If you haven't already Googled it, the coolant light will always be blue until it's up to temperature, off during normal operating temp, and red if over temp. Basically, the light is the gauge.
The blue water indicator is on when the coolant temperature is below 30-40 degres Celsius, afterwards it goes of and if it gets too hot it lights up red.
I had golf 3 1.9 diesel , bought it with 196k and scraped car with 290k on odo, after many repairs and at end high pressure fuel pump failed and decided to don't put money any more into car.
@@spottedeuros1529 I did almost 100k in 30 months and replaced clutch, glow plugs, and regular maintenance . Fuel pump screwed me up at end. Was close to 300k to make
I love my 2012 Touareg TDI. i have the sport model with NAV and tow package, no real luxuries but i like it that way. i get about 28ish mpg and have no problems at 90k.

Thanks! Looked it up after I got the car home. Wish it had a temp gauge. Feels like I am living in the unknown.

100K miles is a lot of use out of an older car.

I'd love a 2012 or 2011+ Touareg. I don't have any experience with them myself. My Touareg is a 2009. It's about to hit 200,000 miles.
