You want to have a good hold so you can safely retreat after and you need your teammates to be aware of what youre doing, otherwise, if your medic dies after using the first kritz, then the plan fails. When to use the strat would mostly be when the teams are on a stalemate and equal hold.
Pressure. Tons and tons of pressure, that means spam, spy stabs, sniper picks, traps. Making sure that the enemy team has to travel a good distance before their kritzkreig is useful. Better yet, kill the kritzkreig medic or patient for buying more time.
