It should, line level should be the same no matter how many watts is attenuated, there is some funny design flaw for some reason, the power amp should't know how many watts has been thrown in.
Sorry, but you clearly don't understand how a voltage divider works. To get a small level from a large level requires a voltage divider. A voltage divider does exactly what it says: it "divides" the source voltage based on the divider formula. A 20V signal from your amp, yields a 2V signal at the output of the divider, 10V in = 1V out etc. The rear panel level control further reduces the signal out from there. So, the output level is absolutely dependent on the amplitude of incoming signal voltage.

No, they are actually not really "connected" to the amp... the amp gets taken down to a line level and that gets fed to the tubes for amplification. Those tubes don't affect the amp's sound.

The Power Station IS the loadbox, however, if you want to use the power station as the power amp and grab the power amp‘s sound, you will need another loadbox behind it to record with. You can use it with a Syn 2 and you don’t have to use a cab. The Power Station IS the loadbox, however, if you want to use the power station as the power amp and grab the power amp‘s sound, you will need another loadbox behind it to record with. Or if you just want to record you Syn2, go direct into you interface and use Torpedo Wall of Sound, which has a power amp simulator.
@@EytschPi42 sick thanks man might do the wall of sound approach
But the effetcs send return in Fryette, go out to DI ? Or only cabinef?
Cabinet
@@EytschPi42 oohhh. just cabinets...oh no. would have been perfect in DI as well
Henning, do you have your PS100 going into something else so you can play through monitors?
It’s going into the tone asking Cab and I have the OX running in parallel to go into monitors
@@EytschPi42 when you say running in parallel do you have it going from your Line Out of the Powerstation into the “To Speaker” of the OX?
no, I run both of them out of my Ampete Switcher. OR you could run it into the OX and then un-attenuated out of the OX into the Power Station
@@EytschPi42 Brilliant. I hadnt thought about having a separate line from my KHE to the OX but yea. Henning, I could kiss your beautiful bald German head.
@@EytschPi42 Henning, trying to figure out how you have a separate line from the Ampete to your OX and monitors. Which input on the OX are you plugging into from the ampete switcher?
where can i watch the video of the 100 watt version paired with a helix? i cant seem to find it. thanks
Should be on my channel
@0:11 I usually have to pay extra for that service.
Will this help my kemper feel closer to the authentic amp?
Yes it will, but in the end only the real amp will feel like the real amp.

So it's better ; )
I think this would make much more sense if it was stereo
what are you using to switch heads into the freyette?
Ampete Amp Switcher
Is there any point to have a fryette with an amp that has a master volume?
absolutely... that mastervolume amp still sounds better when the power amp is at the right volume and that volume is very likely WAY too loud.
@@EytschPi42 Awesome! I appreciate the response.
With 46 you are not old, you are 'experienced'. I can say that. I am even more experienced than you are!
mate, if you don't want that Hamstead I'll look after it for your.
Hey hey hey.
If i win the Lottery ill buy one LOL
Hey Henning Pauly / Esych I'm hoping you or any fryette PS2 users can help me with my PS2 please read bellow ..
:
For the 1st week, it worked fine, then something hit the brakes in the inside" as it works perfectly for anything 25 watts and under however thats not what this unit is solely intended for.. sadly my two - 50 watt non master volume amps like my marshall plexi 1987x still stay clean" When I turn the volume knob on the face of the fryette
( all the way from left, off, then clockwise to increase volume )
nothing happens just stays loud / clean until around 5 everything starts rattling, no attenuation at room levels " happens. The amp isn't useable at room volumes like it promises
:
it's as if the attenuator is being completely passed through and turning the volume knob on the face is no different than turning the volume 1 volume 2 on the plexi amp.
:
Turning it up makes the volume louder but no tube breakup at quiet levels" happens it's as if the unit isn't there just sounds like loud clean headroom volume with NO attenuator plugged in at all.
:
( note when I say volume at 4 or 5 i mean with the dial all the way down , left " or 0 position and then gradually moving it up to the right" on the face of the fryette unit would make it like 1, 2 , 3 etc.)
:
Is there a way to even fix this?
Works fine for 20 or 25 watts it seems - the exact kind of amps I have which don't need an
:
If this ends up being too tedious / costly to fix id like know if its possible for me to send in this unit and get a new one? I'd probably have to pay shipping fees but at this point I'm worried I have a dud
:
Lmk your thoughts when you can, really crushed that it's acting like this fryette customer service support hasn't been too helpful.
Thanks
if I understand your post correctly, you are not understanding what the Power Station does.
You turn up your amp to drive and distort and then you don’t turn up the power station too loud and you will have bedroom levels.
Please get in touch with Fryette to find out how to do it properly!
@@EytschPi42 i don't get it - this should take my plexi 50 watt, cranked everything on 10 down to bedroom/ practice levels" if need be something that is impossible with no attenuation - we agree so far yes ?
There would be no way to get power amp distortion from the plexi 1987 otherwise, either no attenuator plugged in , just with volumes on 1" the thing is very cloud and very clean"
This unit and many RUclips videos show guys with the PS2 and Ps100 with 50 - 100 watt heads squashing them down to reasonable levels? And mine just isn't doing that at all it is just like I'm turning everything up on the amp volume with 0 fryette Unit even with everything plugged in correctly ( i triple checked everything multiple times already )
Once I turn the marshalls volume to 5 on loudness 1 and 2 the fryette is rattling and vibrating the whole time throughout so I clearly cannot go past that point if I wanted to and when I try to the amp does not distort the fryette almost hits the breaks right there and still stays in its loud boomy clean"
English is not my first language easier so if I've confused you more I apologize- I can send you the same video I sent fryette who was not very helpful so far ) to better understand my problem - unfortunately if they don't tell me what to tell to a luthier / amp tech to fix this or allow me to return it or send me a new unit then I will just post the video on RUclips and wait to see if anyone else has experienced this problem

Just a huge let down waiting months to get one here in Canada and then this all happening when I finally get it ..
