Saw them opening for Reel Big Fish. I was a huge fan but Streetlight completely stole the show. It was incredible. Don’t forget the bass. He’s constantly going crazy
I saw them open for rbf, it was one of their live album tours in the early 2000s I got backstage and met rbf I asked them how it's been playing with them (I was there for streetlight moreso) and Aaron said "they give us a run for our money every night" lol
And no worries to you both; I love Reel Big Fish, but Sreetlight is an entirely different fish lol. They're an amazing band, especially to see live. That horn section is fucking legendary
@@josephschultz3301I loved catch 22 so I was a huge fan already but never seen them live before that. I figured Reel Big Fish had toured more and would have all the energy on stage and I’m sure they did but coming after streetlight, no contest
As someone who played trombone when I was younger, I have to give Chuck the brain cell for his love of brass. At the the half way point, y'all were talking about the intro and said that you thought it was improvised. As far as I can tell, it sounded a lot like the album version of this song. KEEP THE HORNS COMING!!! 🤘🤘
Went to see them last december, two shows in their home town, with the whole original lineup. Caught Covid, worth it !! Amazing live band and amazing crowd that sings every word and every note of every tune.
You DEFINITELY need to see them live they're so so so good I've seen them at least 12 times since the early 2000s, everyone knows every lyric, the whole crowd becomes the pit
Bois... Streetlight's on tour. They'll be in Chicago in October - and so will I! Can't wait to see them live again! Love the reaction :) Now that you've heard it, you should watch the video for it - I love the art style ❤
Seen these guys live a fair few times, 3 years in a row at the same place for instance. One of my favorite songs by Streetlight, glad you guys reacted to it. Thomas has one of my favorite voices of any singer I've listened to as well. Great video!
The guy from the right thought he will hear some cheesy-happy ska music with his happy/dancing body language at the start of the song, two minutes in the song fully concentrated, blown away
Any time they come to Denver I have to go to the show! Seen them 7 or 8 times. BTW Captain Squeegee is amazing. Danny Torgerson plays trumpet for them and sings. Great bands!
This song is fast paced in the first place, then they up the tempo playing live! I was a band geek through jr high and high school (sax), so like Chuck, I'm here for the horns 🎷🎺😁
Their live shows look like a blast, and it’s impressive how fast they play without missing a beat. But I definitely prefer the studio version of this song (and almost all their songs) more. It’s not as fast, but they perfect every little detail in every song, as well as the mixing of the songs, and that just can’t be replicated live. Check out the studio version if you’re interested, either on your own time or as a reaction. This is probably in my top 3 songs by them.
@@TROBassGuitar Oh I’d still kill to see them live, and would have the time of my life, but I’ve heard what it sounds like and it’s not as pristine as the studio stuff.
One of their better songs. Chuck wins the Celly for Joel forgetting to put this in a 2 Bois playlist after roasting Chuck about forgetting to put something in his playlist 😂

Streetlight with the backing orchestra...Amazing shit! RIP Matt the Trumpet Player.
Everybody, we all need to take a knee for a moment and pay respects to that poor trombonist's lungs. That man died for our musical sins.

I might be going to that show dunno if I can afford it yet
@@TROBassGuitar I feel you; I was there for quite a long time. Hope you can make it. :)

I used to play alto and tenor sax and they have always blown me away. Such a great band.

Member of the Hornpub here too. Though it was Talco that got me into trumpet.
Maybe do something with them? Lodore della Morte?
Saw streetlight a year ago in Seattle. They have been on rof my favorites for years and thy don't stop being the best

You better get your tickets now. They said this will be the last time they tour for a long while
I feel like they say that every year, then sometime after Christmas they announce their tour for the next year.

Try to see them at the smallest venue you can. They are wonderful
RIP Matt
I'm totally just like the guy in the VGK shirt when I hear this band.
Best band in the whole planet. You should listen to "Here's to Life"
They already did!

They already have
@@rineran oh, good to know! Gonna search for it
As I heard dude from A Wilhelm Scream is currently playing bass for them live
Youngblood Brass Band is somewhat similar to Streetlight. Not ska, but riot jazz is decent too. March by Youngblood is pretty.
these guys are probably the best band to ever come out of jersey. bouncing souls and the misfits are probably 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Also when you get the lyrics in your head, those scores will rise lol
Ska is not dead!
Love the VGK shirt
