Along with all the folks who said this already, your painting is just gorgeous, and inspiring. But I'd also like to add that your voice is very soothing, and you speak so clearly, with no ums nor errrs. A very refreshing change. I will be checking out more of your videos.
Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautful watercolor paintings I have ever seen. You changed my mind. I have never really liked watercolor until I saw your work. I bought oils and I quickly realized they aren't for me.. I am going to try watercolor now. I have never liked that translucent wishy-washy look, but now I can see how those blooms can work in your factor. Thank you!
Thank you Jo! And also for helping me get through my little “meltdown” last week 😂 I quietly re-released the 1st chapter this morning here on RUclips and will keep it up for a few weeks - the algorithm is ignoring it completely so that’s all good 😊💗💗💗
I love this just as it is. I agree that an insect might detract from the beauty of the bird, lemons and gorgeous foliage. BTW, I really really like the addition of the turquoise in the greenery. There is always a lovely, unexpected surprise in your color choices!! I will be watching the full length tutorial on Patreon. Blessings sweet lady!
Thank you so much - especially letting me know how you felt about the turquoise . Sometimes I add new colors last minute and I am not sure but here it seems to have worked 💗😊
Thank you!!! 😊 turquoise was a last minute decision (and I sometimes regret those because go too wild with too many hues hehe ) but this time it seems to have made everything better - I think it would be too boring without it 🍋💙 have a wonderful day and thank you for your support!
Personally I think a bee would be perfect to balance the empty white space above the beak. Also I think the yellow of the bee would compliment the existing colour palette and unlike a butterfly which I think would take the focus away as it would be too large. The bee would be petite enough to serve the purpose without being too distracting. Whatever you do it's always beautiful anyway, I absolutely love your style and use of colour, it's magnificent. Thank you for sharing your stunning work with us ❤️ 😊.
Wow this was so insightful, I was always so impatient with watercolour in the past but now I'd love to give these techniques a go. This is a wonderful and inspiring video thank you 😊
Aha it is back! I foolishly did not finish watching it the first time you “accidentally “ posted it and when I went back to finish it was gone… but it did make we want to sign up for some weeks of patreon! 😂 I love how you glaze and get so much depth and then brighten at the end for balance. This statement really hit home for me. Thank you! I am not sure how another creature added would benefit… I like this the way it is, but I liked one viewer’s suggestion of a lady bug. Tiny little pop of red would be fun.
Thank you Alison and I am sorry for the confusion - I will have to explain it in a separate post but I basically had to take the video down because I published the wrong file and then left for March break with kids (and without my laptop 🫠) I couldn’t fix it while away but now it’s all good 😊💗
Love this painting Anna it’s beautiful. Just this morning I started a lesson of yours on Skillshare, the leaves using negative painting technique. I’m really enjoying it you’re such a good teacher. I would love to follow you in painting a bee but I feel it might steal the show of your beautiful bird. Thank you for the video, always inspiring.
I just bought some cold pressed paper with pretty heavy texture. I might try this tutorial on it. You just made me itch to paint ❤❤❤ ps I really appreciate that you brought back the 1 hr long version on youtube.
Thank you 💗 yes! I made a mistake initially by mixing up the files for upload 🫣 but brought it back since so many people started watching before I realized an error - I will post about it tomorrow 😊 thank you for your support! Ps: heavy cold pressed is my jam 👌🥰 enjoy!
Never have I seen a painting video that made me want to follow on patreon as fast as this one! When my budget allows I will keep you at the top of my list. Edited to add: I would love to see you paint a bee but I don’t think this painting needs it. ❤
Thank you so much Nicole! 💗 I really appreciate your comment because I take my time with my videos and reinvest a large portion of whatever I make online into better gear and video editing classes for myself - my goal is to be able to provide the most fun, inspiring visually captivating and accessible art education 😊 reading your feedback really made my day! ☀️💛🍋
Sweet. Learned much. Insect? I think it is perfect. Insect might lead eye off the page and I’d never notice the lemon buds or get to project what the bird is thinking. My eye is captured going round and round noticing more and more beautiful details. I like the late addition blue.
She’s beautiful! The turquoise was a perfect addition and I don’t think it needed anything else. Thank you for the tutorial! It was very understandable and concise. ❤
Anna, your work is absolutely stunning! I feel like I need a lot of work in order to even attempt following a tutorial. I’m not sure how to judge things or see if the composition makes sense or the values makes sense, so I’m pretty lost. But I absolutely adore your work. It is beautiful! if you add a bee or a butterfly, it’ll be that much more stunning.❤
Beautiful painting and great tips Anna. Light brings to life a watercolor and I love how you explain cast shadow and attached shadow differences. Thanks for sharing.
I just stumbled into your channel. Thank you for sharing. I picked up more fresh ideas in about 15 minutes of watching you, than I have in years of observation elsewhere. 3 vidros in and you are in my top 3 Artist channels. Thank you sincerely.
It's absolutely beautiful! The turquoise was an excellent choice😊 it gave it a little burst! Thank you also add I did learn something new😊 the water bursts!!! I've painted with oils prior to watercolors and got some reason I'm really loving watercolors. Maybe it's part the little girl in me that liked to play with water😊 thank you for a new technique to try❤
I like the idea of the bloom..I like that it is unpredictable but your work is beautiful ❣️I hope to do watercolor soon and will be thinking of your tutorial 🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽
This is very, very beautiful. I wouldn’t change a thing or add anything else. It might take away from the bird and the way she shines its magnificent..
Stunning painting Anna and thank you for the tips! I love the colors and I'd like to see either the butterfly or bumble bee added. The bumble bee's colors match perfectly with the painting but the butterfly would let you get creative with colors if you so desire!? :)
Thank you Charlie! 💗😊 I read through the comments tonight and I am leaning towards just leaving the bird looking up - but I do also want to paint an insect so will incorporate it into the next painting from the beginning 😊 maybe another dragonfly 💗 have a wonderful week ahead!
Wonderful video! Your voice is so soothing and instruction so clear it's like watercolor meditation. Your piece is beautiful, I would not add a bee or butterfly. Such a lovely bird!
Your talent is really appreciable ....your effort deserves more than a mere comment...please help us to learn more unknown techniques of painting like this. Waiting for your extraordinary art works to be uploaded in this channel.
This is beautiful! I would not add a bee or butterfly. It would be too much. Right now it’s perfect.
Thank you 💛🍋 I’ll leave it as is 😊
Agree, keep the bird as the focus!
The turquoise is exactly what the painting needed. Like everyone else has said it’s stunning! No need for a bee or butterfly 👍🏼
Along with all the folks who said this already, your painting is just gorgeous, and inspiring. But I'd also like to add that your voice is very soothing, and you speak so clearly, with no ums nor errrs. A very refreshing change. I will be checking out more of your videos.
Thank you so much! 💗 I spend more time writing and editing than painting for this channel and my classes and your feedback means a great deal 😊✨

because when we first used water colors we were dumb ass kids hahaha. I feel you. Lately i was playing with the thought of buying water colors
This is stunning! The colors are so pretty together and the overall composition is delightful as is.
Thank you 😊💗
I love this painting as is. Bird is the focal point and there is plenty of textures and details to look at as it stands.
my son is a fan of your painting and we both regularly learn from this ....thanx for such beautiful sharing
I love it so much!!! Yellow/green vs perylene violet is such an interesting contrast. And turquoise gave an amazing wow factor. Great painting Anna!!!
Thank you Jo! And also for helping me get through my little “meltdown” last week 😂 I quietly re-released the 1st chapter this morning here on RUclips and will keep it up for a few weeks - the algorithm is ignoring it completely so that’s all good 😊💗💗💗
Absolutely beautiful!!! this painting needs nothing more. It's perfect as it is. The colors are wonderful.
Thank you Melinda 💗😊
How did you make the sketch I want to make it but I don't now how you did the sketch .
I love this just as it is. I agree that an insect might detract from the beauty of the bird, lemons and gorgeous foliage. BTW, I really really like the addition of the turquoise in the greenery. Yes, add an insect! You always combine elements in a beautiful way.
I love the added turquoise! It's gorgeous!! Thank you for your wisdom!!!
Thank you!!! 😊 turquoise was a last minute decision (and I sometimes regret those because go too wild with too many hues hehe ) but this time it seems to have made everything better - I think it would be too boring without it 🍋💙 have a wonderful day and thank you for your support!
I understand the desire for the birds and bees. It would be fun to create new paintings, gallery wall. True love for always.
Personally I think a bee would be perfect to balance the empty white space above the beak. This is seriously SO beautiful! What a talent.. my favorite watercolor tutorial to date. 🥰🥰

The painting is beautiful as you have it. I love the use of colors. No bugs. It is best as it is now.
This is awesome and beautiful! I’m going to try these techniques in my next painting!

Gorgeous painting! Thanks for sharing your techniques.
It is absolutely gorgeous and I feel like a bee would be the perfect way to get more interest and to move the eye 🐝
Thank you 🧡
Perfect! Just! Nothing to add is needed.
What a gorgeous painting. I love water colour but it's a tricky medium. I subscribed to pick up what I can. Thank you.
Sweet. Learned much. Insect? I think it is perfect. Insect might lead eye off the page and I’d never notice the lemon buds or get to project what the bird is thinking. My eye is captured going round and round noticing more and more beautiful details. I like the late addition blue.
Thank you Jan! I am reading the comments and yes… I think it’s ok without the insect 😊 On to the next painting! 💗
WOW YOU LITERALLY ARE THE BEST TEACHER AT THIS EVER
The turquoise at the end is brilliant!
Thank you 😊💙
She’s beautiful! The turquoise was a perfect addition and I don’t think it needed anything else. Thank you for the tutorial! It was very understandable and concise. ❤

Madam, It was on my list. watched today. Very useful. Thanks for sharing.

Learning a lot! Thanks so much 😅
Stunning painting Anna and thank you for the tips! I love the colors and I'd like to see either the butterfly or bumble bee added. The bumble bee's colors match perfectly with the painting but the butterfly would let you get creative with colors if you so desire!? :)

Dragonflies are so stunning, with that incredible neon green they reflect, but I rather like your gorgeous painting as is, Anna!
Wonderful video! Your voice is so soothing and instruction so clear it's like watercolor meditation. Your piece is beautiful, I would not add a bee or butterfly. Such a lovely bird!
Thank you for Your feedback Sandra! I am super conscious about my voice as English is not my first language - I really appreciate it :)

💕😊
You & your glove inspired me to create a project, I'll keep you posted once I finish it I'd love to send you one
A bee or butterfly would be distracting from the bird and leaves I think.... Enough beauty and detail already !
Beautiful work, thank you. Can’t wait to take some courses to learn as I’m self taught. Grateful for these amazing opportunities. Thank you
ชอบภาพนกกับธรรมชาติครับ...วาดเก่งมาก
