Black Plague Heart was a nightmare on all difficulties, and even worse if like me you got it as the very first curveball with a new community like I did one time (something they have now fixed, thankfully) In that playthrough it was just unbeatable I ended up having to move map, had no ranged weapons, no ammo, third of the map covered with black plague heart health drain effect, endlessly spawning infestation hordes I couldn't get in to stop and it wouldn't end because the heart had to be destroyed to end it and only had the three people I began with lol
@@Colton-gu8xx it is one of the Curveballs, it is a black and glowing plague heart that has a huge radius around it that puts a DoT on you while you are within it and drains fuel faster from your vehicles. The radius can spawn black plague heart zombies that are like infected on crack that are really fast and lots and lots of them (they can drop black plague heart samples that you can trade to an npc during the curveball). The plague heart itself take s a RIDICULOUS amount of damage to destroy which you have to do in order to end the curveball event. Also the Black Plague heart activates ALL normal plague hearts in its radius, so basically sh** hits the fan when you get this curveball in a big way if you aren't able to deal with it very quickly.
I think the biggest problem with black is that it didn't scale properly. If you're someone who regularly crush lethal the difficulty hike isn't too jarring, but for people who play standard or dread normally, the difficulty hike is massive.
I haven't played in a long time but can't u just pick up their flesh samples and make the cure that's what I did always made sure I stashed a couple extras
Overall it’s a great update, I really wasn’t sure about the rucksack depositing but it certainly saves a lot of time! And glad the bloaters got the change!

I’ve played Sod 1, but I just started sod 2 about three weeks ago. On day 3, the black heart curveball spawned in and I was complaining to my friends that it keeps coming closer to my base and I almost died attempting to squash it on day 9. It felt like all my complaints about the game were solved with this update, like the bloaters being OP and depositing the rucksacks at outposts!
I always thought that and bicycles. Bicycles could be the slowest way to get around but be faster than running/walking. The caveat is that you can’t store anything but you’re silent as you ride through. Maybe a bell as a horn for distracting one or two zombies nearby.
For me, this update is so welcome. I always pick the most centrally located base for convenience, but now that we're able to deposit rucks at outposts, there's no real reason not to try out some of these other bases I've been missing out on
I would love to be able to use attach trailers to the trucks and SUVs to carry more items or even a destroyed vehicle. They already have tow hitches and trailers, why not make them usable?
The problem with the game while playing with controller is the ads sensitivity- please notify undead labs, let us increase the ads sensitivity to match the - mouse speed -we need to be able to increase the ads sensitivity !!!it’s too slow with controller- it’s perfect with mouse .. please tell them - fix controller ads sensitivity it’s too slow !!!!!
I'm still scared of facing juggernauts in each ending. They take way too much ammo even in lower difficulties. Though I did kill one by abusing its pathing over a roadside railing. I only had a crossbow then. When it does its climbing animation you can get free attacks in.

hey Sunny, before i comment lemme say i did not watch the whole thing yet but at 2:47, you have always been able to drop in the overworld, the update allows you to drop in containers so that you dont have to back out of the loot container to make room edit: drop in the container screen, not directly into the container i dont think, I havent gotten to try it but I remember theres a regular drop item button in the inventory screen, which was what you ended up showing.

Yes, this isn’t the only update in 3 years, and don’t expect 3 anytime soon, the developers said last year that the earliest you can expect a trailer is 2025
MSFT makes some of the most addictive games ever, in both action and strategy, such as HALO, Age of Empires and now this game, which I discovered recently. The beginning was a learning curve but after that, my goodness, it's amazing. Games such as this can be revisited yrs after and still be addictive, it's not so much about top graphics but the gameplay/strategy itself that I find amazingly good.
I getting gas from damaged cars I mentioned awhile ago. Also destroyed or damaged cars could be scrapped for parts or fuel. And driving any vehicle in the game even trucks or tractors would be cool
Black heart was the worst they definitely fixed it a little bit before they did I drove in there for not even a second and my car died and I had to use 4 gas cans to get it out
It got unplayable, any of my communities past day 4 freeze after a few seconds of gameplay. As soon as the curveball activates i cant play anymore. I tried deleting all local saved data fir the game, uninstall and reinstall, and it still does the same thing but their suggestion with "help" is that its something local corrupted instead of thinking maybe its update 36
Am getting a glitch with trying to pick up from "loot boxes" - it just doesn't pick up. So far the answer is "restart the game." This is certainly "new with this update" for me
I think being able to deposit rucks at an L2 is an ok improvement because it is just a bit too janky, being right in front of a watch tower at your base, and getting smashed by ferals/juggs.
Atleast you can play. Since the update I get about 15 seconds before my game freezes on any community with curveballs active. Good thing state of decay 3 won't be out for a while if quality of life means unplayable

Hey man you are so went into the silent we need something anything about SODs 😮 it's been almost 2 weeks, also since they listening to you, would you like to ask them where is the repetitive crossbow in sod 3, I finished sod 2 on lethal without firing a single bullet, only my community members were firing bullets to defend the base, but me with the help of that repetitive crossbow finished the game on lethal several times, so it's necessary that State Of Decay 3 not getting any downgrade by not creating repetitive crossbow, so you as our representative should dig it out, I know if you dig there's nothing you can't find, so I'm asking you please help a gamer out, thank you
Since last patch of plague heart hordes (cant remember the exact patch) game become actually harder to survive on lethal, (because of plague horde attacks in early game) i had to change region for more than 5 times before i've been succesfull to get comfortable in the town, before that i was spamming bombs to clear in early game but now clearing plague areas are much more deadly and requires cunning approach. It's an underrated zombie survival game amongst "hypetrain unfinished zombie survivals". Just needs a little better coop and online options, better character customization, shared servers or stuff like that to create a online communities in same map so people can create community maybe rp server and stuff so game can evolve to something else etc. etc. It has too much potential. And for god's sake add execution option for downed enemy survivors.
Since update 30+, Bloaters were the ones doing most of the kills even more than Ferals. They could kill your survivor in a matter of a few seconds and even if you survived that, the blood plague would just kill you. Great that they were nerfed.
The detach attachments in the locker one is the one I like best, but the drop from containers one is also something I've found myself wishing for in past playthroughs.

Ive been a state of decay fan since the arcade days. Its a real shame i cant make a base with my friends and share the same community. This one change would make this game legendary.
It's not making the easier that bothers me. SoD2 has always been a casual game for me. I just don't like them making the game less realistic. So now I can dump a bag in an outpost on the other side of the map and immediately use those materials to upgrade a base facility or make something in a facility. Basically, if I am on the opposite corner of the map from my base with bloodplague and no cures and no medicine I can now... Loot a rucksack of medicine. Claim an outpost in the building I just found the medicine. Upgrade that outpost once. Deposit the rucksack in my new level 2 outpost. Make the plague cure in the infirmary at my base. Withdraw the plague cure at my new outpost. Cure myself. The very least they could do would be to make a timer so you drop a rucksack and it takes 30 minutes to appear in your resources. Logic being that one of your other survivors came and picked it up. You could even have a radio call similar to the first game. Like "Hey, I need someone to come bring some resources back to base."
The fuel drain happens a lot slower now, before update you couldnt make it more than a coupele seconds, but counter to your suggestion, I think the black heart was worse for lower difficulty players, because the difficulty increase was more jarring
Its a great update and hopefully there'll be more like it! I'm still gutted they haven't fixed the *"Show Idle Weapon Info"* not working (it never has lol) when it's set to Never. Come on guy's, that'd take ten seconds to sort!
I am surprised you said that you haven't found a blood plague survivor yet . I've got like 12 of them.. Hell for a while there they were popping up so frequently it was just sending them away from my community because I don't need anymore lol. Oh and curveballs suck I hate that they added them to the game.
Part of me is like "Now, NOW you let us deposit our rucksacks in outposts!" But I can see how this would let you turbo charge looting. Clear a whole neighborhood easily.
I'd love to see lots of new content come to SOD2 before 3 comes out. Otherwise they should allow an in game mod menu like Fallout 1.) More guns like actual LMG's such as the M249, M240B, PKM, MG36 etc. I'd also love to see the Aug A3, FN P90, FN Five Seven, Colt AR57, ACR, FN F2000, HK MP7, and many more. Most these guns could be found in US 2.) More vehicles like Motorcycles, Bicycles, Dirt Bikes, Quads, Golf Carts, Electric Car, Fire Truck, Semi Truck, Bus, and maybe a Tank lol 3.) More maps of course but also new buldings/textures. The houses feel so recycled. I wish the game had a list of house designs, furniture, trim etc that was randomized each playthrough making old maps feel fresh 4.) Horse's and a lasso to drag zombies around like RD Undead Nightmare lol 5.) Slightly increase the blood & gore, feels pretty cheesy. At least better blood textures nonetheless 6.) Variable weather effects (I see this being challenging, get modders to help) To end this we can only expect so much from SOD2 but I hope to see SOD3 to feel as detailed as RDR2. Imagine if 3 had destructible environments like Battlefield, Car selection like GTA, Car Physics like Wreckfest or Beam NG, Gunsmith system similar to RDR2 or MW3, Upgradable Character Perks & Extensive Settlement building like Fallout 4, and last but not least a real catchy story with multiple playstyles and endings, but also full of side missions like RDR2
Looks like the devs were actually focusing on making the game better instead of putting more effort into removing flavor text that certain people bitched about.
can someone smarter then me please help me on my xbox series x . For the last 2 days i cannot load my game for more then 8-10 seconds before it freezes and never un freezes. I tried restarting / shutting down / shutting down and unplugging / deleting larger games i dont play to free up space. But none of that has worked . Its a newer tv and xbox series x so i dont think its a video setting problem since i played for many hours without issue . Is this an update issue? Either way pleaseeeeee someone help my dumb ass
Probably won't get this, but gender-tied outfits are kind of annoying. I dunno if the new studio ever plans on remodeling existing outfits for the opposite sex, but it'd be nice to see. Never noticed that half of the animal hoodies are also tied exclusively to one bodyshape/gender.
I so wish they bring in modular vests and more tactical gear that you can modify and it actually make an impact in game. Like having mags on a vest instead of “pockets” in the back pack. Like keep the weight but free up the pockets from putting just ammo in them
I'm just waiting for them to make co-op more desirable. Being a guest in someone's game isn't very enjoyable. You're pretty much there to help kill zombies and nothing else.
Love to see the quality of life changes. I would have rather had another map or game mode but I'll take what I can get. I haven't enjoyed the curveballs all that much though.
Please fix the coop and give us actual coop, please give us the option to create a character if we want, please give us more (better) clothing and give us the option to mix and match more, please add more than just 3 people at other camps, please fix the gun damage model when fighting against humans etc

Been a while since a played state of decay 2 so i thought lets come back to it. Then i see purple zombies and they explode when you shoot them. Wtf is this shit?? We should be able to turn that off in the settings some people want realisme when they play
I don't get the hardcore fanbase thing, simple solution for not liking the locker depot, don't use it? It's such an easy fix that doesn't affect everyone
pre nerf the black heart was so friggin challenging but enjoyed this game had something challenging once you master lethal there was nothing to it but that black heart wasd something very very challenging
They should allow you to do raids on others it gets you a lot of items but it would massively lower your reputation for everyone on the map so it’s something that is extremely costly but it would pay off in the short term
I would have said no a year ago but anything I feel is possible when you have a whole different dev team working on this game. With that I don’t think it’s likely but I won’t rule anything out because of the factor I just mentioned
I just don't want it to be too easy. I kinda like the feeling of being extremely carefully. like the movie, The Walking Dead? Where things when it comes to looting and everything like that. Black heart is easy to beat if you take out a lot of zeds legs and make them crawlers than they can’t get into buildings to attack

One of the ex-devs (he now works on SoD3) said they're genuinely thinking about putting in a kind of tow truck mechanic in SoD2 & 3😅
If we upgrade an outpost to level 3, we should be able to extract a ruck. Also a level 3 outpost should have a slightly larger area for base defenses.

There is a pc mod that make the traits rolled on the start to be generally better, it's great not to roll 1h before even start playing

im not a lethal vet i just pumped 800+ health community members, some did get blood plague survivor, hope sod3 lives to the hype

Since last patch of plague heart hordes (cant remember the exact patch) game become actually harder to survive on lethal, (because of plague horde attacks in early game) i had to change region for more than 5 times before i've been succesfull to get comfortable in the town, before that i was spamming bombs to clear in early game but now clearing plague areas are much more deadly and requires cunning approach.
It's an underrated zombie survival game amongst "hypetrain unfinished zombie survivals".
Just needs a little better coop and online options, better character customization, shared servers or stuff like that to create a online communities in same map so people can create community maybe rp server and stuff so game can evolve to something else etc. etc. It has too much potential.
And for god's sake add execution option for downed enemy survivors.
Great update, but I would have preferred the rucksack deposits being locked till level 3 outposts - to make the top tier more worth the influence.
Since update 30+, Bloaters were the ones doing most of the kills even more than Ferals. They could kill your survivor in a matter of a few seconds and even if you survived that, the blood plague would just kill you. Great that they were nerfed.
The detach attachments in the locker one is the one I like best, but the drop from containers one is also something I've found myself wishing for in past playthroughs.

Ive been a state of decay fan since the arcade days. Its a real shame i cant make a base with my friends and share the same community. This one change would make this game legendary.

It's not making the easier that bothers me. SoD2 has always been a casual game for me. I just don't like them making the game less realistic. So now I can dump a bag in an outpost on the other side of the map and immediately use those materials to upgrade a base facility or make something in a facility. Basically, if I am on the opposite corner of the map from my base with bloodplague and no cures and no medicine I can now...
Loot a rucksack of medicine.
Claim an outpost in the building I just found the medicine.
Upgrade that outpost once.
Deposit the rucksack in my new level 2 outpost.
Make the plague cure in the infirmary at my base.
Withdraw the plague cure at my new outpost.
Cure myself.
The very least they could do would be to make a timer so you drop a rucksack and it takes 30 minutes to appear in your resources. Logic being that one of your other survivors came and picked it up. You could even have a radio call similar to the first game. Like "Hey, I need someone to come bring some resources back to base."
The fuel drain happens a lot slower now, before update you couldnt make it more than a coupele seconds, but counter to your suggestion, I think the black heart was worse for lower difficulty players, because the difficulty increase was more jarring
The things that kinda a down fall is that when ur in a team u can go far u have to stay in a certain distance. Wish that would not be a thing

I am surprised you said that you haven't found a blood plague survivor yet . I've got like 12 of them.. Hell for a while there they were popping up so frequently it was just sending them away from my community because I don't need anymore lol. Oh and curveballs suck I hate that they added them to the game.

Part of me is like "Now, NOW you let us deposit our rucksacks in outposts!" But I can see how this would let you turbo charge looting. Clear a whole neighborhood easily.
I'd love to see lots of new content come to SOD2 before 3 comes out. Otherwise they should allow an in game mod menu like Fallout
1.) More guns like actual LMG's such as the M249, M240B, PKM, MG36 etc. I'd also love to see the Aug A3, FN P90, FN Five Seven, Colt AR57, ACR, FN F2000, HK MP7, and many more. Most these guns could be found in US
2.) More vehicles like Motorcycles, Bicycles, Dirt Bikes, Quads, Golf Carts, Electric Car, Fire Truck, Semi Truck, Bus, and maybe a Tank lol
3.) More maps of course but also new buldings/textures. The houses feel so recycled. I wish the game had a list of house designs, furniture, trim etc that was randomized each playthrough making old maps feel fresh
4.) Horse's and a lasso to drag zombies around like RD Undead Nightmare lol
5.) Slightly increase the blood & gore, feels pretty cheesy. At least better blood textures nonetheless
6.) Variable weather effects (I see this being challenging, get modders to help)
To end this we can only expect so much from SOD2 but I hope to see SOD3 to feel as detailed as RDR2. Imagine if 3 had destructible environments like Battlefield, Car selection like GTA, Car Physics like Wreckfest or Beam NG, Gunsmith system similar to RDR2 or MW3, Upgradable Character Perks & Extensive Settlement building like Fallout 4, and last but not least a real catchy story with multiple playstyles and endings, but also full of side missions like RDR2

Looks like the devs were actually focusing on making the game better instead of putting more effort into removing flavor text that certain people bitched about.
can someone smarter then me please help me on my xbox series x . For the last 2 days i cannot load my game for more then 8-10 seconds before it freezes and never un freezes. I tried restarting / shutting down / shutting down and unplugging / deleting larger games i dont play to free up space. But none of that has worked . Its a newer tv and xbox series x so i dont think its a video setting problem since i played for many hours without issue . Is this an update issue? Either way pleaseeeeee someone help my dumb ass
Probably won't get this, but gender-tied outfits are kind of annoying. I dunno if the new studio ever plans on remodeling existing outfits for the opposite sex, but it'd be nice to see. Never noticed that half of the animal hoodies are also tied exclusively to one bodyshape/gender.
I so wish they bring in modular vests and more tactical gear that you can modify and it actually make an impact in game. Like having mags on a vest instead of “pockets” in the back pack. Like keep the weight but free up the pockets from putting just ammo in them

I'm just waiting for them to make co-op more desirable. Being a guest in someone's game isn't very enjoyable. You're pretty much there to help kill zombies and nothing else.
I'm getting glitches though after the "take all" where I can't take anything, even single items
Love to see the quality of life changes. I would have rather had another map or game mode but I'll take what I can get. I haven't enjoyed the curveballs all that much though.
Please fix the coop and give us actual coop, please give us the option to create a character if we want, please give us more (better) clothing and give us the option to mix and match more, please add more than just 3 people at other camps, please fix the gun damage model when fighting against humans etc
Very good update but they didn't change the "Rust Red Garage" in Trumbull Valley. That probably only annoys me though.

Been a while since a played state of decay 2 so i thought lets come back to it. Then i see purple zombies and they explode when you shoot them. Wtf is this shit?? We should be able to turn that off in the settings some people want realisme when they play
I don't get the hardcore fanbase thing, simple solution for not liking the locker depot, don't use it? It's such an easy fix that doesn't affect everyone
pre nerf the black heart was so friggin challenging but enjoyed this game had something challenging once you master lethal there was nothing to it but that black heart wasd something very very challenging

They should allow you to do raids on others it gets you a lot of items but it would massively lower your reputation for everyone on the map so it’s something that is extremely costly but it would pay off in the short term
All I want is a sharpening set to in the graphics menu and the white hazyness removed from the maps

Atm, they are using SOD2 for beta testing to how the feature is received. So they can add it to SOD3.

I would have said no a year ago but anything I feel is possible when you have a whole different dev team working on this game. With that I don’t think it’s likely but I won’t rule anything out because of the factor I just mentioned

I just don't want it to be too easy. I kinda like the feeling of being extremely carefully. like the movie, The Walking Dead? Where things when it comes to looting and everything like that. You gotta be extremely careful just in case the infected attack . Just don't want to see the game.Get easier and easier to play. It'll begin to feel too unrealistic then.
