V The Series War of Illusions - Lydia and Philip

In this episode there is a plot inspired by the 1983 film War Games which I guess we have to sit through even though the best part of the episode is the awkward alien equivalent of the staff Christmas party where Lydia (June Chadwick) gets drunk and tries to sit on the new boss's lap (Philip - Frank Ashmore). Someone thought it was a good idea to come dressed as a housefly - what's that about? And isn't Diana (Jane Badler) wearing the same outfit to this party she wore last year?
If only that had been the whole episode instead of having to watch peer over some nerd's shoulder and what him type code that ruins the alien battle plan. Snore.
