I would have jumped straight into one of these apps some years ago, but now I'm warry about their exporting capabilities, you invest so much time building your notes there, then end up with flat, unlinked files when you want out. :\
Yeah, it is really annoying. That is what I am scared out with mymind, it only allows export in csv which really scares me. I find it best to just stick with one app for as long as I possibly can
The greatest products should provide sound exit strategies for their users. But it is hard to build an exit strategy in an emergent industry where it is not clear who will be the successor if the industry survives the capitalism at all )) if notion and anytype die, there is no alternative to accommodate the data bases ((
@@javamachine107 I love Anytype but I would personally wait a little longer until I poured everything into Anytype. I want to see how they deliver on their roadmap for the year. So it is a great app but I wouldn’t go all in yet, personally.
Thank you Daniel, another great video. Personally I don't need AI or collaboration, I just want something like Notion but encrypted and with the ability to self host

@@danielpourasg I m thinking to migrate to anytype from notion. I like their philosophy. Do you think it is worth the risk? ))
@@javamachine107 I agree! The good thing about Anytype is that you get all your files locally so they don’t disappear
