I’ve have my 2013 300c for about 6 months. Since I’ve had it the connector has been out and I’ve always wondered what it was for. This is the first week of a heatwave. Plugging the connector in and having the car recirculate gives it an instant 10° difference. THANK YOU THIS WAS A BIG HELP!!
Great video thanks for sharing. I did this on my son's 2012 Dodge Charger and it worked. Got the sensor from Amazon. It solved a bothersome issue. AC is cold!!
Just wanted to say Thank you SOOOO MUCH for posting this! My 2013 dodge charger started doing this about 2 months ago and I tried a few things and saw this video and thought why not so I had to get the sensor from the dealership because auto zone didn't have any and claimed they didn't even know if they could get it so it cost me a little more but I was just grateful I didn't have to put it in the shop and spend even more. I'm leaving for the beach Monday and it will definitely be awesome to have full air conditioning!! Thanks again! You are awesome!!
Got my 2013 Dodge Charger back from replacing the thermostat and coolant - now the recirculate button flashes but will not turn on. Thanks for the very helpful information.
I HAVE STARTED WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS THEY ARE VERY INFORMATIVE AND STRAIGHT FORWARD I LIKE THAT ABOUT THEM . WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE ELECTRONIC BASED DIAGNOSTICS AND HOPEFULLY I CAN KEEP UP . YOUR CHANNEL IS GREAT THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE VIDEOS HOPE TO SEE MANY MORE !
These algorithms for normal function of cab heaters can be complex. I believe the humidity sensor is there to prevent warm moist air from being blown onto cold glass, fogging the inside of the windshield. It has to be disappointing that when such a device malfunctions, you end up with a car that is worse than older models, held ransom by unnecessary technology.
@@wearethefamilyyay2319 Hi! No, I haven't because I cannot find the part. I have searched in autozone, advance autoparts, ebay, amazon, and nothing. Did you had any luck?
@@renearambul6955 yea it worked for me. I know that after starting the car I have to wait a couple of seconds before I can turn it on which is normal. It also wont turn on if it senses a lot of humidity in the car.
@@Captain_Dark i guess it was that it did sense humidity at the time i woke up today and turned it on and it worked perfectly.... i bought it from ebay for 50.
Great Video very helpful information💯 could you do a video on how to “calibrate ac actuator”? I have replaced it 2 times in the last 4 months and im currently hearing the ticking noice again, even when the car is off i can hear the ac blend doors circulating and now the same one has the same issues
Hope you see this. Would you have any ideas why my HVAC system isn't blowing at all, no hot air or cool air is coming out at all. So far its not the blower or the fuses.
My van is 2012 and it's the ac light blinking is it the same part u change or a different one. My wife drives that van with my kids and they get very hot
Will a missing cover cause the recirculation button to continue flashing after the sensor has been replaced? My sensor was replaced but the repair shop broke the cover and the button is still flashing. Can a new cover be purchased if that is the issue?
I have a 2012 Charger and I changed the blend door actuator on the driver side 3 times and it still making the clicking sound. What else could be the issue?
Once I replace the sensor, how do I clear the code? Or will it just start working after I replace it. I'm sure this is my problem on my 2012 Charger cuz sometimes it will go to recirculate mode only for a few seconds. Majority of the time it just blinks and will not go into the circulation
Had the same problem in my 2013 300c. Do you or did you have a loud clicking sound coming from the dash? If you did like mine I took mine to the dealership and they said actuator door was broken. Have to replace that for that door redirects the air flow. Their is a video online to replace it I guess it's common
They will do that if that outside temp is below a certain temperature also. Doesn’t necessarily mean the sensor is broken. They were made to function that way.
Hmm, I’ll be damned. I guess mine is bad in my ram 1500 and Im glad I went ahead and ordered me a new one because I’ve noticed for quite some time now that the only way I can put the HVAC into recirculation mode is to basically just turn off the auto climate control because if the ACC is turned on, my recirc button indicator light will blink like that too and not only that, I’ve noticed for quite some time also that whenever my windshield is fogged up or has a thin coating of ice on it when I go to remote start it in the morning, it may or may not turn the defroster on like it’s supposed to. I guess I can thank the fact that I decided to get Alpha OBD because if it hadn’t been for buying that, I would’ve never known I had this problem because out of all the times I’ve had to hook my OBD 2 code scanner to my truck, it’s never showed that code because the truck has never triggered a CEL and being that my code reader I guess only accesses the PCM, my Alpha OBD can connect to the air suspension control module if you’ve got air suspension, the body control module, the door modules, the instrument cluster module and all the other ones that runs these vehicles nowadays because that was how I stumbled upon the P1009 fault code. I was making a change in the body control module to, I think to enable my daytime running lights and one of the settings I had to change said to make sure that whatever fault codes came up after changing it to clear it and that’s when I noticed that code kept popping up and every time I would clear it, it would come right back so now I guess I know why. Thanks for posting this video on how to replace it and explaining how to know that you’ve got one that’s bad even if you don’t have alpha OBD.
Brother, have mercy on your family, I hated the car because of this humidity sensor, it made me crazy, its suit is like twice, I press it, it turns off A/C, turn off and start the car, the compressor starts again, what shall I do for him?
Says he will show us how to do it and then...camera spins around......half of the process was already completed. Some of us need to see it from the beginning of the process.
I also heard a clicking noise coming from the passenger side close to the radio.... I’ve owned a Dodge Charger before where the heater core needed to be replaced but there was signing like a wet floor due to antifreeze but this isn’t the case I don’t know why the heat or air isn’t turning on
I’ve have my 2013 300c for about 6 months. Since I’ve had it the connector has been out and I’ve always wondered what it was for. This is the first week of a heatwave. Plugging the connector in and having the car recirculate gives it an instant 10° difference. THANK YOU THIS WAS A BIG HELP!!

I noticed my car doing that thanks for the info definitely changing it
Thanks for the video. Can you provide a link where you find the part? I have a 2011 Chrysler 300 with the same problem.

Does this also cause the ac to slow down and speed up constantly too? The recirculation butt9n is doing the same thing

It’s only 15$ for the cover, 75 and some change for the sensor.
My 2011 doesn't have a sensor there
Just saved me a trip to the dealer!! Thanks!
What kind of adhesive do you used to reconnect the humidity sensor to the windshield? Mine is totally detached.
Lord Chael what are you doing here??
Good video. Thank you for the info.
I replaced the humidity sensor and the recirculate button now works, but the air is still not getting cold. Any suggestions? Maybe fuse?
Fuse is usually the problem . # 10 isolated with #20 . i had the same issue . now it works
We would check them with a hot cup of coffee lol watching for the change in the data pid
Had this problem since I bought my car used. Mechanic said it was working as intended. $60 part from NAPA and 5 minutes is all it took.

what if you replace the sensor and clear the code and the button turns on and off and it still doesn't recirculate
Does this work if the heater only works on the passenger side?

Do you know if this sensor will also fit onto a 2013 Dodge Charger R/T? Also having the same problem with the blinking recirculation

right on time!! I appreciate you brother!
How do you pop it out without breaking something
Its a little bitch for sure. A fine tip screw driver or knife. Just work it and plenty of patience 🙂
What would cause the snowflake button to block on a 2008 dodge durango. Now the button won't blink much less turn on.
Very informative
