There is no smooth sexy way to jump on a pro plugger without looking like a tool. Even Brad Pitt would look like an industrial grade tool using one. But you pulled it off like a pro.

I used the Proplugger to fill in huge bare spots in my bermuda lawn several years ago. I haven’t needed it for lawn use in some time, but still use it for planting bulbs. Great tool overall

That edge is legit. I’ve contemplated the pro plugger many times, but haven’t pulled the trigger. I tried using an auger bit to plant annuals,but it didn’t work like I had hoped. Maybe next year I’ll try a pro plugger
I think you should pick one up! Get those annuals in the ground faster and easier.
@@ReelLowDad the auger did not even remotely make a hole like I though it would in my soil. Oh well it was fun anyway

New sub here! Do you fill in the bare spots with sand/compost mix? Or just let the bermuda plugs be uneven?
Great video. I feel like the plugs would get stuck in the shaft of the proplugger. Do you ever need to ram an iron rod through to eject them? Surely they don't just slide out like butter.
The shaft is tapered so when you turn it upside down they slide out pretty easily. If moisture content causes any issues, you just tap on the ground when upside down. I had the same concern, but hasn't been.

I dice up sod/turf scraps with a machete on a piece of plywood to get sprigs.
Don't have a machete but just busted out the hatchet and went to town!!

Would the ProPlugger work on St Augustine grass? The Yard Butler is out of stock everywhere
It should work fine. Just a bit smaller plug size.

You think that works up a sweat, try manually aerating a whole lawn.
I did my whole front lawn manually this spring. It was sweaty but not too bad.
I used a pitchfork for a bit and then went an rented an aerator. Best decision ever 👌
