The Galaxy AI event just went down and here’s every important you need to know about this event. So Samsung announced the new Galaxy S24 series, but even before that announcement they just talked about the new era of mobile AI and how Samsung is redefining or changing that with Galaxy AI.
So what is Galaxy AI anyways? According to Samsung, Galaxy AI is a comprehensive on-device and on the cloud experience that will enhance your life. That’s it. Another rather big news, which is actually great news was that starting from the S24 series Samsung will support the new devices for 7 years. And that’s 7 years of both operating system and security updates.
One of the hallmarks of the Galaxy AI, is the real time voice translations during calls. With this feature you get both verbal and on-screen translations while on a call. And they support 13 languages at launch. Needless to say, you’re gonna have to use the native call app to be able to use this feature.
But you can use the live translation feature in-person as well. This means you can speak in your native language and get a verbal and on-screen translation for the other person to understand you and listen to the other person and get translations of what they say to you.
Samsung has been collaborating with Google to bring some of these AI features. One interesting new feature that’s gonna be available on all the S24 phones is the “Circle to Search” feature. This feature allows to circle or scribble text or images and quickly search for what you’re looking for.
But perhaps the highlight of the event was the announcement of the Galaxy Ring. While they didn’t mention any release dates, it’s a really exciting news and I’m looking forward to trying it on one day.
