@@HeatableIt would be great showing this solution vs a more traditional string inverter live in action on the same roof etc. Lots of talk, but I don't think I've seen anything on the channel to back it up?
@@stuartburns8657 Hey Stuart, we're coming up to a year this week of testing, so we are going to be doing this kind of review based off this data. Keep an eye out over the next month 🙂
Im lucky enough to be in Saskatchewan. We get a lot of sun in the winter, but there is a week where we only have 3 hours of usable daylight. Bifacial split cells help a lot in the winter.
15:25 what he says is not true. All the panels now have bypass diodes and the string inverters track continuously the mppt of the arrays and therefore if one panel is shaded the rest are still going strong
You can also get panel optimisers which bypass the panel if it’s not generating and it’s shaded. I’d like to see a direct comparison between micro inverters and dc string and string with optimisers.
Just checked back through my system that e .g. in Jan 22 had no optimisers and a fair bit of shading in NW UK and it made a contribution every day. so in truth this was more of an advert not fully based on truth.
Mate if you can show me strong evidence that the REA produce 15-20% more, I will rip the 19 perc on my roof and replace them with the 440 ones you showed at the evm’s. I already have the Enphase micros
can enphase micro inverters work along side victron kit, i have an existing Inverter a Sunny Boy and panels and want to upgrade the panels and to enphase micro inverters, will enphase comunicate with the Cerbo GX ?
Can you mix and match different microinverters? If a microinverter fails and that model is no longer available, can you replace with a different manufacturers microinverter?
Hi Richard, not without separating it out of the circuit. Enphase will guarantee the product availability for the warranty period (25 years). You can mix and match panels though.
What you mean by REA system ....its just a module right ?? Enphase micro inverter system startup voltage is just 22 volt .It starts the system with low sunlight and can this be obtained from any decent module out in UK market.??
I’m rather anxious about using a panel that is not generally available on the market, am considering a quote from you at the moment. How can I obtain spares if the sole distributor goes under and if there is no side by side testing against other products on the market then there is no way to validate their functionality or longevity.
Yes you can do this with DC with SolarEdge which I'm sure you know. Also it might not be 0v but with SolarEdge you get safe DC with 1v per optimiser if the inverter is switched off. And you'd know which panel failed if that happened too.
Hi Richard, we have installed SolarEdge before and rate it. Generally we install SE on commercial installations. Overall, we prefer to install Enphase though 🙂
Eh. The "fireman's switch" has to be mounted within 2 meters of the solar panels. Mains power gets cut "firemans switch" isolates the DC in the attic space. No DC anywhere after the switch.

This was a great video. Not to long it was good. I learned lots. Thank you 🙏

@@Heatable Nice, looking forward to that. Expecting an impressive difference given all the positive things I've read 👍
Thanks for helping out EVMan and his brother. It’s appreciated. I am now subscribed
A pleasure, thanks for the sub!
We have 30kWp of solar. During dutch winter it sometimes doesn't produce more than a few hundred Wh per day for weeks on end.
Do your panels have micro inverters fitted? That could help with solar production in the Winter.
@@CastleKnight7 it's shade free we run an transfomerless SMA 25kVA inverter.

Will you sell the panels to Amsterdam? I cannot buy them here

We pair bi-facial panels with Enphase micro-inverters 🙌
What ? You can do many different combos DC with Victron gear .
