      It's really great. It's in line with what Hello Games has done with NMS. SOD2 is really climbing it's way to the top of a long list of zombie games for doing something the rest of them dont do PLUS continuing to make their game better.

    I really hope there is a possibility in the future to make settlements bigger.
    A playthrough is for me always come to an end around day 9 because of boredom or no missions anymore, so if you can upgrade your settlement to become even bigger you have more purpose to play longer. So instead of unlock a settlement, build some facilities on limited spots and then go to neighborhoods to loot, kill zombies and do missions all over again, you will build your settlement bigger with resources you loot. Little bit like FO4.

      I don't think they'll do that for SoD 2, but I'd absolutely love to see that, imagine being able to make something like what Oasis probably was before Trumbulls fall.

    I will like to see them improve the follower system. More CPU movement, like having a group of CPUs driving around the map. Cpu fighting each other for resources without u being involved.

      Yea man. Like seeing that i5 8400 scavenging for resources, then seeing an i7 7700K shooting him from across the street. Would be so cool. But in seriousness, having the world more alive with a greater variety of enclaves (rather than always 3 people chilling in a random building) as well as perhaps two more communities which you can interact with as in become allied or enemies. Yes also having people drive cause it's weird that you are the only one able to drive.

    Wouldn't something like rival factions similar to a Civilization game be neat? Where you not only try to survive zombies, but compete for resources and territory.

    Breakdown to me always felt like the correct way to play state of decay 1. As much as I do love SoD2 I feel like it’s just missing a key piece which in my opinion would be fixed with a breakdown mode or something similar in place

    Breakdown would be nice but I really hope they can bring back the radio call that you can call a community member to get the excess materials in the building you're in when you don't have any more space in your bag. That would be nice if they can bring that back.

    I played very briefly on release and came back recently. This is my favourite game right now. It's so fun and replayable. Had a dozen little moments so far. Like when I lost a character I was attached to in a fight with some bandits and I had another survivor go Rogue briefly to avenge them. The different leadership styles and perks are so cool. Loving everything that flavours the characters. The only thing I would ask for is expansions on flavouring the story and characters or some work on the co-op mode so I can play with friends with less restrictions. Other than that the game is fantastic and a relief after seeing the absolutely disgusting releases from AAA studios in recent years.

      so i assume you work for undead labs then? is there any chance for the ability to send other survivors in your camp to do missions/supply runs for you? instead of you always having to do everything yourself? I remember in state of decay 1 you could have your other survivors come to collect a rucksack while you were already looting there but that never showed up in state of decay 2... I was wondering if it would be possible to give commands to other survivors... or even to request help from allied survivor groups (like how they constantly ask you to do things for them) if not for state of decay 2... then maybe for state of decay 3?

    Hey Sunny, great video as always. I would love to see Breakdown or Lifeline added, like you said I think it would add life and new challenges to an amazing game. I’d like to see the swat and army zombies give you ammo, grenades, or a firearm when you kill them, like when you loot a hostile person. I mean they have all that tactical gear on, give you something. I’d love to see exploding fuel tanks like in the 1st game. I’d also love to see more space available in your backpacks, not an extra slot, but being able to double up on gas cans or weapons, like they did with the trunk space on the vehicles. Undead Labs is the only studio out there that truly puts so much effort into a great game, it’s a true labor of love, thank you guys so much!

    I was hoping for more difficulty sliders,like how it says what the difficulty affects what groups of things it affects, you can specifically choose what you want. Since I wanna play the game at normal mode but have the amount of hordes numerous like Nightmare mode

      @@yuckylattice well seeing as how they already limit how many members van be rendered in your base it doesn't really seem like they would make zombies more abundant. We would have more hope if there was a mod to that though.

    Undead labs dont get enough love from the industry, their dedication to sod2 (and the gameplay) is what keeps me playing still after all these years! Not gonna lie, id love for daybreak to get some love, a new map perhaps??

    For everyone wishing a solo mode, you can.
    It is kinda possible to play solo since state of decay 1 (Lily couldn't be killed after updates and became immortal)
    Though harder.
    In state of decay 2 you can do everything yourself except build certain stuff (you get the people and you kick em out without ever using em)
    You can keep stamina using expresso shots and energy drinks.

    I always assumed the main game was Breakdown.
    I just legacy characters like Marcus, Maya and Ed, and a huge revamp to Daybreak.

      It is. Only difference tho is breakdown increases difficulty each reset 99x. Also, after seeing some of the other comments here it seems not everyone knows you don't have to complete a legacy. You take all your crap to a new map or just reset the map your on. Mind blowing people don't know this. Game is basically breakdown already. I just want the extra difficulty tho. Can't wait. Cheers.

      Destroy all plague hearts and then move to another map while attempting the 100days challenge.
      I'd prefer the Devs to add Lifeline instead. We can still see Danforth when on Trumbull Valley.

    This game needs a new mechanism when you try to throw some explosives, I'd like too see where they'll be headed before I touch the throw button, like PUBG for example.

    Thanks for the update Sunny! Much appreciated. I have been a huge fan since SoD1 and am truly amazed that the devs continue giving us fantabulous updates to SoD2. A little disappointed to hear that something like Breakdown won't be anytime soon, but am hyped that they are considering something like it down the road. I LOVED Breakdown!

    If Breakdown does come back one thing I'd like to see is instead of just the difficulty change the maps would change as well so you aren't on the same map. I also think bringing the Danforth map from Lifeline back would be fun.

    I would totally LOVE a game mode similar to breakdown, but with procedurally generated maps instead of the ones we get on the campaign, just to add more flavor to that game. It doesn't matter of they are not as good, but it would be a nice change to have to explore new random places.

    I winder if they will add a gun ammo select to get to your guns faster if you are some one lick me my gun locker is massive from start to end scrolling down to the bottom is around 17 to 19 minutes long it will help a lot

      I sure hope they do, or maybe make it so you can scroll up and it will immediately take you to the bottom of your locker (where the muzzles breaks and suppressors are).

    I'd like to see SoD1 overlay in SoD2JE. It would be so cool to make everything feel so makeshift like in SoD1 while keeping the mechanics and other stuff still in the SoD2JE way.

    I'd like to see more daybreak maps with unique defenses and maybe some sort of ammo/med respawns or drops. I like the mode and it's a challenge but it gets tedious the higher the rounds go. But to add, I think having a breakdown mode would be pretty cool and would like to see some unique mission type scenarios.

      I'd love a revamp to Daybreak as well. Maybe more of a road map, like you need to clear sections of the city, and then you get rewards as you move around

    I don't know if we could ever see this mode I thought of or something similar but I think it'd be fun. Start off in providence the map is set to easy then when you clear the map you move to the next it goes up a difficulty. With every map you get closer to trumble but it set like a ground zero plague walls sectioning off the map and zombie density on get more and more the closer you get to a final plague heart nest

    Breakdown was the only mode I played in SoD1. I do hope that it's brought to SoD2. But, I replicate it (as much as I can), with changing areas when I feel that I've gotten far enough in my saves.

    I'm all for a Frerver mode like Breakdown for the most part, however I do not want the ever increasing difficulty feature. I want to have control of my games difficulty at all times. We choose our difficulty at the game start I wouldn't want that changing and if I did the facility to change the difficulty already exists we do not need a mechanic to force a difficulty increase on us.

I am referring to the "Breakdown Mode" Sunny mentioned from State of Decay 1, whereby you would play through a map but rather than it ending when done you would move on to a new map and the difficulty would automatically go up. Basically seeing how long you could survive before it got too hard. An interesting standalone mode in itself but not really the Forever mode (i.e ability to keep playing endlessly once class story and plague hearts are cleared) people are wanting and have been asking for.

      The game is already made that way. You can already have forever communities and change the difficulty anytime you want. Just keep changing maps or reset map. Once there is nothing left to do on a map you reset the map with same community or go to new map. You keep everything. That's why some peeps have communities that are like day 1000+. Lol. Breakdown is a different forever community mode. It's just adding extra difficulty to a forever community. Plus it had a scoring system that tracked zombie and freak kills for the leaderboard. Each map reset would give a Xs multiplier.

And yes Breakdown is different from a Forever community too I said as much. As things stand right now yes you can move map before completing your leader story and/or clearing all plague hearts and get a fresh map for your existing community, but it doesn't give you more things to do or reason to keep doing that. People do it right now (and I'm one of them) because we have no "forever" option, just endlessly stalling completion, which as mentioned is not the same thing. ALso yes we can change difficulty at any point I mentioned as much previously so we could "immitate breakdown" mode already but again Breakdown isn't what is meant by Forever communities (which is the point I was making in my OP). Also changing difficulty (i./e resetting the map) simply resets containers too it doesn't provide more things to do or reasons to keep playing endlessly.

      @@neowolfsden breakdown in the OG had nothing but allied missions to do. Which is same thing your doing in sod2 now. What incentive are you looking for to play your forever community? Breakdown is just going to add more difficulty to the game which is what hardcore players want. That's the incentive of breakdown. The main game of sod2 is breakdown but without difficulty increasing every reset. Also, the OG had a leaderboards. Which was another incentive to play it. If they bring back that leaderboard then break would have to be non modded and same difficulty increases for all. Without the leaderboards breakdown is pointless.

    It would be cool to see a campaign like Lifeline in state of decay 2, I really liked that campaign because it was with the militay and lot of weapons but the siege were the best.
    I hope they put a mode like that in the future

    For the longest time I really have wanted to see zombie sliders. The ability to change zombie density, toggle freaks, zombie speed and so on. Would really personalize the game

    I hope they fix the buildings for outposts making them look like their more livable. A lot of them are still trashed after you make them outposts . The vet clinics , the special hospital outpost still has bodies in it , same with some of the of military outposts. Also the the road kill restaurant base doesn’t show any items when they are attached to the kitchen. You can attach it but it doesn’t show up physically. Also the very few bars that you can use for a food outpost are always trashed. Tiny improvements could make the game far better.

    The closest modification I imagine for State of Decay 2 to imitate breakdown more so, is to add days to your day counter when you clear a map of plague hearts. Higher days increase the difficulty in sod 2. Every time you level up in breakdown, it gets harder. The difference between the two is that in breakdown you have to earn that difficulty by beating a level. In sod2, you can choose which difficulty to start at, however you have to wait for it to get harder day by day. A way to replicate breakdown in side is to add a number of days (i.e. 10 days) to your day counter when you clear a map of plague hearts. This adds a new incentive to clear a map. Another ideas to add on top of this one: add another set of days (i.e. 10 days) on top of the time jump you get for clearing the map for consecutively clearing maps. This adds the incentive of constantly clearing maps to jump the difficulty further and further. In example: clear one map, get a 10 day jump when moving to the next map. Clear two maps consecutively, get a 20 day jump when moving to the next map. 3 maps, 30 days; 4 maps, 40 days; so on and so on. The bonus time jumps restarts when moving maps without clearing all plague hearts. This further promotes multiplayer, trading, and concurrent players. Players may want to call for help if they time jump to a day (level) that is much more than what they can handle. With a high difficulty quickly reachable, the type of "gear" needed to survive will be in higher demand and have more purpose for all players. Even if a player loses their community, they can easily get back in the game with the knowledge that they can get to the advanced difficulty they want with effort instead of waiting on it. These are just a couple of ideas that could reflect the breakdown mechanic in State of Decay 2 core game.

    I would love to build another community when moving to a new base, while letting a couple of survivors you had in the first base and keep them as an outpost/friendly enclave of sorts. Allowing you to recruit more survivors in your new base.

    I’m still waiting on an update for the cars, specifically either let us be able to use an auto shop or max built workshop to dismantle parked cars near our bases,
    with the call car radio command from a mechanic enclave players can build up whole fleets of vehicles that end up being scattered around if too bunched up in surplus in one area,
    and most common cars given is the old pickup that not many like or don’t know how to appreciate so it would be more beneficial if we had someone in our communities and the needed facilities, to repurpose old cars nobody uses into parts and or repair kits

    Please rework the Lifeline map and make it another map option for SOD2. Also fix some logic breaking stuff. Like certain signs and wheel chairs are immovable/indestructible. And why pushing zombies into working/repairable cars kills them. Destroyed cars don't. Are destroyed cars (permanently destroyed ones) made out of marshmallows?

    what if there was a small chance that a tier three infestation could turn into a plague heart but the map would not start with plague hearts higher difficulty makes plague hearts form faster I feel this would make long term communities more fun as you have to keep fighting the zeds combined with the breakdown idea and the legacy survivor commands idea this would add a lot of longevity to your communities

    I dunno about anyone else, but I think it would be really badass to have a single survivor / single player sorta mode, or a real tag team sorta thing with only 2 survivors.

      Just tried that in lethal difficulty and let me tell you that it is not as fun as it sounds. Every fight feels like your last and getting infected is basically a death sentence

      @@theghoulmaster9566 not really, I do this since state of decay 1. What's fun about it is taking care of that one character. Espresso shots and 1 extra survivor that never goes outside or fights so your character can sleep. Get a heavenly core and you are straight anywhere you move to. You can recruit survivors to build stuff then kick em out without ever using them. You can also have survivors simply back you up from other communities when you go plague hunting or bring all heavy equipment (50cal, gas and frag grenades etc.) Super easy when you only have to make the cure for 1 survivor, even the game tells you bring a cure at all times.

    I think nowadays undead labs is the best Game Studio, they play their game, Interact with The community, have a wishlist for filtering what The players want and making It in a viable way that make The game enjoyable and they Also are Very charismatic with everyone

    Id still really like a change to the inventory menu, i have a community ive played forever, with moving all my things over from old communities, ive literally got every gun and it takes hours to get to my suppressors lmao

    They should add new enemies.Like a zombie who spits chemicals on you or a zombie in hazmat suit who irradiate you if you get bit and this should come with new treatment in infirmary like a heal for chemical and radiation bites.

    Even if they couldn’t bring breakdown back I went be ok with a reward system to earn new clothing items besides just doing bounties a clothing items I would like to see is from a few characters I loved from Breakdown DAN the swat captain had a AA12 Automatic SG , K.C Winters the AKA the Gunner the soldier guy had a big ass LMG , Gurubini she had a special silenced Rifle ,Amelia TK3 and kanobo, Mickey Wilkerson if they do bring back Breakdown hopefully they bring back some outfits from some of the characters from Breakdown stuff like Dans Crowd Control Gear, K.C Flak Vest and Combat Helmet, Amelia’s Blue Hoodie with the cowboy boots

    I think we can all agree that Undead Lab’s has truly set themselves apart from other devs in nowadays. The amount of updates we’ve been getting versus a lot of other game’s is really remarkable to me. Now if they can remove that darn tether from multiplayer I’d be set 👍

    I'd love to see more hostel communities moving in or communities who request stuff and turn hostel .. I enjoy some good gun fights ... I don't enjoy zombies spawning on my back :(

    I cant argue with what Undead Labs does with this game, because they have consistently worked to make it better BUT...I know I dont speak for myself only, a Lone Wolf mode would be really cool.

    I think if they add Breakdown, it will be in SOD3 and not 2. Most of the features from Breakdown are already in this game anyway.

    I love State of Decay 2, but they really need to overhaul the inventory system.
