look so at home playing this song! 😃
right! its about time! 😁
Great job as always🤸🤸♂🤸♀
Absolutely brillant ! 👏
Yes! More Bunnymen!
