@@dentrizzle, why is the air compressor so difficult to pull? I removed the pin and all 4 bolts. The power steering pump is disconnected. I can wiggle the compressor a tiny bit but not budging more than that.

@ there’s an oil plunger on the side towards the frame that you have to use a M6 bolt to pull it free. Have to use an Allen key to remove the cap so you can access it.

@ I explain it in the video after I took it off cuz I could t record it whilst doing so t based on where it was.

@@dentrizzle, I already did that. Just curious if you had to use a ratchet strap or something to pull the compressor.

Honestly I didn’t torque them at all because they had jam nuts & washers so I tighten until jam washers are even and it was tight caring not to over tighten. There maybe torque spec and I hope someone in the comment section can help you. Sorry 😞

Take off that panel that house your ignition switch and see what’s going inside. It may be twisted up together. Other from that I think you may have some bad relay but to pin point it I would have to have your truck.

@@booshiet If you can reach the bolts holding the lift pump and power steering pump off the air compressor you don’t have to. But I did because it was in the way and I didn’t remove it completed, I just pushed it to the side.

@@trucker_jayycee I like that it helped. Based on what I’m seeing I have to replace them like 15k then 30k when I do a full oil filter, fuel filter and oil change.

They get expensive real quick

@@brundyflorealgeffrard6959 I know they’re very expensive especially the dealers. Not to scare you or anything but I would start to look into if your cooling system is being pressurized by your air compressor. This will save you a lot of unnecessary repairs and headache. I had to replace radiator which blew up, heater core, every coolant hose cuz they all leaked, overflow reservoir which cracked and finally I found the real problem which was my air compressor. I’m just trying to save you some headache. Thank you for watching.

@@DanielGarcia-zz9eg I would try and see if you have the updated module because the new filters are Maintainance free so no messing with it unless the module itself is bad.

I had mine since 300k miles and currently 840k miles. Overall I don’t have a problem with them and mine has been solid as long as you keep up on maintenance which I’ve done for quite some years. Apart from sensors that will fail eventually and a few more components it’s a solid motor IMO. I would definitely get another if I have to. Based on what others say it can get pretty expensive for parts and dealership repairs cost.

@@damienhammond-x8d Get 4x4 blocks and of wood for a little more clearance. That’s what I do for oil change so my drain pan can fit under the oil pan.

@dentrizzle it slowly, and i mean VERY SLOWLY, builds air if i hold rpm around 1500 or above, and I could smell the faint scent of something burning. That burning belt smell with air leaking sound coming from the back of the motor. I'm parked at my companies shop, so hopefully, they can get me in first thing this morning.

I had in mind to make a full PM but it will take a while to record and edit and worried I won’t get a positive feedback cuz I even do a PM on the trailer as well and even as much as check tire pressure and diff/trans fluid. It would be a long video. Tell me if you would be still interested.

@ that part doesn’t bother me like the criticism cuz I’m the type of person that listen so I can improve myself because I will never know everything and all these repairs are my 1st attempts and they’re all trial and error with a little confidence.
