You achieve such amazing detail, your fine brush technique is a wonderful change of pace from other videos (by less accomplished painters).

How do you resist the urge to paint each feather with impossibly fine details yet still achieve such perfect realism? I suppose it's a matter of confidence and skill, but I would personally find a realistic bird to be overwhelming with the desire of trying to define unnecessary details.
My realistic style is not about capturing every detail. It'sa bout allowing the observer to fill in the blanks - have a look here www.naturestudio.com/realistic-painting-tips/
nice
Hi I have a lot of trouble layering feathers especially is the feathers are the same color. They look like one single block. How can i improve? Any specific technique? I was trying to make a sun conure. All feathers are yellow with few highlights of green.
The key with layering is to use transparent paint (professional quality), and to water it down LOADS so that you can use several layers whilst maintaining control of the tones/values.
@@NatureStudioTV thanks I'll try that
what brushes are you using?
Your paintings are awesome. Would you lease provide a free traceable sketch for each tutorial?

Personally I have problem with imagine it and I can't afford why do you do things this way, why put paint here not there, why are you using this shade... I need a picture to compare :P
