This video was extremely helpful. It showed me a starting point for where to begin to figure out why my A/C wasn’t working properly. It cooled great going down the highway, but sucked when car was idling for any amount of time. My problem was not the actuator itself, it turned out that the shaft the actuator turns was snapped off. So I just wanna say that I totally understand your point about how just getting enough of that air cooling done is hard when you’re pulling the hot outdoor air in so in those cases can help a lot. It doesn’t help with the drowsiness and the irritability of elevated CO2 on humans, but upgrading the cabin air filter to a HEPA and adding a portable small air cleaner either a DIY type with furnace filters and a fan or a small DC powered HEPA that runs off the vehicle for either one of those can help. The smoke event that happened last year, where the wildfire smoke came and got concentrated at ground level, I had a particle meter in the car and compared it with readings outside. Those two things helped a lot. Air quality in school, buses and limousines and shuttle buses is still a big unsolved problem. Airborne transmission of illness can be thought of as a bunch of boxes. It happens with mostly indoors and crowded settings and it’s just a problem of reducing transmission between people when in the boxes (for instance, an elevator or a shuttle bus or an apartment, etc.) to a low enough level where super spreading that is longer range transmission between one individual and many others in the setting is suppressed. And that can be done through ventilation, air filtration, and Use of well fitting in 95 respirators.
