@@MarioMartinez-vl5bk I would say call your local dealership and they will give you a part number because when I bought that 7th injector, dealer ran my vin # and still gave me the wrong part. What I did was take off the 7th injector and brought it along with me and match up at the dealership. 2 Kenworth Dealership is 10 minutes away from my home. Good luck!!!

EP10 part number 1834592PE The cost is $280 ………The one you need for your truck is EP13 part number 1832311PE the cost for this one is $852 out the door, including tax The wire connector for the EP13 is 17 inches long The EP10 is 12.5 inches. Love your videos boss thought this might help other people.

What were the symptoms that you had to change it? My truck stop light comes on for a second and goes off again. And ive noticed my DEF is burning slow.
@@bjtherealest4079 if you do a forced regen and the temperature doesn’t rise above 500 Fahrenheit or 600 Fahrenheit depending on the truck. It means the 7th injector not dosing enough fuel to raise the temperature. Overtime you’ll get a code saying unable to complete regen due to not high enough temp or you regen for over 1 hour and soot level barely moving. Hope you understand this explanation.
@@alfredoramirez6728 I don’t remember diesel coming out. If so it’s not gonna be a lot cuz I believe that injector don’t turn on until your doing a active, passive or forced regen.
Yes if your gonna remove the big bolts on the top and on the bottom those are coolant lines but if your just removing the small bolts on either side then you don’t have to drain coolant.
Good information I did mine yesterday just cleaned it up like you did but didn't drain coolant just plugged the line with bubble wrap and everything good thanks again for the vid
There are 2 of them. OTR Reset which resets code and do force regens $800.00 and OTR Diagnostic Tools which do forced regens, reset codes and show codes. It cost $800.00 plus a yearly membership. I have a OTR Reset tools sitting around.

There is only one fuel injector for the after treatment system which is called the 7th injector. It is right after the turbo on the BPV. There should be 3 items there. The 7th injector, the knock sensor and a differential pressure sensor. Normally you can clean it and replace the gasket or just replace it.
@@tglover9150 yes it’s the same one. I looked up the code you posted and it says “fuel pressure at Doser injector too high.” That sounds like it’s blocked and the ECU sending way too much fuel to it or the injector has failed and it’s not opening to spray fuel in the after treatment system.

@ that thing save me thousands and still counting. I’ve fixed small issues before the big problems that’s what I like about Paccar and the OTR tool. Regen whenever I want, clear derates, live data etc.
@ One time the OTR Tool gave me a code that my turbo actuator was getting bad and limit me to 20 psi. Went to a dealer and order the actuator. They scan the truck and dead set that I need a turbo which they order for $15,000.00. I replace just the actuator and truck running good to this day over 3 years ago. I never trusted dealership after that. That tool will educate you so they don’t abuse what you don’t know and rob you.
@@A.M.E-K-87-10 it’s just 2 gasket, a thermal gasket and metal gasket. 2 bolts and it’s off. Don’t need to drain the coolant unless your replacing and your truck has a lot of hours. Damn try to minimize your idling cuz that’s a killer of motors. Reference to my truck which has 667,431 miles and 13,893 hours.

Yes I did until I went back to the dealership to get the correct injector. The one they sold me at 1st harness was short. I did replace it afterwards thou. It can be mount any direction.
Dentrizzle, I have a 2018 kenworth paccar mx13; my oil pressure Guage reads pass 100 psi...The truck still runs fine, what do you think the problem is...
It’s your oil pressure sensor. It’s on the passenger side under the 2 oil filters on your year and model truck. Only can see it from the underside. Only wire running to those oil filters. Hope it helps.
I was with the same problem with my KW 2019 , BUT, it was missing or leaking AIR, I found a hose hole and fix it. so now I have no problem to change gear because my air pressure is always above 100 psi. take care.
The turbo actuator was bad which caused the truck to not do regen properly which in turn caused excess soot to block up 7th injector/dozer. Also took out my dpf inlet temp sensor, blocked up my doc and dpf filter. But it’s all good now. Appreciate the question.

It was my turbo actuator and DPF inlet temperature sensor. It caused my 7th injector and DPF to block up with soot. Get a scan tool to pull codes to know exactly what is your issue.

@@TheFordRebel if it is clogged you’ll still get a code. I would start with the easiest thing 1st. Clean it and replace the thermal gasket and other gasket. Clear the code and start a regen and see if it does. If it doesn’t then it may be faulty.
Just be mindful of those 2 bolts not to break them. I suggest go for a drive or prepare everything, go for a drive to get the BPV hot so the bolts break loose easier. I appreciate you watching 👍

Parts number varies by truck. It could be the same part but different number. Just call your local dealership, give them your truck and vin # and ask for the part number. Hope this helps.
I have the same truck and engine. I have a coolant leak coming from the bottom screw on that part, but there but no codes. I wonder if I can replace that gasket on top or will I have to buy the whole thing
@@alvinsanders1576 if your gonna clean it your going to need new seal and gasket which you can get at the dealership but it has nothing to do with the coolant. Those 2 big 22mm bolts with washers feed coolant in and out. If the bolts are loose, the washer is missing, more than 1 washer or a broken coolant line, it will leak coolant. I would check those 1st before getting a 7th injector.
I got a code specifically for that issue but I can’t remember being it has been so long. Something in regards to the exhaust temp not getting hot enough during a stationary regen. So it would fail the regen. I hope this helps…
@@burga75 it was the turbo actuator and inlet temperature sensor. I would recommend if your truck throws a CEL check it out because with my situation I waited a while because I had the OTR Reset Tool and kept resetting and eventually that caused some other sensors to kick the bucket 😂😂😂😂
@Trizzle Go-Getta I changed my lower coolant tube, and all my hoses about a year ago. The lower coolant tube was so corroded, it had swelled, and was bigger than the normal size. Well worth it, to go to stainless steel. Keep up the good work!

You could always pinch the coolant lines with vise grips so you don’t have to drain the coolant

$600 per year. If you can afford it and your an OO I would suggest it. That thing saved me thousands of time and been using it since 2020.

I normally drain all of it to ensure I don’t make a mess but you don’t have to.

There’s 2 or 3 codes that I don’t remember. Something to do with regen fail cuz not getting hot enough or something when doing a parked regen.

Bredda what was the problem with the valve
The turbo actuator was bad which caused the truck to not do regen properly which in turn caused excess soot to block up 7th injector/dozer. Also took out my dpf inlet temp sensor, blocked up my doc and dpf filter. But it’s all good now. Appreciate the question.

It said regens weren’t completing because exhaust gas wasn’t hot enough and some code stating the 7th injector had a fault in that regards.

It turned out that there was another issue why the old dozer wasn’t working but I got it fixed. Now I have 2 good Doser in case one breaks.

Put a drain cock (valve) in that coolant tube. Makes it much easier to drain the coolant.
I need to cuz I’ve been fixing coolant leaks left, right and center. Tempted to just replace all the pipes cuz they are rusted under the rubbers 😂😄
