My hair hates coconut oil I hope more hair products will not include it I think the safest oil to go with is olive oil

My hair doesn't like coconut oil either, but it absolutely loves pomegranate oil, boabab oil, and jojoba oil. I find my hair likes lighter oils and not heavy oils, otherwise it gets extremely dry when I use coconut oil, or black castor oil. I read a tip online, if you have low porosity hair, it's best to use light carrier oils, and avoid the heavy ones, and it works. Give it a try.

When you wear wigs and want to protect your edges, wear a wigi grip. It will protect your edges and leave no room for you need to use the built-combs within wigs. You can find them in a well-stocked beauty supply store or amazon. My edges are extremely thick and have taken off after using wigi grip and i always wear wigs

AlexisKimberlyy I want a different look. I’ve done wigs and weaves and braids but I’m ready for a change. I have a pretty good method for keeping my 4c hair moisturized. Using better quality products helped reduce a lot of my breakage, the front is just growing slowly. One I get that part to a length I want I will do a healthy cut/shape and then relax it. My goal would be to get it straight and still keep a lot of texture and volume. I live in a very humid climate (Miami) and a texlax might not work for me.

Joseph Rose Marsha Oh no! How long did you leave the relaxer on? Did you do a protein treatment? If you haven’t done one yet you may want to consider using Aphogee’s product line or Olaplex to restore the protein in your hair. Balance that with regular deep conditioning and make sure those ends are in good shape. You don’t want any breakage to work its way up the hair shaft.
