Cus sis... nothing compares to the struggles of smaller groups that have to share one meal between the whole group, no groceries, no transportation, no practice room... damn.
A lot of big 3 groups are mismanaged, example, Got7. But nothing near mistreatment. Kpop fans take that word to lightly now days. No, a kpop idol who have 10 seconds of line isn't mistreated, there's always a reason. No, a group doesn't have a lot of comebacks a year isn't mistreated.

No one deserves what those girls went through
I honestly felt bad for kard when they debuted because DSP is shit, but tbh, they're doing pretty well managing kard so you can say they're not as bad now I guess
Pretty much everyone under DSP has been treated badly at some point, even Kara. Three of them almost left the group early back in 2011 because they apparently weren't allowed to see family, among other things.
They were exploited, made 10k over 7 years and the erotic reputation burned bridges for them. Gayoung was in university and wanted to teach but can't do that anymor and felt she tainted her family name. They never thought twice about the consequences for the girls.
Al M It even happens to actors/actresses. Most companies in South Korea have a lot of power in them. More power the more you misuse that power. People love getting lost in that power. It happens a lot but we aren’t much aware of it. Unless it gets exposed to worldwide.
FNC Entertainment shamed and humiliated AOA into losing weight, with special focus on Seolhyun (since she pretty much saved the company from bankruptcy several times.) There's even some vlogs and reality show clips of FNC's staff screaming and yelling at AOA for eating a single bite of chicken or weighing 50 kgs. Then after YEARS of this abuse towards AOA, FNC Entertainment announces Cherry Bullet, which *coincidentally* has the same concept as AOA's latest release, Bingle Bangle. Speaking of Cherry Bullet, they've already had 2 comebacks in the span of five months while AOA hasn't had a comeback in over a year. And when it comes to AOA's health, there's been several instances where AOA members have fainted or passed out on stage, and there were rumors that Jimin and Choa had taken some diet pills that sent them to the hospital, all because FNC was putting too much pressure on them to lose weight.
@@acadia4995 If you're referring to AMFG's video, I'm aware of it. But they don't talk about the company as a whole, just more about the girls. (Plus if we're making a list of the worst kpop companies, I think they deserve to be on it)

Seolhyun is so extremely overrated as well in my opinion. I personally always thought Hyejeong was way more beautiful. In fact, I always have thought that Mina, Yuna, AND Hyejeong outshined Seolhyun im beauty by far. And that’s my unpopular kpop opinion.
I loved STELLAR’s music, though I have trouble watching their videos knowing how uncomfortable they were. I already knew a lot of what was in this vid but I’m glad to have more awareness of what monsters their company were (are?)
I feel like I'm one of few who really liked Stellers music. I watched their dance rehearsals a lot, especially Crying, Sting and Insomnia. I am happy that there are different concepts these days. In the past, it seemed like if a group didn't do well with cute, they became sexy, and sometimes raunchy.
Me too. I started fangirling them when I was around 14 years old. I always danced with them whenever I listen to their music in our house, probably because I don't really like it when someone looks at me when I'm dancing. But anyway, I memorized their songs and downloaded all of them on my laptop, phone, and USB. And then, I found it weird because whenever I read some comments about the MV they would always mention their outfit or sexy moves, and say they are so hot or they would bash it, but I never hear them praise them for their hard work. Sometimes it makes me want to bash their heads and call them idiots.
As a Twinkle im so glad you made this video. sometimes i miss stellar but then i remember all the suffering they went through during the days they were active and im glad they’re not idols anymore. thank you for spreading this story, twinkles truly appreciate it.
LMAO the fact that the public ignored them when they made a whole ass song about their struggles and insecurities, yet they got backlash by doing a sexy concept (the only type of concept that seemed to bring public attn). Knetz not being idiots challenge: failed.
I feel like Mask and Archangel of Sephiroth were both kind of perfect in that they did feel more mature and sexier than their old cutesy image, but it was a mature, elegant sort of sexy and not porno sexy. If Stellar had debuted with an image like that, and continued in that direction, they might still be around now. But their company was lazy and greedy, deciding to go for controversy instead.
Honestly, K-Pop companies are completely careless with their idols. If idols (a group) aren’t making enough money, you would exploit them just make money? You would literally make your group be put in an MV or concept that they don’t feel comfortable with in order to get fame? Yes, it’s a shame Stellar didn’t get a lot of hype, but you should consider their opinions, health and care. If they don’t feel happy, don’t push them and literally force them to put on a mask and look “happy”. Also, if they’re making comments either on social media or anything at all, realize what you’re doing and change it! It’s disgusting. Seriously, show off your body, wear extravagant clothes, and do sexy concepts when your idols aren’t happy... Purely sad and a shame...
Just an extra thing re: Soyoung being added into Stellar--this was actually done w/o the members' knowledge prior, and they only found out that she was getting added in through the Makestar... Which is guess further shows the company's lack of transparency w/ the group. Also, The Entertainment Pascal was originally called 'Top Class Entertainment', but it got changed at some point, I forgot when. Other than that, everything else was p much correct! Stellar was my first ult, and while I was sad to see them go, knowing that they're happir now that they're free from this shit company makes me happy. Thanks so much for this video!!
Thank you for talking about this and making a video about this :) This information was well researched and well brought together. I often read comments on other videos like "They weren't forced - if they didn't like it, why didn't they just leave", but forcing doesn't have to be merely physical, and can be coercive, as it was here. Just a note, since many Kpop fans don't seem to know this - the contracts that idols sign usually include clauses that mean that if they break the contract, they would have to pay back the company double the money that was on them by the company (although the top 4 largest companies reduced this so it was to only pay back what was invested, I think it was in 2018, in an effort by the Korean government to improve the industry). I also hear that there are often other clauses which prevent idols which break contracts from appearing in music shows. The fear of these penalty brings a power imbalance between the companys and their idols when there is friction, and you may have heard the colloquial expressions used by people in the industry to refer to the contracts as "Slave Contract"s. 11:15 Just some extra information on this. The reason why the album release was delayed, was because the albums produced only had photos of 4 members in the album jacket, and the "Thanks To" section was missing (refer to Vlive video for this). This is why Gayoung was outraged. I mean - their company didn't even check to make sure the album was properly produced with the right number of members. This kind of showed how little the company had started to care for the group. 15:08 Thank you for the tea :) It was well served.
*Stellar deserved so much more I can’t believe people forget about the horrendous treatment the girls had been through I’m soo glad you made this video!! 😃😃 (Also Mask is a BOP!!!)*
Just a little correction -- Stellar was the FIRST kpop girl group to make a solo show in Brazil, not "one of the firsts", so that meant a lot for brazilian twinkles and all the kpop community here.
I was so sad when I found out about Stellar’s disbandment last year but after watching this , I’m glad they did because I don’t want them to suffer trying to please us. Sure it upsets the fans but their health is way more important than our satisfaction. I’m hoping they’re doing great now.
After binge-watching this series of some of the worst entertainment companies, I feel an empty pit in my stomach. I knew the k-pop world was cruel but I never knew it was to this extent. I feel so ignorant, having only known about the Media Line scandal, but all my sincerest respect and well-wishing goes out to the victims that had to suffer because of such poor management. They are all so strong for enduring this, and fighting for themselves, and no living creature should ever have to go through this. I’m in a depressed mood right now, I gotta see if I can find a video on the best entertainment companies-
stellar is such an amazing group and deserve everything sweet and happy in the world. I love them for their music and personality im a huge fan of their cute and beautiful music ( I don't care much for their bodies ) they are all beautiful and sweet. I like some sexy girl groups like laysha but I prefer stellar as a cute group
I love this series! It sheds a light on how some company’s are truly awful which can honestly ruin a Stan experience because you want to support the group but you also know that helping the group is also helping the company continue to run and be scummy. It’s a sad thought really. You want to keep the group from disbanding but you also know that if the group or group members can’t get picked up by another (better) company they will have to stay there if they want to not have to repeat the years of training (Not all of the time). They might stay even if their mental and physical health are at stake because they made it that far. P.s I know the tea is cold but have you thought of reviewing DSP? From what I’ve seen they mishandled their groups and had like zero active artist.
I feel bad for the parents. 😔 surely they told them that they didn't choose to do a proactive concept and that they were forced to, you can't hide secrets from your parents. It's disrespectful. Gayoung said that her parents were ashamed and that's so upsetting
For those interested, Gayoung is on Miss Back, a show giving another shot at singing for idols whose careers didn’t go as planned. The first two episodes are almost like a group therapy session as they share their experiences, and Gayoung’s story .. it corroborates many things said here. It’s worth watching. Episodes can be found on RUclips, with English subs. It will make you even more furious at some of these companies.
Thank you for talking about this. I've liked Stellar for quite some time and it was hard to understand the whole situation when there was so little information but you showed everything very well. Very happy and hopeful that the girls can recover from this and live a happy life :)
Honestly through your channel I've found out that so many of my favourite groups have been treated so badly, and I thank you for bringing light to this! Stellar will forever be one of my favourite groups, and I really liked their sound of music, my favourite song of them will forever be Sting! I also really like archangels, even tho I noticed they were barely getting attention for it. However, I did feel uncomfortable because I felt it was probably kind of forced upon them, and then later heard from a friend the girls don't feel comfortable with it. I'm all for kpop accepting sexy concepts if they want to and like it, however stellar really got treated badly and they deserved way better, their songs were amazing. I'm glad they were able to escape and are hopefully able to fix their mental states and live a good life! Thank you for this
I was one of the people who suggested you make a video about this company so thank you for taking the time to do it! I think Stellar's story has made many think twice before shaming OR praising idols dancing/posing provocatively in revealing clothing because we don't really know what's going on behind the scenes. I'm so glad the girls are free now and I hope any other idols who are in the same (or similar) situation they were in find a way out as soon as possible.
Honestly, I kind of think that they had no choice in terms of having a sexy concept to keep them from disbanding (which is obviously a big problem in itself). But it should have been done in with the members’ consent and comfort.
I’ve watched this like 100 times at this point, and I just want to say thank you for helping bring Stellar’s story to the light. Stellar was full of so much talent, thankfully the former members look much happier nowadays
I was a big fan of Stellar. Minhee was my bias but omfg I've never seen a company basically legally pimp their artist out and they didn't deserve that.
I remember those old times when everyone know how very sexual Stellar's concepts, and we all thought it's meant to be like that. Now that their company is getting exposed of what they did, I really wish the girls to have a better life than their horrible past.
Also, it is true that we didn't notice them from the future comebacks after Marrionete. We only noticed them again in Vibrato and some thought they had a long time hiatus (including me)
Thanks fr details...feeling bad fr steller but irony of fate is that without sexy concept they would have remained unnoticed and disbanded much earlier
I'm really glad you made this video and brought some attention to stellar and what they had to suffer through. I became a fan of them through their song Sting and it is still one of my favourite kpop songs till this day. Being a fan during that time was difficult because of the continues struggle with the company and the lack of promotions. My heart broke for them when I heard they didn't want us to help them by giving money anymore. Also if I remember correctly the new member was added to the group after it became clear some of the member's contracts were ending. It made the fans feel like the company really didn't care at all about the girls and were ready to replace them the moment they left. I heard some fans left with them. I'm glad they are free now and grateful that they still want to be in contact with the fans by making yt channels.
Im only 8 minutes into this video and this is absolutely heart breaking and straight up wrong. Especially the fact where they aren’t making their idols comfortable! They should choose what they wanna wear to what makes them comfortable, and choose a concept they think would be successful.
Literally there's no perfectly good company in kpop... Even SM, YG, JYP etc ever do shits to some idols under the It seems I cannot fully stan to anywhere
I remember when I made a comment on how you should make a video on Stellar to expose their company so Im so happy you are actually doing a video on their company 👍😊
Man, I remember back when Vibratto came out... I felt so sorry for them! A lot of people bashed them for too, ahem, crude, while on the other hand, fans kept feeling sorry because we all knew they were uncomfortable as fuck. This was honestly the first group I was happy to see disband. I thought "they are finally free"
Sting deserved better I loved that comeback and felt they really suited the concept and Crying was a whole bop this is one group I wish had great success so sad
thanks for bringing attention to this! i was a twinkle (stellar fan) and it was so heartbreaking to watch them go through such mistreatment throughout their career. i encourage people to listen to their music though because the songs are very good despite the provocative concepts. if you don’t mind, please support minhee’s channel and gayoung’s acting career :)
i always knew stellar had been treated badly by their company and i was happy when they were finally free from their company when the contracts ended, even if i was sad that they would no longer promote together. but i did not know just how bad it really was. hearing how they traumatised jeonyul with the milk scene broke my heart. i'm just happy they're all free and able to focus on themselves now.
I remember how much hate Stellar got for doing these racy concepts. I'm glad they at least had some good fans supporting them hope they become successful!
I will never stop my love for Stellar they had amazing music but they were slut shamed, exploited didn’t get the recognition they deserved despite how hard they worked. Stellar really deserved better. 😤❤️
thank you for covering this! I'm such a big fan of these girls and I'm always glad when people cover their story because I feel like it needs to be heard
its kinda dissapointing that if a gg is dying then they usually do the sexy concept, because people always go crazy over it those wierd creeps and all.
thank you for FINALLY having someone talk about this situation. i've been waiting for someone to talk about it for years and nobody has talked about the subject
I loved Stellar. They were so sweet and had such great songs. Jeonyul is making her solo debut via Makestar. Please everyone check it out. I want her to have good experiences as an idol now instead of only bad memories.
GaYoung was so traumatized by those clothes she now wears long dresses plus she had to work as a food delivery after the disbandment since they little to nothing.(She said this on the show Miss Back).
It kills me that as a female they have to do a sexy concept even when they are young and you can tell it makes them feel uncomfortable . Because of things like this women are sexualized , and can lead to being sexually harrassed and disrespected. Having to turn to a sexy concept because the old concept didn't fit and people wanted them to be sexy not cute
You can criticize as much as you want, but the sexy concept made Stellar popular. Overall, sexy concept revealed for us the true gems, golden era of kpop: Sistar, AOA, T-Ara, After School, Brave Girls...
Stellar is one of those perfect examples of "what constitutes a choice made with the free-will of an individual" Some would argue that any decision made with the implications of payment or career hanging over ones head hinging upon the decision, removes the notion of free-will. (it's not a free decision, it's quid pro Quo. This decision for that result)
I knew all these scary stories. Thank you for making this English video to let more people know. Stellar is a talent group that should have been very successful, but their lives were ruined by the company. Hope this video could help more people understand their struggles. But, to be honest, I wish I hadn't heard these stories, so that I would think there were happy on stage, but the scenes behind the stage are heart breaking.
I preach to women who are feeling the self and sexy and good like yes girl you go. BUT IF YOU force them to do so and expose themselves, that is just not right.
the behind the scenes for some of those provocative videos had me tearing up. their eyes cried for help. im so so glad these girls are free now and living happily. minhee boy forever ♥️
Stellar’s Sting was such a bop i quickly bought it on iTunes & played the crap out of it & I remember thinking how tragic that it was being slept on! 😔 I still play it now & again
I loved Stellar. They were, in my eyes, awesome. Some of their songs did hit a sour note, but I still liked it. Is that weird? Either way, I am glad they are gone from that company. Thank you for the video.
It really makes me sad how the members themselves were urging fans to stop supporting them, as they wanted to disband that much. Most of the time, you become an idol to fulfil your dream and to hope for a more rewarding life, so to turn around to the point where you don’t want your fans to support you is just devastating

I feel like sexy concepts are okay if the idols themselves are COMFTORABLE with it.
yes you're right ... if you see the video or the performance they all look sad and uncomfortable

Such horrible people that run these companies.. no morals or empathy whatsoever
Al M It even happens to actors/actresses. Most companies in South Korea have a lot of power in them. More power the more you misuse that power. People love getting lost in that power. It happens a lot but we aren’t much aware of it. Unless it gets exposed to worldwide.
What was that intro song called??
@@johannymilord3371 kinda late to this but it's So Hot - BLACKPINK (the black label remix)
Fromis Trash there's a video on that
@@acadia4995 If you're referring to AMFG's video, I'm aware of it. But they don't talk about the company as a whole, just more about the girls. (Plus if we're making a list of the worst kpop companies, I think they deserve to be on it)
wow, I really had no idea about that, there are no other videos made on it?
@@acadia4995 Not that I know of. AOA is my ultimate group and seeing how they're treated by FNC is just disgusting, especially since no one has really addressed it. Everyone's out here cheering on Cherry Bullet, (which isn't a bad thing) but it feels like they're just sweeping AOA under the rug.
I hope Stellar makes their own company, cause all of their songs were such bops
Just like HIGHLIGHT
Just like HIGHLIGHT
They made no money, so I doubt it
Iseul Choe they could’ve sign under psy company. He treats all his idols nicely and he cares about them. They can date and do whatever they want
I loved marionette but the mv was horrible
I can't even imagine their faces while the makestar projects got so quickly to the goal... Horrifying. Poor girls, thank god it's over...
As a Twinkle im so glad you made this video. sometimes i miss stellar but then i remember all the suffering they went through during the days they were active and im glad they’re not idols anymore. thank you for spreading this story, twinkles truly appreciate it.
a twinkle and a yoongi stan... are you me?
LMAO the fact that the public ignored them when they made a whole ass song about their struggles and insecurities, yet they got backlash by doing a sexy concept (the only type of concept that seemed to bring public attn). Knetz not being idiots challenge: failed.
Wendy Williams is really a cherry on top of a great video
0:21 "This is a mess!"
Yeah, like this company is about to be.... smh
I clicked so damn fast. I have no idea wtf a Pascal Entertainment is though lmao
Same, i came for the tea
It saddens me to know that not many liked their Mask era cause it’s honestly my favorite song they’ve made well that and Archangel of Sephiroth
I felt way to many emotions during this video. Sad,angry, crying, upset and everything in-between I cannot believe that's how they were treated....
Please do mbk entertainment next! All of their artists are mistreated.
Please make a video about Kim Jongkook and Turbo [MBK/CCM]. You guys will be SHOCKED !! It's seriously so sad
Would u mind explain what happened
*insert cool username* To not spoil all of it I’ll tell you he was worked till hospitalisation and was physically severely abused
Mbk is truly a shitty company.. i still feel bad about t-ara
I feel bad for the parents. 😔 surely they told them that they didn't choose to do a proactive concept and that they were forced to, you can't hide secrets from your parents. It's disrespectful. Gayoung said that her parents were ashamed and that's so upsetting
Also, Can you talk about 4L(4Ladies) there was some serious things going on with their group.
I was about to comment this
I love this series more than my life.
Stellar had so much potential. They were very talented but they were forced to do concepts that lead to them being so uncomfortable and their downfall
After all these sad videos you need to make a series for the best entertainment companies
We only noticed them again in Vibrato and some thought they had a long time hiatus (including me)
Thanks fr details...feeling bad fr steller but irony of fate is that without sexy concept they would have remained unnoticed and disbanded much earlier
queen exposing the trash *sips tea*
Even SM, YG, JYP etc ever do shits to some idols under the
It seems I cannot fully stan to anywhere
I remember when I made a comment on how you should make a video on Stellar to expose their company so Im so happy you are actually doing a video on their company 👍😊
Man, I remember back when Vibratto came out... I felt so sorry for them! A lot of people bashed them for too, ahem, crude, while on the other hand, fans kept feeling sorry because we all knew they were uncomfortable as fuck. This was honestly the first group I was happy to see disband. I thought "they are finally free"
CAME HERE FOR THE TEA!! Girl, I did not even have time to fix my wig and look pretty for u-
THANK YOU!!!! I was WAITING for something like this. I knew something was wrong but I still didn't know what exactly went wrong with that group.

I know more about it in recent Miss back Korea TV Series where Ga young explain more it was really sad :(
I remember how much hate Stellar got for doing these racy concepts. I'm glad they at least had some good fans supporting them hope they become successful!
I will never stop my love for Stellar they had amazing music but they were slut shamed, exploited didn’t get the recognition they deserved despite how hard they worked. Stellar really deserved better. 😤❤️
*those girls deserved so much more because they honestly had so much potential and didn’t deserve to be treated in such a horrible way.*
thank you for covering this! I'm such a big fan of these girls and I'm always glad when people cover their story because I feel like it needs to be heard
its kinda dissapointing that if a gg is dying then they usually do the sexy concept, because people always go crazy over it those wierd creeps and all.
true
thank you for FINALLY having someone talk about this situation. i've been waiting for someone to talk about it for years and nobody has talked about the subject
Stellar is one of those perfect examples of "what constitutes a choice made with the free-will of an individual"
Some would argue that any decision made with the implications of payment or career hanging over ones head hinging upon the decision, removes the notion of free-will.

Thank you for sharing this. I came across the video Vibrato but I was shocked so had to search more. Everything makes sense now. Poor girls 😞
At least the girls had their backs even after disbanding
Okay, so I found some missing info about the Entertainment Pascal:

stellar’s story has and will always touch my heart. it hurts to see them having to smile even though their situation is literal HELL. im not a stan but i enjoyed some of their more recent songs and im glad theyre disbanded and free from the evil that is The Entertainment Pascal. i hope they’re all doing well now💖
Stellar was one of my favorite groups back in the day. I'm so sad to learn of all this stuff.
What happened to this group is truly horrible, I found out about them while reading an article about disbanded groups. What this disbandment actually showed was the bigger problem in the sphere, how messed up our minds are and how the South Korean culture of not standing up for women rights. I hope things get better for women in SK, and the system gives them more respect. Also I hope someone could file a freaking lawsuit on this company for the wrong doings, totally disgusting.
i literally watched videos about this company and wanted to ask you to do them.. this a coincidence
Telepathy perhaps...
