cool beans
My pleasure - thanks man! 👍
with outposts they should just make it if ur allied with an enclave to give u an option to move them into the outposts to defend them .wish they had like a lifeline map in sod2 instead of the daybreak thing.
I wish too! Unfortunately they say they are not adding any city maps in state of decay 2 any time soon, but they also say that they might add a city map in state of decay 3.
I think the first idea would be a little overpowered, plus it wouldn't work with how the game spawns survivors anyway. Only 8 human NPCs can exist at one time, if you just moved all your enclaves next to your base you would jave a crazy good defensive perimeter, but you'd also never see your survivors.
@@knightmare1267 isnt it a soft cap of 9 and a hard cap of 12?
@@waah5901 nope, that's just for community size. Even if you have 12 survivors, you will never see all of them. You'll see a maximum of 7 in your base + the character you're playing as.
I love the idea of putting in the lifeline map. As well as including people like sasquatch. But without the time limit. Let the city map be it own full map to fully explore and build bases
With all these roaming infestations, it would be nice to, I dunno, get fire protection around our outposts like in SoD1... A feature I Still don't understand why it was removed.
Alongside exploding petrol tanks.
Their video was just an update to say update 30 is taking longer than expected.
I want new missions and groups.
I want to name my community.
I want more clothes, new cars, new features.
Honestly I just want larger enclaves. Groups of three survivors dont really make sense and they barely put up a fight when threatened. Also seeing enclaves leave there base and scavenge sometimes would be cool.
Just hope infestations don’t end up just being a nuisance.
They already are.
I'm surprised that not more players are complaining about the rapid infestation spawns it's insane.
Wish they would just remove them. They’re dumb as hell.
yea it really depends on how rapid your outpost or the same buildings get infested, if it's all the time it imo won't be fun
It's already like that I clear sum out and they spawn hours later or a day cycles
It would be cool if we could have united enclaves like a step above allied where as they are a part of your community but occupy an outpost. Like the mechanics occupy the garage you still get the bonus from them which you can also play as them or relocate them as necessary.
Take all the time they need, The longer I don’t play the game, the more fun I’ll have when I finally play it again
One option for prestige could be to simply have the random Red Talon specific missions that appear give you the option for prestige as a reward. There's one mission where the person says what do you need and it gives options like food, meds, a weapon etc. The same could be swapped for RT missions and just throw prestige into the mix.
Another way is have the ability to call in the RT prestige trader, and they can also issue you a mission such as clear X amount of infestations, snipe X amount of zombies or destroy a heart. Similar to the bounty broker but the reward is prestige.
Regardless, i welcome all the changes they're talking about here. They sound great.
Another pair of updates that hold a lot of promise and everything headed in the right direction. Very exciting. The manned outposts from SoD1 are definitely a needed mechanic. Once you get your map's economy at your base constantly producing your five basic needs, it'll be great to allocate some of those resources to outpost defenses. The size of the community concerns me though. We need more people to disperse among the outposts. I think 15 should be the minimum among the four leader types. Also, thank you for detailing everything.
Dude thank you for the info!!! I have been waiting for a while to hear something 😁
It’s such a shame because I used to love SOD2 - but just fell out of love with it because it felt like it going round in circles! No real meaning behind anything and super repetitive. I do hope that I can get back into or if not that SOD3 blows me away!
lol what
That's literally every game on the planet........ You play it long enough and the only thing you can do is repeat the same mechanics over and over..
@@jfthereaper927 true, however the replayability of lots of other games is much higher, like Red Dead 1&2! Plus all the side missions, the challenges etc
New maps that's the only thing i need
Well at least they are keeping us informed and not stringing us along, I was expecting end of July early August for update 30 and have been super excited for a game for a long time but I will wait longer if it makes the gameplay better and no bugs so thats fine by me
More like new bugs on top of the ones they can't or don't want to fix
Fun fact, if you have 10 community members before playing on the heartland map you can get 11 members when you recruit the red talon guy
Thanks sunny, I seen my buddy Guru!!
your videos are really giants 😁😁😁 I mean they are cool and very informative even though this one is about update 30 and already we have update 32 in our hands but still watching this one is amusing so thank you for making this channel 👍
What I want future on is bigger bases with larger communities, and designable themes for my camps. (Mad Max Road Warrior theme with skulls on poles and burning torches is the way) :D
Some outer region trade with ny own communities would make this game even that much better
Also more ammo this is America c:
that would be an awesome feature but sadly i think its too easy to break. Maybe if they introduced a plague wall type thing like from heartland, where youre locked out of trading with your own community until late game, but even then its probably still kinda broken + takes away from pre-established lore/narrative
Love your content
You know what would be even better?adding the Danforth Map to State of Decay 2
Either it got nuked or overrun by zombies
@@ArthurCallahanSolos It wasn’t nuked. That isn’t the canon ending
@@meatwagonx33 how do you know? Undead labs never confirmed the canon ending
@@ArthurCallahanSolos Yes they did
@@meatwagonx33 source?
Dude, imagine being able to move a community member into a certain outpost area to make room for more members but keep the voice and model of someone by having en be at an outpost
definitely the the survivor cap and base defenses would be interesting and definitely needed so i hope they decide on that.
I wish they'd give us more info about SoD 3.
increasing the number of members in a community is the number 1 thing holding this game back for me. It's also been pretty high on the wish list for years as one of the most requested updates. If it ever happens this game would become one of the all time greats to me.
What I would really like to see (but would probably never be implemented) is a toggle to allow multiplayer partners to access the stash the same way the host does.
The way MP works makes sense if you assume that MP partners are joining from more developed communities to assist less or equally developed communities, but if a bunch of friends are playing together from the beginning then the wheels start to fall off pretty hard after the first session.
Playing on Nightmare or Lethal, it's very hard to go multiple sessions without returning to your own game to scavenge for medicine and such, especially if this is a brand new community that never had any to begin with.
Not only that, but if you've already played for 3 hours in another community then your survivors have accumulated a bunch of reputation that will make the world punish you harder in your weakened state.
When I was playing Nightmare with friends, I regretfully had to make a new community between each session because the moment I went back to my own game I'd lose 1 or more survivors to a jugg gank or multiple swarms just outside my starter base.
I can understand that most of the playerbase plays solo and the few who do dabble in mp mostly do so in matchmaking where you absolutely wouldn't want randoms taking all your fuel, but a trust mode for playing amonst friends would make my day. I don't need free resources, but I do need my efforts within the friend's game to produce a natural positive feedback loop like it does in my own game.
I was thinking of making a locker for rucksack, tired of friends and random people stealing my rucksack from my vehicles. Can put a locker in the storage facility space, makes sense to have it there. And taking over warehouses a rucksack locker will appear instead of a normal locker.
Other game studios need to take notes from undead labs because when they know something is wrong they give us a heads up instead ghosting the gaming community
Good to see your content come back!
Thanks Johnny!
@@SunnyGamesYT for sure! Thank you for the heads up for the communities! I was actually about to do that!
I would like to see a way to heal friendly community's.. with meds quest field hospital ...
also .. this infestation event has to be hard . which will hurt a lot of people .... currently I do t even mind them unless I'm playing around not quest makes me
It seems like when I would find a rucksack that I couldn't carry I could radio my base and someone would come get it.
I would love a defense system for outposts etc
I want state of decay breakdown with random maps you change to with increasing difficulty like SoD1
I think I missed something... If the new infestation mechanic will stay as it was presented, why are they delaying the release? From what I can see, players have been complaining about how annoying the mechanics are.
Now, what excited me the most was the Armory having the main functions of the workshops. That is a game changer.
Infestation mechanic is for update 31, not update 30.
Update 30's Forever Communities functionality has been consistently causing bugs which lead to deletion of the entire legacy pool or at least a part of the legacy pool. These bugs have lead to the release delays for update 30.

Yeah, I understand the order of updates, my question is specifically about delaying infestations. They were introduced long before the forever communities (and honestly the most annoying part is already working in the base game).
@@JulioCezarValenca that is not the introduction of infestation
Its half of the old features and half of the news ones, what they explained as the new infestation features hasn't been released yet.
@@JulioCezarValenca hoards rn do the new feature of invading houses but that is the only thing new
The infestation doesn't spread on the same area nor does it grow until it becomes a huge hoard size of 2-3 inside a house. They don't send hoards towards your base either n I play lethal.
Currently it's around the same number per hoard and infestation.
And funny fact if u mod an infestation into 1 of ur outposts not in beta then it will actually do the same thing and make it where u won't gain anything until u clear it so actually it's already implanted into the game itself just they never did the hoard moving around implanted into it yet but modding the game u can see that the outpost infestation Is already in the game itself.
I hope they release the update soon..
Sunny games when do you think we will hear about future updates or a road map
Hey update 30 is out on Xbox just booted it up currently reading patch notes, hope everyone enjoys this one
Glad they are still working on the game since 2018
I dont wanna micro manage infestations. I want horde involved missions
This would be nice. Finally have a reason to use fire crackers and fireworks.
I've been litterly holding out on a community on lethal all hearts dispatched. Just waiting for the updates! Love this game!! Really hope they get the bugs fixed!
Haha same xD
Same but in NM zone
It just keeps getting harder and more convoluted as time goes on.
I'm fine with the delay because I am still trying to scrounge up a lot of explosives and ammo for my 'forever community' because I saw how aggravating the new mechanics could be. Also having some other way to get prestige points is huge help I do hope they implement it. Hearing that there could be base defense could potentially alleviate the difficulty in defending outpost because I was just planning to put minefield in the hordes path and be done with it lol
hopefully that works too, but getting a former community member cost 1,200 influence and I think an hour cooldown? I'm not sure if that's worth it. And the trader depot got a huge nerf. Cooldowns are now 180 mins per call but it can give you now 200 influence daily.
@@joshuacabral2348 I already have about 10 members in my current community so I don't need to recruit for legacy pool but I think the 1 hr cooldown could just be 10 mins really.. cos its people from your legacy pool..why make u wait to get them.
I have never used trade depot before but I could see how 180 is a huge cooldown for an essential building..i hope they reduce the cooldown.
@@yukihira1363 I was actually gonna point on the aftermath, You might wanna get some of your old folks back for their supplies and abilities and then just send them back to the pool if you picked up the pace on a new community you're gonna make after you finish yours.
This kinda sucks for me tbh, It forces us to ALWAYS go for Builder and Trader boons forever. Which is not bad actually and its the best boon combo ever but it makes Sheriff and Warlord boon unloved and useless. Hope they consider this too.
@@joshuacabral2348 on your first point I don't have a need to do that anymore but I now get the point you're trying to make. I can't even remember what skills/items the legacy survivors have so I'm not to excited about recruiting them lol.
hmm i do see the sheriff boon as more useful than the trader boon because the trader boon only happens at the start of a playthrough right. while sheriff boon is kinda always there and gives you supplies? or am I missing something.
@@yukihira1363 not really actually but that's just it, Sheriff Boon is kinda lackluster now, You're just getting random stuff with a sure shot of 1 painkiller and bag of snacks but randoms are guns or sometimes bombs and bullets instead of just plain old 1 painkiller/snacks and random firework and weak stuff. Its just a buff for the daily supply run and turn it into "daily gifts".
Its great in the long run but not so much either. Sheriff Boon is kinda MEH right now. You can't totally feel its impact in early or late games but its not also bad to have. I finished all my Lethal runs and grabbed all those boons and all I can say is, Trader and Builder are always the most LOGICAL and the BEST boons you can grab. I tried Trader plus Sheriff and it made my life just a teensy bit harder because I had to stay at Squelones Brewery until the last because I cant afford 2 Outposts for just Electricity and Water and its freakin hard to grab a signal booster.
Can someone tell me when the "forever communities" update comes out. I've been waiting but all I see is news and promises.
Help... Im on "Dark Side" ... (as allways perfect update video on this game)
I love a challenge to be honest especially on lethal but I hope they give us something in return for destroying infestations. Imagine if you start up new for your first lethal run and instead of scrounging for some already almost depleted supply map, you are OBLIGED to defend and destroy infestations instead. This means that you can miss up important missions and tech up fast to destroy the plague hearts.
A forever community could help a bit but its not gonna be easy because it cost 1,200 influence if I recall correctly. I just wish they consider giving extra bonus rewards for completely destroying infestations or just tone it down a bit in spawning and spreading time of hordes to infest. Still waiting what could be that "Boon and Bane" perks.
i mean, is that not realistic? The zomboes arent gonna wait patiently for you to stock up lol. Besides, you can get decent influence for taking out an infestation already (freak kills + horde kill + infestation kill) not to mention the missions to kill infestations for 100/200. All of which would become exponentially more common as the infestation number grows. Lethal should feel exactly as its called, lethal and not "fairly easy until you get stuck somewhere and die to the 5 ferals that just spawned" lmao
@@waah5901 I never saw me getting 100 or 200 influence when destroying infestations on lethal. That's why I hate destroying them. But it benefits me for the non-stop zombie sieges.
Maybe thats what you're talking about? Zombie sieges? Yeah that gives you 200 influence for sure, 240 if you have satellite bonus and maybe 270? If you have "Tough Negotiations" skill trait.
Wanted to get back into the game but i'll rather wait for both the updates.
The old adage is if it ain't broke don't fix it... the more changes they make, the less I want to play this anymore. The game went to hell after that last major "graphics update" now everything just looks faded and washed out and fuzzy.
Joining a friend: the repetitive sound bug (like a helicopter) needs to be fixed. The chars falling through the eternal and half stuck in the ground needs to be fixed. In general more options for minor coop players would be cool.
I agree bug fixes is what this game needs not more ways for your game to break
Will i be able to transfer all my loot completely to a new game???
WHEEEEEEEEEN?!
I already had a community dissappear due to a bug that currently exists. Made me quite sod2 for awhile.
Can I get an infinite ammo update?
At this rate ill get my social security before these updates come out
I must be missing something specific about wanting this forever community so badly.....since you essentially can already do that. Beat all the plague hearts, get what you want, drive to a new map, rinse and repeat. Change out your leader if you want afterward to start a different way of playing. What exactly is the forever community going to provide that you can't already do other than be able to change boons perhaps?
U can actually complete the game and still keep the community you just brat the game with
We can’t do this now
@@lotfiouldadda2138 That's what I'm saying - we can already do 95% of that now. Have your community destroy all the plague hearts in town, do everything you want BESIDES the last mission for you leader, when you get bored just take a member to the gate checkpoint and go to another town. You keep all the same members, all their experience, all your supplies, all your vehicles, everything. The only difference is that you didn't officially beat the game / map, you don't get the same generic 20 second cut scene at the end, and you don't get to change the boons that you have with the current method. That's why the only thing I can see being beneficial is if you want different boons to play with which I admit doesn't happen with the current method of just driving to another town. This has been around for years, I find it really hard to believe that I'm the only person who's thought of doing this.
Lets take a trip down memory lane.. Undead labs releases news about state of decay 2, ends up canceling it, then microsoft bought the rights or the company or whatever and ended up finishing the game, and now we're here... The nostalgia is real when remembering the excitement of seeing the tweet about microsoft funding production or whatever they did.
How many gaming channels does he have like I always thought he just did sunny cloud gaming but I guess he also has a small Chanel called xbox central and a few other gaming channels.
No, the biggest question is… What’s up with Jeff’s hair?
Is it on console
Well the cap of survivor's isn't 9-10 of course u already know this I know. And yes technically without doing a mission the max is 10 but if u help the drunkies/ people who love em drinks of their's and stop helping them after helping them a few different missions and u have 9 people u can get all 3 to join u because they will asked to join ya too get 12 people for ur max with the mission.
I'd be fine if the game didn't freeze and BSD my PC. Only game that does this.
Bring out the 3rd game already
The update is taking forever to drop off i dealt with all PH and did all legacy missions to the last im just waiting for the forever community to be real since i really dont want to loose all the things i gathered in this community
Having to run around for infestations is tiresome
I’d like to eliminate freaks and make zombies actually slow walk zombies. Basically I want a Walking Dead simulator because I absolutely hate the realism break of freaks or fast zombies. Slow walking dead who out last and out number you are my real fear.
Just install a mod.
I really think they should do an update to hostile survivors because I shot the students in the leg with a spas and he didn't die for some reason only when I shot him in head these aren't zombies they're humans they should react to harm like humans if I shoot someone in the stomach they should maybe fall over in pain but not Dead like they should be treated like humans also one thing that keeps getting me mad about them is when I shoot them in the head they just drop to the ground acting like I just didn't use a powerful shotgun to shoot their head off also their heads just explode no bullet holes no nothing they just explode I really think that should be something a part of one of the next updates maybe update 34 but I don't know it's just thought
I'm tired of waiting even though I would rather them take their time on it so it's good damn how long does it take you told us this came out in July months ago then July came around and went then you said early August then early August came and went and now you're saying you really don't know WTH
They need to work on fixing the game breaking bugs and stop adding new ones the game is fine how it is
hi friends :D
hey man! how you doing?
@@Unknown.141 I'm doing great :D how are you? :D
They are not listening to many people saying to add support for pagefile.... most of these bugs are related to low memory
Losing your community... That's a new spin on the "forever community" haha
I just want SOD3 i can't play sod2 anymore it's too repetitive lol
What makes you think 3 will be any less repetitive? I doubt UDL will stray very far from the formula that’s been working for them since SoD1
No Disrespect. Love you and the videos, but really......? Are we Really gonna talk about Update 31??? With Update 30 pushed back endlessly?
"Oh we found this bug making communities vanish"
"Oh new bug that makes you black screen"
"Welp were delaying 30 again because of a new bug"
At some point yall gotta get REAL with yourselves. Almost seems like just "Concepts" then actual realities.
Update 30 is too long to come....
If this game became open multi-player it would be unmatched
I'm sorry but if they can't pull off this forever community update 30 it'll be an epic failure.
Game is buggy as hell regardless.
rad
The more I hear about "Coming Up" and "Oops, another problem" the less I care. Especially since I know that one thing that will never change is the frame stutter present since day one. This game has always been State of Decay 2 SE (stuttering edition).
