The M550i would be making more power if it was stage 1 like around 525-545 which is more than the M3 Comp so it would have gapped it so the M550i is most likely not tuned at all

@@DonKarter12042020+ M550i makes the same peak hp and more power throughout the powerband compared to an M3 xDrive. So while it depends on the tune, even a weak, conservative tune would be enough to walk a stock M3
I just watched a 2020 m550i with just a 600 dollar JB4 totally destroy an m3 with exhaust intake and down pipe literally destroyed him three pulls in a row
If you’re talking about a G80 M3 with bolt ons on the stock tune, i believe you. Interestingly, the G8x xDrive dyno’s at just about the same peak hp as the MY20+ M50i’s, stock for stock. M50i making roughly 50lb-ft of torque more until the crossover around 5200rpm.
