The Hidden Explanation for Noah's Rebirth - Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed Lore Analysis

- While it seems to be the biggest unanswered mystery in the game, all elements of Future Connected seem to point towards the same conclusion. Revealing that the answer is hidden in plain sight. So here is a quick lore analysis.

As for how Mio returns. One could make the argument that while Noah represents Moebius, Mio represents Ouroboros.
Hence Na'el and Alpha are extremist Ouroboros, while Z and N are extremist Moebius. Both two ends of the same horseshoe.
So while N's memory is in the sword, Mio's might be in the fists since Gondhor, Matthew and Na'el are the embodiment of her hope for the future, while Noah traded thm for the Endless Now. At least that's my guess. So I would say Mio's memory is stored in the Fists.
Noah and Mio could be "avatars" of Keves/Agnus desire for a fused world, the harmonious interlink between Moebius and Ouroboros.
Alpha is an avatar of pure Ouroboros and Mio's descendant is a vessel for it
Z is an avatar of pure Moebius and Noah destroys his descendant to become a vessel for it
But that's just my guess.
If that’s the case, then that would explain why at the end of FR, both Alrest and Bionis fused into a single world, as Origin reacts to Noah and Mio’s and the rest of the XC3 crews’, the Queens’ and the City people’s hope to reunite
It's shadow work, it's the struggle to integrate the shadow self to the conscious self. Love the Carl Jung concepts in this series.
When anybody mentions shadow work, I always think of Tyler Durden from Fight Club.
I'm pretty sure the final Ouroboros strike from Matthew restores the humanity within Alpha, sort of restoring Alvis. Ouroboros was created from merging the Fists of the End (Pneuma), with the Sword of the End (Logos), so in that moment of impact, the Trinity Processor should have been restored. It also explains why Alpha takes defeat so gracefully, asking in genuine concern if Matthew is certain about his decision, and seems satisfied at his answer. Also the last thing Alpha sees before fading is Matthew walking towards the people of Bionis, Alrest, and Aionios united, fulfilling Alvis's prophecy all those years ago.
Also, I think there is a chance we might see Ontos again in the future since he might have simply disappeared into the future with the people of the City like he said he would. At this point the Trinity processor cores might as well be indestructible, so Alvis might manifest again the future.
So it ends at a somewhat happy note but a thousand years later Z still fucks things up for the main party of XC3 lol
@@haisex3 Z is another part of Ontos harnessed from Ontos' data of Logos (complicated theory I know) but since Z isn't destroyed until a whole milenia down the line, the Ontos core's still present in Origin, keeping it going. But after Z was annihilated by the party Orgin restarted and (supposedly) made a new itteration of the Ontos Trinity core and united it with the sword of the end Logos, and Ouroboros Pneuma, thus remerging the worlds. So in a way, the new world runs on the trinity processor. Of course this is just a theory and I could very well be wrong, but it's what I believe at least.
Remember that A is still alive, and she is another part of Ontos.
@@Aa-dc2xu Correct but A’s not really there acting as the avatar at the time since Origin got rebooted, she along with all the other souls in Aionios except our party and Monica and Ghondor got returned to their original worlds or whatever happened I’m not really sure. And then Ontos must’ve rebuilt after the fact or something. Again, speculation ofc
@@F89_ Our party is also returned to their respective worlds. The ending scene has young Noah picking up from where the worlds would have clashed along with Eunie, Lanz, and most surprisingly Joran but also hears (seemingly in his head) an offseeing tune implying he has some memory of Aionios's events.
What happens with the City people isn't really addressed or shown since all of them didn't exist prior so we can only guess. I would assume Shulk and Rex get returned to their respective worlds as well regardless of their Avatar status. I would personally guess that Ontos in some form also ends up back in Xenoblade 1 land; whether that's as A or as the original Alvis is also something we can only speculate. I think it's fully possible Ontos reemerges as A just because Ontos was an actual component of Origin so changes to Ontos specifically might be one of the few things that carries over into the reborn worlds (that or Ontos/A/Alvis can choose manifest however they want and A was the last manifestation and just feels like staying that way.)
That’s interesting you viewed Melias’s sword as comprised of the three you mentioned. I viewed the Lucky Seven referring to the 7 party members of Xenoblade 1, who seized the future and wish to pass on that desire to Noah. Shulk, Reyn, Sharla, Dunban, Melia, Riki, and Fiora are the “Lucky Seven”
Yed it is the whole party.
I just wanted to call it the Kinoblade for shits and giggles
@@miiks...5...3...9... ☠️
I don't think Lucky Seven contains Shulk or Melia's souls/memories since both are alive. I think it includes the other 5 and the two Nopon from Future Connected. But should also be noted that it was never specifically mentioned how many character's memories are contained within Origin.
@@Aa-dc2xu It's supposed to the memories of everyone who lived in either world (or at least whoever they could get in there but I'm going to assume they managed to get everyone) so way more than 7. Because of the name the OG party-Melia and Shulk+Kino and Nene would make sense but the 7 may also have nothing to do with who's in the sword afterall and it could be a bunch of different people (heck the Gem man could be part of the sword for all we know).
This is a solid potential explanation. But the way ive always rationalized this question is more straightforward. Mythra wished to cease existence so bad after the war that her core literally made it so. We come to understand that within origin, evedything exists as data encoded into core crystals. Which explains all of the games weirdness at once. People dissolve into ether on death...because theyre functionally blades. People have access to blade weapons at will? Because they're functionally blades. On the topic of memories from past lives? Blades encode data from prior lifetimes. So why wouldn't Noahs regret be so vast that his origin core splits him off as we've seen before with Mythra?
Because Mythra is not ordinary blade, she's a part of the Trinity processor, she's just built different
@@samsonik5885 but you know who else has a trinity processor core? N.
@@superlagbro192 Oh ye fair point. Honestly, I cba with this lore shit anymore, I just wanna play the game and enjoy it even if I can't understand it fully
Interesting thing as well is that at the beginning of 3 when Geurnica decides to trigger oroborous in the party he specifically focuses on Noah's red blade. I guess the truth of the oroborous stone was carried down through all those years.
Question is: why did Noah just have the "Fists of the End"?
Because swords are cool!
the answer, as always, is Riku. he fit Noah's normal Blade into the veiled sword and probably placed the "fists of the end" into it
Original Noah (who became N) was a sword wielder. Our Noah's weapon of choice is also a sword, but he got a little extra oomph thanks to Matthew smashing the Fists of the End into N's sword and releasing all that energy. The fists probably carried on to our Noah, but he manifested the weapon as a sword because that was his weapon of choice
@@yullu65 Im aware of why he has a sword im more asking the way he got the Pneuma core.
@Lava Eater could be related to why Matthew left for such a long time and likely even never returned to the city.
We might never get a solid answer but I'm sure that mixed with Riku later going into Keves territory to where we eventually find him gives us some ideas as to how it eventually reached Noah.
Excellent video only one thing to add, i think it's not just Tyrea, Kino and Riki, i think is everyone that had an impact in Melia's life, the whole party of XC1, the party of FC and of course the different people in her life that we know, and don't know. Because the one thing that Riku says, that stuck with me, it's that they live both on Lucky 7 and the Monado REX+. Kind of confirming that besides having the power of the Trinity processor, the other way to cut flames clocks and have ridiculous powerful weapons, it's through the gathering of powerful wills. Which i think it means that the reason to why story wise Shulk and Rex are so powerful it's because they are being empowered by all of their friends and family that are inside Origin.
yes, I just wanted to make the Kinoblade joke lol
I love how Lucky 7 is pretty much Melia's Monado, and the Ouroborous power was created from Pneuma's core crystal. It really was a joint effort between the powers of XC 1 and 2 to defeat the final threats.
2:52 “The blade, and the memories contained within it,is the vessel that shackles N’s regrets, binding him to the endless now”
That is legit such a great way to say how N’s relation to his own regrets is. It’s also incredible how it aligns with N’s sword being implied to be the Aionios representative of Logos/Malos, which would make the whole thing fit like a glove since Malos also had regrets but couldn’t let go of them unlike Pyra and Mythra.
"Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs." - that is the passage relating to the Logos core on the trinity processor
The sword its NOT logos, if N truly has logos core crystal its in his sheath NOT in the sword he has.
@@FireflyIsSamusAranSister yeah, we have to consider that just like Noah, their actual Blade weapon is the sheath for their respective Lucky Seven type swords that they received independently.
@@Ryodraco yes the Lucky Seven inside of it is made from Origin metal and contains the memories of N, not the presumably Logos related sheath

Absolute kino. Great video!
This is unrelated, but I thought I'd share something I pieces together from a few Takahashi interviews.
In an interview with Hashino, who's working on the Persona series, Takahashi gets asked about the original six episode story that he planned and was outlined in "Perfect works". To that he answers "Takahashi: For as long as I’m alive, I want to release the “answers” someday."
In a message he shared before for Future redeemed he said "I think that everyone who played this title and the additional stories in the Expansion Pass can imagine what lies in the future for Xenoblade."
This obviously points me to the ending of future redeemed, and the very interesting things said on a certain radio, especially that name drop, and that other thing at the very end.
It seems we might actually be getting the perfect works story, that was never properly told before.
You have me lost here. What name drop over the radio?
@@felipemesquita7697 There's a lot of information in the radio.
They mentioned Dmitri Yuriev, which is a reference to a prominent Xenosaga character. There was a mention of the ships living earth, the class of ships was referred to as "Philadelphia class", and the Eldridge from Xenogear was a Philadelphia class ship. There are a few other references in the radio transmission you hear towards the end of the game, those are the two that stick out in my mind. I believe there's a connection/possible connectioon to Xenoblade Chronicles X as well.
tl;dr: The Earth before Klaus pressed the button has references to Xenogears, Xenosaga, Xenoblade Chronicles X, tying them all together.

@@shukuffxi the radio has the symbol from Vector Industries, from Xenosaga (I screamed really loud when I saw it). Another interesting thing that the radio says is about the Exodus Project, from Xenoblade X. They say that the people are leaving earth to live on other planets.
I thought lucky 7 was now called such because it contains the souls of the seven party members from xenoblade, that's why Riku is all "everyone is here" maybe Kino and Tyrea are in Shulk's monado since Riku included it in his vague exposition.
Nah I'd say you're right with the 7 being in Lucky 7 (Reyn, Fiora, Dunban, Sharla, Riki, Kino and Nene), but I'm disagreeing on the second part. What I think Riku refers to with Monado Rex is that every party member in 1 more or less knew how a Monado worked (a sword that bends reality to the wielder's will, but has to be powered up by another entity) and they all had a strong will to face and change the future. The same working process is thus accorded to Lucky 7, being a really sharp blade powered by will power and a processor, processor being Logos in N's sheath and Pneuma in Noah's sheath (which were the fists of Matthew repurposed by Riku)
I cannot BELIEVE some people are saying the story in the DLC was crap. This was GOLD the entire way through.
gold for 12 iq individuals, Alvis became bad because it needed to happen, he went back to his core, because the sotry needed it to happen, only 7 people got to aionios, because it needed to happen that way, N somehow can defeat and break Alpha's core while also fighting Matthew and for some reason doesn't just kill Alpha by himself, his sword of End also very conveniently lose all of it's properties (you know, cutting through everything that isn't itself ?) so that N who defeated Alpha by himself lose to the party, because it needed to happen this way. The fact that Ghondor can free A from Alpha also is what needed to happen so it happened, no matter if it doesn't make any kind of sense.
@@fieldkaiju-Alvis went crazy because the unconscious desires of mankind were flowing through his core without Logos and Pneuma to help shoulder the weight. Explained in the DLC.
-Ontos was never transformed into a blade, makes sense it doesn’t follow Blade rules.
- Did you happen to miss that most of the Liberators were people that didn’t get absorbed by origin like Giorgio’s granddaughter from 1?
-N only damaged the core on Na’el’s chest. Alpha’s form in Origin had no core.
-N didn’t lose to the party, he got stalemated and blasted in the back by Aloha
-Ouroboros is the power of Pneuma, makes sense that the female core could remove the feminine persona from the core that had both.

Neat symbolism, though I'm not sure they truly needed to be put back into the system. Z tells (N)oah that he was fascinated with how Noah could keep being reborn evem after homecoming, and that's before Noah becomes N. So its possible they kept being reborn even after becoming Moebius. Maybe not, but if they can reincarnate past homecoming, I don’t see why being Moebius would stop them
my best guess is that moebius places special value to those who reach homecoming, since they were able to fight enough to not be starved of embers and live for 10 years in the process. with that in mind, would Z let his best gatherers of what keeps the world stuck in one moment in time stay dead? or would he let them live more and gather more embers for him? i would guess the latter
@@radiate5598 honestly I thought of the Homecoming more of a safety measure which became a multipurpose feature.
@@radiate5598 You think N was lying? Also I heard a theory that those who die of a homecoming can't be reborn because Z does not have full control of Origin, on account of only having captured Melia while Nia is in hiding.
I always interpreted homecoming as the soul returning into origin to be safely stored there, thus removing it from the cycle of death and rebirth. I also checked, noah and mio's previous lives never actually ended because of the homecoming untill the one where they gave birth to old man ghondor (in the other flashback they always fully disintegrate into blue particles, including their clothes, which I honestly think could be a mistake because only alpha's death is the same). If I'm correct, then Z, being basically the entity that is controlling Origin could simply access their data stored inside of it, recreate them and then turn them into moebius, but since it would be such a huge contradiction in beliefs or nature or wathever, their souls literally split in 2
@@temporaneo617 It's overtly stated they do get taken out of the cycle when they reach homecoming. I think you're right about Z though. In the flashback where a previous Crys tries to stop a homecoming execution and M intervenes she claims that "Z also wishes it so." She could very well have lied but it's likely true as well and would explain why she's so conveniently there. If Z really isn't bothered by people being removed from the cycle then it might imply he can put people back in whenever he feels like it (and seemingly he IS the one who put everyone there in the first place so what's stopping him from repeating that as much as he wants?)
I don't know, this should have been one of the plot points where the DLC should have been much more clear. It's not like hinting at a sequel with small clues here and there, this is an important element that should have really been explained in detail, especially because the story of these two universes is not going to be continued directly.
After finishing FR I theorized that Noah and Mio's reintroduction in the system had something to do with Pneuma's core who hacked Origin and reintroduced them by using Matthew or Ghondor's genetic data. Queen Nia seemed to know that Noah and Mio would be reborn as soldiers in the future, Rex was absolutely oblivious to the fact the Pneuma was residing in the gauntlet, so maybe this thing was concocted by Nia, Pyra and Mythra somehow? This doesn't seem too farfetched as Ontos was also able to interface with Origin since Z says that as long as Alpha is around he cannot gain full control of it.
While this video is awfully interesting, and made me think about things in a new way, there are several potential issues in this video. The most notable to take into consideration (I think) is what origin metal is capable of. You outline that, "weapons forged from origin metal are imbued with the will and memories of those connected to the weapon's wielder." This is partly true and party false as far as I can tell.
Firstly, there is definitely evidence to show that origin metal can hold the wills of people, such as the line Riku says in FR, or even what Mio says when the party enters Origin. Mio says something to the effect of, "It feels as though Moebius is all around us." However I'm skeptical that it can contain memories for one simple reason. Origin itself, has a large number of large core crystals in it. So why would Origin, which is largely if not entirely composed of origin metal, also need core crystals if origin metal can hold the will and memories of people? It seems to me that origin metal is capable of holding the will of a person, but not their memories. Whereas core crystals are actually capable of holding memories. The symbology behind this seems to be that origin metal can contain a piece (or even the entirety) of a person's soul or will, whereas a core crystal can contain memories/data. Some may say this is false since blades lose their memories, but it's important to remember that they don't actually lose them, they are sent to the world tree where they are processed and evolutionary data is sent back to the core crystal.
More evidence of what I said pertaining to origin metal and the core crystals, is that when Matthew and N's respective weapons clash on prison island a light is sent up to origin, and then origin beams a light down. I suspect this is a "resonance" process of sorts. The origin metal clashes (the two weapons) which is the will that initiates the accessing of memories, similar to how the will of a driver gives a blade their form. This also probably explains, technically, how Origin is capable of essentially restarting humanity. When Origin's two halves came together, it caused a clash of origin metal on origin metal, and both halves of Origin were likely imbued with the will of each world's respective people, which upon clashing would initiate the core crystals inside which contained the memories of people and other data pertaining to biological life (such as monsters) and land masses (explaining how so many land masses in Aionios are reminiscent of those in Xenoblade 1 and 2).
While I loved this video because it pointed out some things in ways I hadn't quite pieced together and made me think, I don't think you're 100% on the mark. But I think you're super close, and I hope this comment complements your video and theories well. There are other things I'd like to address, but this comment is long as is.
That’s an interesting theory and given the nature of N and Noah’s relationship as well as Takahashi’s inspiration from philosophers like Carl Jung, I think the reason is meant to be more abstract and symbolic rather than something concrete-absent of interpretation. I think the storytelling of N and Noah was brilliant.
I think it's more accurate than not. It's not the inspiration from Jung, it's just straight up gnostic doctrine. It's pretty much a 1:1 fit with gnostic metaphysics, which is pretty damn difficult to pull off without it being intentional.
Just as A is only a part of Alpha (Alpha minus lpha)
Noah is much more than N (N plus oah)
Considering Origin was made from Ontos core, you could say that Noah's sword is the reunion of the trinity processor and why he was successful in defeating Z. It had the powers of Ontos, Logos and Pneuma. By extension I guess that means he was also a contact with the conduit. Making Noah the most important character in the trilogy without being related to Shulk or Rex. Which would explain Noah/N and by extension Matthew's resemblance to Fei Fong Wong.
I love your theories to death and your Xenoblade edits are actually KINO! The last minute with the Matthew & N Interlink into the Noah and Mio Interlink with the Live Godsibb cover and everything was awesome
When they announced the DLC i was dissapointed that Noah will not be a main character but technically the 3 Main protagonist we're together at the same time.
Also i love how this dlc explains why N attacked the city and killed his descendants
Honestly makes it all seem like accident and N being just torn to shreds by his constant cycles was like, “idk how I am going to explain this.” I got the idea that he was only there for Alpha which I feel like went against the main story of that scene, but that would also explain why M was like wtf
@@doomy_doomy2225 yes, just like Mythra losing control in order to justify her bad actions, both end up being "it's not their fault" moments, which seem to me like cowardice, N destroying the city is better than Gondhor doing it to try and save the world while having no idea of what he's really doing because he couldn't possibly know.
I had a slightly different reading into this during my playthrough. I took the scene where Alpha attempts to use the lingering regrets of Matthew to convince him to leave as a sort of beta to what would eventually happen with N and M. However, this time around, their regrets were strong enough that they were able to break off from them entirely, possibly in part due to intervention from Shulk/Rex/A
when Alpha tries to absorb Matthew it uses the same sound effect as the Ouroboros stone.
The implication seems to be that Alpha is a true Ouroboros in the same sense that Z is a true Moebius

Pretty good analysis, and wonderful video editing. Love it so much!
I'd love to get your thoughts on this as you appear to be an highly introspective individual. After DLC 4's ending cutscene, (seeing Aionios seperate FROM a different dimension ) shows beyond the shadow of a doubt Aionios was completely a virtual creation of Origin's memory data separate from Alrest and Bionis. Both Bionis and Alrest was frozen in time PRIOR to the intersection (remember 2 planets garden scene in chp 10) and Aionios was generated by Origin (Z) metaphysically creating a space time anomaly stripping the time axiom from real life and Mobeius used reincarnation, life cycle to facilitate this illusory world in this new dimension. When Origin booted up at the end of XC3, the virtual world Aionios slowly separated (Mio and Noah running scene) and coincided with the locations of Bionis and Alrest frozen in time. Time continued. Planets collided at the end of DLC 4. And we saw 1 universe booted up at the end. This is my profound theory regarding XC3 and DLC 4. Z has generated Aionious in this manner using photon communication in between Origin Arks the moment they were visible in the observable universe. He intercepted that photon communication right BEFORE physical collision and created Aionious using Origin's Morphed XC1 and XC2 data. Chp 7 cutscenes show it clearly imo. What do you think about this incredibly nuanced understanding of XC3 and DLC 4 I've heard nobody express this well. My interpretation explains all plot holes other theories need to wave away as 'symbolic expression'. We see Bionis and Alrest frozen in time as 2 separate planets in chp 10 garden scene and from Aionios - a different space time - we are looking at it. The final cutscenes of DLC 4 does a similar thing showing Aionios separate BACK into how things really are in a virtual manner and from a different dimension with waves and frequencies. We also see how planets form more 'solid matter' at its peak before colliding immediately and Origin booting up. What do you think?
Alternate theory: after realizing her dissatisfaction with N’s decision to make them both consuls, M secretly put her and N’s genetic material into the cloning tanks. Either as a means to repent (essentially saying she and N shouldn’t be excluded from the cycle of death by symbolically re-inserting themselves into it), or as some sort of grand scheme concocted by her, the queens, and Riku.
I don't get how N's blade composed from Logos, outside of the purple glow. I was so damn confused why pnuema's core was in Matthew's Blade (in the same way I was so damn confused about multiple blades of the end), but the moment you mention Ghondor I realized, Noah just gave it to him. What is implied is that Noah passes his will for the future onto Ghondor, a will he can't bear to carry both literally and figuratively, and we could also apply that to their blades. IF Ns blade had a connection to any core prior, it would have been Pneuma's. But then theres the catch, the very fact Matthew and Ghondor can have their own blade resonate with a core crystal like that implies that 'being made of origin material' doesn't mean it bears data from the cores at all. Effectively either sword or even the fist or the goddman boat are just conduits for data from Origin or other sources, like the memories of the wielder or the data from a core crystal. Why, because neither Noah or Ns sword has the ability to turn people into ouroboros. To me the major implication here is that the very reason why Pyra and Mythra isn't around is because the Pneuma core is NEEDED to power Ouroboros, its HOW the stones were made, how the original city continued to create lesser ouroboros, and how Matthew does it with his goddamn fist. However, N doesn't have the power to make Moebius either. I understand that Moebius are technically assigned to Logos, because obviously Ontos represents humanity yet to exist and Pnuema represents the Ouroboros... however I don't know if Logos exist in the same way the others do anymore. The people are moebius, and therefore the people are logos. I suppose you could also imply that the power of Moebius is the absense of logos, like antimatter. It was destroyed and while they could technically make a new shell for Logos, ultimately the whole of Origin is one big logic processor made from all living things memories, a similar purpose to Logos but not represented by a distinct avatar until we made one, Z.
All in all this DLC didn't answer... a lot of my most burning questions (though I will admit part of 'answering questions' is me fishing for things I didn't personally like to magically resolve themselves and make me come around on them), however I think one of my most burning questions was where are Pyra, Mythra, and Alvis. Now at the time I had just assumed that everyone else was dead, but I understand now that adults from the old world seem to be avatar (and that just comes back around into still asking where they were) but it makes sense that their processors are essentially running the logic of this world through Origin. Shulk, Rex and A take Alpha's place because if they replace just Ontos with Pneuma then even they'd loose the power to fight Moebius, they are forced to let the true bearer of the sword of the end use Ouroboros to finish the job. Problem solved, thats why these immortal insightful and powerful characters can't help fight Moebius, cause they're pulling Zelda duty. But I don't know, for some reason Noah and Mio always meet before they became Moebius, and Melia/Riku seem pretty damn sure that the swords true bearer will come eventually... in fact even understanding that the swords are just conduits, no different than anything else made from Origin material, I still think its crazy that there are two of them, like they knew they'd need them. I can't even say that A/Alvis foretold every single event because that would imply that Alpha should also know that he was destined to loose and A themself say fate is just a prediction. You could just as easily say that A did it before they sealed away Origin. In general I don't understand why M wasn't involved with this in DLC... like they got N to help despite his unwavering conviction, but not the one that DOESN'T want to be Moebius and has already worked with Nia... why wasn't she there? I just don't find unlocking memories from a blade a sufficient explanation for two character to be re-instituted into the test tube baby war machine, but if both N and M were there I'd buy it better.
AMAZING VIDEO! This was so damn cool and informative, almost like a Luxin video.
Very interesting! This video answered basically my question why Noah and Mio were in the cycle. And how Ouroboros were "perfected" in that last clash with Alpha.
Something I found intriguing about this perfected Ouroboros is why it happened in the DLC and not the base game. I remember people especulating that Noah and co. would interlink into a gigantic Ouroboros at the end, and even P&O, as well as D, kind of alluded to it, calling Ouroboros half ass interlinks.
Why then, this mega interlink only happens in a precuel? It's kind of a big deal so it weirds me out that such an event doesn't repeat itself at the very end of the story. Maybe we'll see more about it in future games?
Loved the editing
Those edits with the live version of Godsibb was totally AWESOME!!
N giving Matthew the Ouroborus Powers is like the very first tiny step of a depressed person trying to change something before falling into Despair again but eventually get rolling the long process of healing.
Nice to know a lot of this went over my head. I guess there’s more explanations in this thing than I thought.
I do have a question though. If the clash between Matthew and N’s Blades during the final boss was where N was unshackled from Moebius and allowed Noah to be reborn, then why did it take hundreds of years for it to happen? I don’t remember anything indicating Noah ended up in the cycle again after N became Moebius. And it doesn’t seem like anything triggered it in particular given Aionios stayed the same since Alpha left and Z took back over.
I like to think that N’s blade, having Logos, and the Ouroboros power, embodying Pneuma, clashing is what awakened A from Alpha, not the Origin metal.
Something I lowkey wish is that logos and pneuma cores were swapped. Like sure the one who wields the endbringer being in the sword of the end makes sense but at the same time noah ends the world and N protected it just like how malos wanted to end the world and pyra/mythra protected it.
The japanese name for it can be read as both "Sword of Origin" and "Sword of the End".
So it's meant to be both but it just doesn't translate, which is why they randomly call it "Sword of Origin" instead that one time.

That said, I do like how the Blue Core ended up integrated into the weapon forged by the queen of the Blue nation (Melia having a hand in the creation of Lucky Seven, which is a twin/was cloned for N’s sword) and the Green one by that of the Green nation (Nia states in story that she was the one to generate Ouroborus stones).
@@flamechar3381 logos is purple and pneuma is green and noah who is keves has the green and and N who is keves too had the purple. No blue core exists currently
@@RedTheWeeb It's not blue core he's kinda forgot that ontos the red one emit blue light light when monado activated.. Blue aura is a sign that Ontos power is used.. well it's make sense because ontos is kinda the based of the origin in the Keves side of the world..
Dude this explains so much thank you I actually have to thank you.
The story left me so confused
So Lucky Seven is the Kinoblade lmao
Love you edit and your explanation, keep it up!
2:12 what about Nene? :(((
Ps: this theory has some really interesting points but even if that would release Noah i dont think it would release Mio too. I think the real reason they come vack is also the simplest one, they didn't get a homecoming ceremony.
I was thinking about this hours ago and then found this video on my feed just now.
Has anyone come up with an actual explanation as to how Malos/ Logos core came back that isn't just "Origin shenanigans"? Like it genuinely is kinda frustrating, considering Malos and his core crystal literally got Thanos snapped into thin air at the end of Xenoblade 2 WAY before Origin ever existed, and not once in Xenoblade 3 do Melia and Nia say that Origin records the data of the worlds from the past as well. The only reason we even see Klaus' world is because Ontos powers Origin, so we see a simulation of Klaus' world from Ontos' memories. There is never an ounce of implication as to how Logos' core suddenly came back.
Is the Logos core in Future Redeemed a physical manifestation of the Xenoblade 2 cast's memories of Malos? Was Malos just a split-off version of the Logos core similar to A / Alvis / Ontos (which wouldn't even make sense because we literally *see* Amalthus take both Pneuma and Logos from the Trinity Processor.)
What are the rules for an Aegis' death then? If they can just come back into existence whenever they feel like, it would COMPLETELY ruin the impact of Pneuma's sacrifice and revival at the end of 2, which I'd like to believe Takahashi is smart enough to not do.
It's so incredibly unexplained, that I've seen people try to come up with the theory that it's NOT the Logos core, but it's actually just a replica of it ala Monado Replica style. This is like the whole "Riku is Alvis" thing all over again. The whole thing is just very messy, and I really wish there was an explanation. I literally would've taken ANY explanation and been fine with it.
An explaination could be that they used the data stored inside pneumas and ontos core to make a new logos core. In xc2 malos had his core half "thanos snapped" and needed pneuma's core to repair It, since It has the necessary data. Since origin Is based on ontos core they surely analysied the data inside about klaus' era tecnology and such, making origin possible. So making a "new" logos isnt that far fetched
@@Unoj151 When I say it was Thanos snapped, I mean it literally completely disintegrated (not cracked like it was for most of the story). You can see it happen just before the camera pans up when Malos dies, there's nothing left on the floor. And yeah, it's definitely not that farfetched, which is why I said I could literally be satisfied with just about any answer they give. The problem that I have is that they simply just choose not to, and now there's a thousand different theories that are all hypothetically correct due to lack of clarification. It's always just a "well they surely *could've* done this" or "maybe they did this other thing" kind of answer, and I'm personally just not a fan of it for a series that's well-known for explaining all the intricacies of how the worlds work. It just feels weird for them to skip past the details of something so astronomically important to the final fight with Alpha
Like even if Takahashi stated in an interview what happened, I'd be satisfied lmao. That being said, I think every big unanswered questions from base game XB3 that got more depth in Future Redeemed were still left ambiguous enough for it all to still make sense and properly fit into place. It's literally just that one... small thing about Malos that i feel really shouldve been clarified better.
@@EccentricSandal oh yeah i know , i was Just saying a possibility , but i agree with you , if that where the case It should have been stated even with only a nod to It, since they could have shown logos core like they did with pneuma's, but deliberaly choose not to. I think thats enough to say that the logos core Is not there. What can we actually read from the scene Is that the gauntlets/ouroboros Power are powered by pneuma , and when Matthew hits N's sword, it amplyfies the ouroboros power to everyone (like in mio side story when her emotions and will get amplyfied by luckyseven, standing in the same pose of n's sword , reaching myabi and the others). So the connection to logos Is only on a simbolic level. The gauntlets (ouroboros) and the sword of the end (Moebius) are the two things that stop alpha, just like how in the Trinity processor, ontos needed logos and pneuma. And the sword of the end parallels logos/malos in a lot of ways, so makes sense to the camera to include a shot of both sword and gauntlets.
Now how did Mio get reintegrated? Was she also released from N’s regrets? Or his regret of forcing her to become mobieus?
One could make the case that while Noah represents Moebius, Mio represents Ouroboros.
Hence Na'el and Alpha are extremist Ouroboros, while Z and N are extremist Moebius. Both two ends of the same horseshoe.
So while N's memory is in the sword, Mio's might be in the fists since Gondhor, Matthew and Na'el are the embodiment of her hope for the future, while Noah traded them for the Now. At least that's my guess. So I would say Mio is stored in the Fists.
@@miiks...5...3...9...Yeah that’s a good notion. Also uhh once again yin Yang symbolism.
@@miiks...5...3...9... this makes sense to me on a different note. Mio's personality is a bit more brazen with Xenoblade 3 having a lot brawns related scenes. While Noahs is a bit more indirect prefers to handle things at a distance. So mio being fists and noah being swords does make sense due to the different nature of fists and swords.
@@miiks...5...3...9... I like that.
Mio is stored in the fists,
M's fist is stored in N's ass
I was thinking A and Noah were similar, but didn't go further than that. This analysis filled in those missing parts that I glossed over.
The conflict of memory and processing power is similar to the prophecy in XC1 in which the war between Bionis and Mechonis is what led to the release of Zanza. Likewise the conflict between Torna and Amalthus led to the awakening of Pneuma. What I find unfortunate is that they did not adequately explain in the story what I suspect was a voice actor conflict of scheduling: there is no explanation for why "they" are no longer here. They could at least have shown Ontos killing them like they did to Logos. It's a plot omission that really irks me.
W Godsibb live performance version
I also think the way Noah has both Lucky 7 aka "Sword of the End" (Logos) and its sheath his original blade is Mathews Ouroboros Knuckles aka "Fists of the End" (Pneuma). It is like the merging of Ouroboros and Moebius. At the end of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Noah and N merged into one being. The culmination of both Ouroboros and Moebius combined
yes, this is further supported by the use of Tai chi / the yin yang symbolism in their eyes when they unite with their mobius selfs.

What is the music playing during this video called?
Logos core crystal was destroyed at the end of XC2, isn't it?
That confuses me too. Maybe some shenanigans like Origin duplicating it from memories happened or something?
Reminder in XC 2, Malos needed Pyra/Mythra to repair his damaged crystal. Basically, it's not difficult if you think of them as computers.
So after the events of future redeemed, do we know if that noah was reborn multiple times? Or just once years later during base xc3?
The return of kino vid.
Perhaps Lucky 7 it’s called that way cause they mentioned it has the essence of every party member of XC1

Did they ever answer the question of who gave N's sword to him? I feel like it was made for him by Riku and Melia, but they didn't expect him to make the wrong choice and contribute to preventing progress, so they decided to try again and gave the second one they made with the real Pneuma core to another Noah.
Yeah, seems like it would have been Melia.
The only way I could see it being explained is if we get a musou Xenoblade warriors spin off exploring that part of the backstory
N's sword is definitely one of the biggest questions and the fact that as Noah he repeatedly kept getting it back across cycles (and even as N) only adds to that further.
I thought the one that N uses was a duplicate that Z created after N became Moebius, but I might be wrong. The original Lucky Seven was left with his son, Ghondor, and that's the one that eventually is used by Noah.
Mathew looks alot like Fei, which in turn is a exact copy of Abel, the one that came into contact with the Zohar.
This also helps explain why M was able to stand against Z for so long without raising suspicions. Moebius thought M and N where shackled by Moebius but since their conscience reside safely as Noah and Mio, M can actually do their damn best to help Ouroboros in their best of her capabilities despite kinda be natured into not stopping the endless now.
outstanding analisis, has anyone figured out how many years FR happens before XC3? I'm curious as hell.
Based Miiks, like always.
Have another question, How N obtains his Lucky Seven/Sword of the End?
I imagine it’s in a similar way to how Na’el ended up with the Ontos core-Logos’ will was drawn to the original Noah for whatever reason to become its avatar in Aionios. Given how his fight is to destroy an irredeemable world (but as a good guy this time) I think it’s a nice match for Malos/Logos.
The answer is actually pretty simple.. Y'know in the end Rex hinted at Sword of the End is a Logos?.. just like how Nael found ontos just suddenly in beach of Aionis .. Logos core or what left of it can be scattered around in the Aionios and crafted them into blades because he just he tought it's just origin metal.. It's also can be said how Vandham family found pneuma crystal and crafted them into fist of the end.
@@willd1790 this will explain also why every Noah had the sword, as whenever a new Noah is born, Logos' Will itself finds a way to reach him
Well I think we can only see it in one cutscene besides the one with the Noah that later turned into N but I believe all Noahs had it nonetheless (?)
2:00 I think lucky seven contains melia's memories of the whole xenoblade 1 party, hence the name
dang I need a textless version of this it's just a nice music video tribute thing
Godsibb ost just for the sake of the name drop in that finale
I did *not* notice Pneuma's core crystal inside the Ouroboros Knuckles until I saw this video! Jeez, they did a good job of hiding it while also making it be *right freaking there!*
Anyway, while this could explain the Noah and Mio we play as in the base game, it doesn't explain how they were able to reincarnate after Homecoming before they became Moebius.
Because the only time they ever reached their homecoming was their last life before becoming Moebius, every previous life ended before reaching their homecoming (killed by Z twice and freezing to death once).
@@bgc1081 Didn't Z want to make them Moebius *because* they were able to defy the system and return after Homecoming?
Quote from Z: "Your two lives, thriving and persisting far beyond Homecoming, surpassing the system of the world." The two lives referring to Noah and Mio respectively.
In fact, I don't think Z even can take someone who reached Homecoming and make them Moebius for the exact same reason they can't come back via cradle, which would mean that Noah and Mio had to have returned via cradle before they could become Moebius.
What's the name of the ost? It's incredible
Hmm does that mean that something similar happened in Dragalia Lost? For example Euden and Mordecai who were confirmed to be part of Xenos, but after Euden created a new world from the power of creation grant to him by the prayers of every human and dragon, he and Mordecai somehow exist even though Xenos does not.
I am still a little curious how all previous incarnations of Noah ended up fated to meet Mio and become Ouroboros before N. Like why were those two always fated to follow that same path?
I guess that's just the fated lovers archetype. I've been digging into the Xenogears / saga lore as of late and the very same, exact idea happens in Xenogears.
If Ouroboros is power related to Pneuma, and Logos is related to Mobius, what would be the match to Ontos's power? It can't be the Fogbeasts, they were around in the world before Ontos was actively meddling, and are implied to have at least originally been unrelated...
Origin itself. It's in the A and Shulk conversation.
What song is this in the video. It rocks
This truly have been the trilogy of Xenoblade wouldn’t you say my boi?
What's the song
But if the Pneuma core crystal was in Matthew's right fist, where was the Logos core crystal? Was it in N's Blade?
In N's sheath, very likely the Pneuma core also ended up in Noah's sheath, through Riku, since it has the same green glow as Matthew's gloves.

Just clarifying something-- in the JP version, when Riku is talking about who is inside Lucky Seven, he refers to one person only ("大切な人が宿っているそうも").

@@user-dy1kg7gr4m They can, but they normally do the normal thing everyone does and add たち or ら in other cases when talking about more than one person.
I think I understand all of this, but I do have one thing I'm hung up on. If the Logos crystal core was destroyed in XC2, how is it still in play for Future Redeemed?
yeah, it really makes no sense.
Personal headcanon, they are using Pyra and Mythra with one of them replacing the role of "Logos".
@@miiks...5...3...9...I've always thought that it's because ontos had the data from logos and pneuma, so it, playing a key role in origin, could be able to recreate him in aionios, and he took the form of N's sword like fiora did with lucky seven

I don't fully understand why everyone is saying N's sword has Logos in it. Sure the hilt is visually purple and having Pneuma and Logos coming together to help stop Alpha makes sense for a grand conclusion.. but it just seems out of left field since the Logos core was destroyed at the end of 2. If any part of Logos still existed I don't understand why it would be crafted into a sword.
Also Pneuma's core is clearly shown, there isn't any doubt there. if Logos was the other piece wouldn't they have done something similar? The emphasis of the scene (plus A and Rex's reaction) seems to just be focused on the Pneuma core. Plus when N stabs the ground the glow is green not purple. Anyone feel free to help me understand. Thx!
Pneuma contains a copy of ontose and logos`s core architecture. it was used in the building of origin logos could have been used as the bases for the sword of the end
In 2 Malos was able to restore himself using data from Pneuma's core crystal, essentially showing that the Aegises can use each other to fill missing gaps in data. They process all cores' data, including each others'.
Kinobased chronicles 3
where did the Logos core come from?
it is a mystery to everyone, and they don't show it either.
You could make an argument that it is not literally logos but rather a representation of the half of duality that logos used to govern.
That is if you view Ouroboros and Moebius as ying and yang
My interpretation of events is that it manifested from origins memories or something along those lines. That, or the core remained intact some how. It's largely left unexplained.

Anybody else some what confused as to why does Mathew have the aegis core? While glimmer clearly has it the whole time? Was I missing something or am I dense?
Glimmer is Pyra's daughter, so her core just looks like it but is not actually the aegis core.
The core on Glimmer is just a recreation from Origin, I believe. It's not the original "Pneuma" core crystal.
Core crystal shape is hereditary, Glimmer has it because she's Pyra's daughter, it's that simple
@@ArceusDX Although this does raise the intriguing possibility that there's a SECOND "Pneuma", perhaps a little different, floating around, and makes me wonder why Glimmer didn't have some innate grasp of the Ouroboros power if Ouroboros is Pnuema's power?
@@miiks...5...3...9... It's still Aegis core but hereditary one and the power mostly highly diluted.. Aegis core now can be everywhere because of the freaking splitting thing and or just hereditary imbedded in their DNA .. Just like how A and Alpha still got the red Ontos Aegis core when they just part of Ontos not the whole.. Technically Glimmer is still a part of Pneuma because she's still Pyra biological daughter and she comes from her.. that's also goes for Mythra and her unknown child.. they are still part of pneuma..
Why did Alpha show up a decade ago? I was expecting an answer, but it was just, “somehow, Ontos returned “
15 years before the start of the DLC the City gained its freedom from Moebius.
Thus the will of Ouroboros became dominant within Ontos, causing Alpha to take shape.
That seems to be the implication.
@@miiks...5...3...9... Dont rex and A also explain that "Alvis" as an individual was influenced by the opinions of Logos and Pneuma? And because they were gone "Alvis" was reverted back to a core crystal. And Subsequently became Alpha when he was used to build origin, Therefore The world became his driver.
So when the predominant wish for the "endless now" became, instead " to leave this worlds and all its baggage behind" like Na'el wanted, "Alpha" Acted on this.
So Matthew, having the Pneuma core, must be Mythra's son!
Matthew--Mythra... So obvious. /s
Those who become Moebius are cut off from the cycle of life and death and cannot be reincarnated after they die. This prequel provides an explanation why Noah and Mio are able to be reincarnated despite their past selves becoming Morbius.
Though I think this is all rather a theory than an explanation. We don't have proper proof for most things.
Who is Riku and why do we see him 1000 years from now? Was he reborn? Reincarnated? He’s still one the biggest mysteries to me.
He says it himself if you check the Lucky Seven in his workshop, I think you can do it after the scene where he shows it at the Black Mountains. He mentions that His masterpon was Melia, and that she traveled with his father and other friends, seemingly making him one of Riki's children. This would mean that the reason he lives for so long is the same as for the other Liberators and the queens.
@@33link333 Riku is probably the child of Kino
@@arminarlelt7471 The phrasing made me think Riki, but either works. The important thing is that he is one of Shulk and Melia's companions, and both would satisfy that.
Like Rex and Shulk, Riku were one the survivors of both worlds that didn’t got registered in Origin’s system and basically got stuck in somekind of time stasis that made him unable to age or dies to natural causes.
Are we even sure that N’s sword of the end is based on the Logos core, because to me it seems to be based off on the Pneuma core based on the green ether around it. And when Rex says they in the subtitles it with an Asterisk which he is probably referring to Pyra and Mythra and not Logos.
The fists have Pneumas core, the sword has Logos Core. Hence the 2 cores come together to take down the third.
@@charles5212 the sword doesn't have logos core, its in his sheath.
@@charles5212 there is no evidence for logos Core, other than the purple color that N’s sword has, it more likely that sword is originally build on the Pneuma Core since Matthew got it from his grandfather, which he got it from his parents, remember that Ghondor had lucky 7 in his possession when Noah dead. So by that logic, both blades are built by the Pneuma core, which create the sword and the fists of the end.
@Shulkash87 What? Ghondor never had the sword, N did. Noah got Lucky 7, which has neither of the cores. It is the sheath of the sword that has Logos. And overall thematically it would make sense. Logos and Pnuema combining powers to take on Ontos. It was Pnuemas core that was passed on to Noah in the form of his callable blade.
@@charles5212 No, in the cutscene with child Ghondor, Noah died, Lucky 7 was left there. You could see it on the ground, while Noah’s motes are flying away. Ghondor inherited this and the core inside, which he would use and give it to Matthew.
Just think as the Sword as Pyra and fist as Mythra, when both of them are together, they gain access to the full power of Pneuma, which what exactly happened. They both synchronized and fused together. There is no Logos to be seen.
