Tony McPhee used to hang around Streatham with Steve Rye (harmonica) and occasionally come around to our house before 'hitting the town'. Steve Rye lived a few houses up from me in Amesbury Avenue, Streatham Hill. Along with other musicians like Gerry Sheppard. They formed a band with my brother Steve called 'Dwarf'. Gerry went on with the Glitter Band. we lived about 150 yards from the Locarno. Great times to grow up in Sarf London.
40 yrs for me as well, just as good second time around. Saw them one sunday afternoon in a club just off Charing Cross road. everybody though Tony was going to take over from Taylor in the Stones. Good taste maclekstudio
Saw them Portsmouth, tony playing guitar from back room sound coming out of speakers then he appeared oh was the first time ever I'd seen a transmitter on a guitar, then he walked into the audience still playing brilliant think it was 1973
Yes I know about the stroke - very sad. But I think he's playing some gigs now - Eric and Alan are certainly gigging under the name Eygpt UK - it was Alan who told me Tony was back out there.

Oh yes, superb. Despite being a Hogs fan for 39 years (got Split aged 12) I've never heard this before.
Bought this Lp in 1970 from a Bargain Bin for 28 Cents. Still have it and play it. Great Stuff and holds up well.
Saw them regular in Glasgow nearly 50 years ago.
Oot ma face.
They were brilliant.
I saw them at The Corn Exchange in Cambridge England. They backed up Hawkwind. What a show! I was 16 at the time (1973).
Saw them at CONCERT 10 at Pocono Raceway, 1972...They blew everyone away!!

It's all very wery well for Mc twee to be wanki'n with his do da but I'm thinkin Pustlenik is a very important player in the sound.

Just looking at TS's eyes here... is it a vicar or a vampire?
Kevés ehhez fogható blues van...
Let's be honest though, no-one remembers the crap bands do they?
I think there's some Syd Barrett influence in some of the solos and styling here.
Alas, how right you are
