Indian & Pakistan also have their own versions of Chinese cuisine, developed by Chinese immigrants who utilized local ingredients & catered to local tastes. Like Chinese-American cuisine, these are much different than what's in China itself if the dish exists there at all.

Parts and Easter eggs I found particularly funny:
“How do you know I’m not Canadian?” Iman is actually Canadian.
“Red dagger a boy band name?” Reminds me of “I’m not joining you super secret boy band.” From Iron man 2 which Iman got right away on the Marvel quiz (I definitely wouldn’t have.)
Also the “where’d you learn to fight? Ninja turtles?” In the comics when Bruno and Kamala first meet as kids they bond over “Tween Mutant Samurai Turtles” 😉😜🤣
i thought of that scene between tony and nat in iron man 2 too and that's why i put it on the title 😉

after watching 4 episodes I’m in love with this series and I almost cried seeing my city being portrayed in such a beautiful way, as a Pakistani this show did so much justice to us, the dad always having a laugh, the strict mom, the aunties, the wedding was top notch, especially the nani, reminded me of my grandma, so grateful!

the show really did us justice , even tho im not from karachi it still showed the charm of pakistan

As an Indian, I found this episode the most beautiful. You get to experience the life of our region South Asia, it’s troubled history which emanates from the Partition of India. Families living together were torn apart by a maniac decision to divide the country, like how Germans felt after WWII.
Also Kamala’s Nani’s description of how conflicting is a Pakistani identity - coz their heart and culture lies in India but they’re forced to hate that country and embrace an alien Arab version of Islam - is so perfect!
it's nice to hear that they do a good job of representing that part of history on tv from someone who's part of it. thank you for sharing!

Hindus from Pakistan and Muslims from India had to leave back everything - house, family and friends, jobs - to go to an alien land with no security. And midway at the station they were attacked by the majority community. Many trains reached their destination with bloody corpses instead of people.
