To hear about this news again made my heart ache. It was really really hard times when the news broke, to find out about the sexual harassment and mistreatment ; also because im a fan of dgna/x5 and i supported them with all my heart, it added more to the pain. I remember upon hearing the news people speculate who could be the members that was sexually abused and being pushed to the investors. And i had a chance to meet dgna five years ago and that time they had already changed their company to poom ent, that was two years after the incident with owent. The members were nothing but sweet, and their eyes seemed to hold a lot of stories and sadness. Dgna was doing okay in Japan, im glad they built a strong career there until now the members of dgnas were active in Japan, some were in musical, and two of them served in the military. As for X5, after they left, the member Zin just disappeared and we heard nothing about him whilst leader Ghun enlisted in military and he is now active acting. Three members who found new agency under lukus( they add two new members), they were also active in Japan. however not long after, the youngest in the group left and decided to serve in the military. Basically, these people had a very shitty experience in owent god knows what happened to them during the period. however im glad that some of them found their own way to live their life. the awful things that their ceo did to them and the female trainees were so fckin unacceptable. Sighs. They still hold.special place in my heart and i really cared for them to see how well they are doing now on social media, what a relief.
I remember when I heard about Eastlight and I cried. Imagine being the families of the boys who entrusted the company to take care of them but instead hurt them physically and emotionally. Its unacceptable and heartbreaking.
Actual abuse is so different than other companies keeping their idols in their basement or not managing them properly. At first I didn‘t think much of this video bc I‘ve never heard of the groups nor the companys but then I suddenly recognized lee woojin in the video and found out he‘s part of the east light. I know him from produce 101 s2 and honestly he was so damn talented that I thought ‚yeah his company must‘ve trained him well‘ but now I‘m just disgusted and devastated. I rlly hope that the boys are doing fine now and are recovering from the traume bc this honestly is unexcuseable!
Thank you for doing what you do! You're my favorite Kpop fan channel ♡ Here's a suggestion for the next Worst Entertainment Company: TheEntertainmentPascal. Long story short: they exploited the girl group Stellar.
I think Lee Seok Cheol is so freaking brave to give that press con. He was visibly shaken by all that, but even like that he chose to speak up. I also hope this is a single mismanagement example, but to be honest, I don't even trust the big companies. Cube, that is regarded as one of the biggest (and now, even after the thing with Hyunah, people are somehow still finding it a good company) had the issue with G.Na, that, no matter how I try to see it, was basically sponsorship. So yeah, I really can't trust kpop companies
the way nobody would’ve known about this if it weren’t for that boy for speaking up.. they’re a probably hundreds of other companies doing the same thing to their idols and we don’t even know it.. that’s scary
Tbh as a Sunny (TEL's fandomname), I was suprised and surely confused as I heard about the abusement. The brothers came out to say that they are getting abused, Sagang and Eunsung say that the brothers are lying. Junwook and Woojin stay silent... I've seen them in their brightest days. But it made me sad seeing them slowly grow apart. The brothers are still following eachother on instagram. Eunsung and Sagang still hang out together, Junwook and Woojin unfollowed all of them. Which makes me sad, Junwook was the one who kept on following everyone on ig. But now he unfollowed everyone, he's doing great though. Him and a friend of his are starting their own 'group'(?) I hope the best for my 6 guys.
Thank you for making a video about them and informing people who might have not known about the horrible things they did! It's really scary to think that there most likely are other companies out there doing the same things or even worse without anyone knowing.
i feel so bad for them all the group of boys (media line) they look so happy but suffered in so many ways and the open world one was crazy too why would that do that to their trainees
Abuse is never okay in any shape and form. These are children, teenagers who are just figuring themselves out and these companies have terribly taken away that from them. Yo, I'm about to go fight them. Idc how long ago this shit was I'll still deck em where it hurts
I remember when I found out about theEastLight abuse, I absolutely loved that group and to know that they went through so much pain still hurts me to this day
I am sad I don't know how people have the courage to treat human beings like this it is so hard for them and i hope they are in good conditions now I am half Korean and I am scared for being a kpop idol it is my dream and hearing this makes me scared😢😢 I love your videos
Continue following your dreams, you deserve to succeed and reach your goals. Just remember that you as a human are worth more than what abusive companies might tell you and if you ever wind up a trainee in a company that starts mistreating you, walk away and try a different company. I wish you all the best on your path.
For those who still wants to see more of the other members, two of them, Eunsung and Sagang, are working as a duo now. They don't have like a debut yet but they are actively making song and dance covers. Their channel is called "PEAK AND PITCH". "Peak" is Sagang and "Pitch" is Eusung. It's their stage name now. I hope you don't mention their former bandname "The East Light." cos I feel like they don't wanna remember that moment but it doesn't mean they fully wanna forget it. You'll see why when you see their version of "Iko Iko" where they included a signature dance move from The East Light. debut song called "I got you". See their live performance of it (I got you) cos that MV is deleted. They basically wanted a fresh new start and I hope some of you would support them on that. They are very talented. I'm not just saying this because I'm their fan. Go check them out and you'll see what I mean. Thank you so much to those who'll give them a try.
We don’t know anything! And no matter what company every company has something it doesn’t want to show! This further shows how we will never know until someone speaks up!
Wow, I thought 9 years was already way too short, less than 1 year per girl, especially considering that some were minors I seriously can’t believe he got it shortened to 6 He deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life To use power over people like that is really just an extremely awful thing to do I can’t believe people like that exist
I remember the Boss and X9. They were my KIDS. I was sooooo invested in them. I didn't even know what company they were from. And I remember seeing the article and video of what happened to my East Light. I was so devastated. We get so blinded by all the glitz and glamour that we kinda forget that these are real people going through REAL trauma and unbelievable situations. My heart goes out to all our idol beans struggling with their stupid companies. And also. Can you talk about *SMENT?* I have been a kpop fan since 08 and honestly, despite their success, they really do treat their idols like garbage. One incident will forever be ingrained in my mind- *making Han Kyung wear a FUCKING MASK on stage during their (SJ) debut* And there are many others. Thank you for doing this series. It's a real eye opener.
YG ent. Problem are the artist themselves doing the harm and it’s reflecting off of the label. But companies like Media Line ent. and Open World ent. It the company abusing the trainees.
I requested Media Line owo. You were able to hear the abuse in The East Light vlives and videos. They said tahr, "we are scared of our ceo's" and way more abused happened to him and those were exposed
I have been looking for East Light cause I forgot their name, I only remember watching them on the same music show BTS was on at that time. I watched their MV but I already forgot the name since it has been years. I'm really sad that I found them again on your channel and hearing the ab*use they went through.
Two of them, Eunsung ang Sagang are active as Duos now. Their channel is called "Peak and Pitch". Peak is Sagang and Pitch is Eunsung. They don't have like a debut yet but they usually upload song and dance covers. Show them lots of love. 💞
You should make a video about DS&A entertainment... they forced the 10 member boy group ATEEN to promote in Japan while they had injuries and sick (they didn’t treat the injuries) and the CEO and his wife sexually abused some of the members. The story is honestly heart breaking and there’s more details to it but this is just a quick summary
I know I am late but I just saw this now and im trully disgusted by both of the companies, how could they?..and those parents who kept sending their child there,i dont even understand. Their child was being abused and tortured they knew it the child told them so many times and they still send them there. omg. Poor trainees and idols my heart is with them
I miss Eastlight 😭😭 but It's best that they disbanded, hopefully they find a different company (or maybe they did, I was just a fan for a few months since I Stanned late) and debut there, or maybe they won't debut, but what ever happens we need to support them.
No one as a trainee would ever imagine what horrible things they could go thorugh. Many of then couldn't say anything because they were scared and It's so terrifying to wake up everyday feeling unmotivated or sad, knowing what's waiting for you once you get to your company. Many of them faked smiles in order to avoid questions, how horrible. THEY.ARE.SHIT
A shady company is DS&A Enttertainment. The CEO and some other lady related to the company were accused of sexually abusing 6 out of 10 of their only group, ATEEN, which is now disbanded. There isn't much to cover since it's a new company but if more information comes out about the situation then it might be an interesting one to touch on.
I’ve been a kpop stan for a year and I have heard of these two entertainments but never did research. Now that I know what I know I am grossed out. How could that happen? I hate that sometimes I forget how dark kpop can be.
Thank you for talking about Open World Ent since not many know of it, as a DGNA fan I remember when all these news were coming out, but nowadays not many are aware of how shit and disgusting this company was and how much their CEO actions affected a lot of their trainees and artists, leaving them with awful traumas
These young men and women are so strong for not only getting through this, but for being able to speak out and seek justice for what happened to them and others. They have my respect (the victims) ❤️❤️
reminds me of what happened to Ateen under DS&A.... The CEO assaulted the boys at a restaurant, and from what I can tell they have disbanded and I haven't heard much about charges against the CEO
This is so awful, those poor kids!! They straight up tortured those kids. These trainees are so vulnerable. Reminds me of Lou Perlman in the US who abused all of those boys in the boy bands in the 90's, or Harvey Weinstein. This whole system needs workplace reforms now.
When i heard the news my heart broke since i have been a fan because of woojin when he appeared in produce 101. I really like their music and the fact they are about the same age as me it just breaks my heart that they had to deal with this shit.
I feel so bad for those poor members in The East Light. They went through so much. I hope this doesn’t stop them from doing what they love and following their dreams. I also hope the people that contributed in this act of abuse towards them rot in hell.
This is, by far, the worst thing to ever have encounter about these companies in the industry. Like, I feel like these CEOs get off on abusing people like they're animals. If I had my own company and I hear stuff like this happening, I don't care how good you are, you're getting fired AND arrested in the same day. No second chances, no slaps in the hand. They are going to prison. No way are they staying in my company.
I remember watching an episode of after school club with eastlight and the boys all looked so jolly and were funny. I could never in my wildest imagination could have imagined they were being abused this much! I really hope and pray they somehow get the justice they deserve and also overcome any trauma and this episode in their lives is somehow erased or forgotten by them 😔
Again thank you so much for this video..you have no idea how much these videos help , you're an angel and I can't thank you enough I feel so sorry for these trainees and idols , an innocent dream that grows within a child's heart can be stomped on like this....it's so heart breaking . I hope they find it in themselves to live happily and to chase their dreams If they still want to
Oh god My heart goes to the victims, they didn’t deserve anything like that. How can someone be so cruel. I honestly felt like crying because it’s horrible when someone has to give up on their dreams. 😓😠😧
Thank you for this video . I love you 💟💞. Please next time try to talk about brave entertainment , for me brave entertainment is the worst entertainment I ever seen for real .
This is so gut-wrenching. Idols have to go through so much already. Strict diets, non-stop training, lots of media publicity, etc. But for the idols to have to go through this is so disgusting. @@KimSohyeManager what? =)) T-ara debuted in 2009, that's the year SNSD came back with Gee and blew up. Then, T-ara was successfull with Bo Peep, but it wasn't til 2011 when they came back with Roly Poly that they took the crown from SNSD and not long after that, the scandal blew up.
And solo artist
There were members being sexually abused??? That was disgusting,!
@@ermwhatevera yes it was from the investigations. No one knew who got sexually harassed. They didnt release names, but we kinda made a guess though.
11:24 I can feel the pain in his voice :(((. I want to hug him and tell him all sorts of pretty things that will make him happy
16:48 "mom, please don't be too sad if I die" god, that is such a heartbreaking sentence. media line entertainment are monsters
You're my favorite Kpop fan channel ♡
Here's a suggestion for the next Worst Entertainment Company: TheEntertainmentPascal. Long story short: they exploited the girl group Stellar.
Literally exploited. Forced to do sexy concepts and skimpy clothes and sexy dances while not getting rides to schedules.
So yeah, I really can't trust kpop companies
the way nobody would’ve known about this if it weren’t for that boy for speaking up.. they’re a probably hundreds of other companies doing the same thing to their idols and we don’t even know it.. that’s scary
another unheard company ....
another terrible company...
*sips tea video is giving*
All the tea goin to b spilled here
More companies for you !
-Mbk
-Star empire
-laysha company group
-the entertainment pascal
-DS&A entertainment ( ateen sexual abuse scandal)
i feel so bad for them all the group of boys (media line) they look so happy but suffered in so many ways and the open world one was crazy too why would that do that to their trainees
Abuse is never okay in any shape and form. These are children, teenagers who are just figuring themselves out and these companies have terribly taken away that from them. Yo, I'm about to go fight them. Idc how long ago this shit was I'll still deck em where it hurts
When you said the boygroup the boss I started punching the air like not them omg bruh why. *People are just sick humans*
Welcome to K-Pop...actually not just happen for idols-trainees, but also view of actresses
I remember when I found out about theEastLight abuse, I absolutely loved that group and to know that they went through so much pain still hurts me to this day
I got so mad when I read Open World, they make me sooooo mad 😠
I am sad I don't know how people have the courage to treat human beings like this it is so hard for them and i hope they are in good conditions now I am half Korean and I am scared for being a kpop idol it is my dream and hearing this makes me scared😢😢
I love your videos
Continue following your dreams, you deserve to succeed and reach your goals. Just remember that you as a human are worth more than what abusive companies might tell you and if you ever wind up a trainee in a company that starts mistreating you, walk away and try a different company. I wish you all the best on your path.
@@rougerain4055 THANK YOU💜💜YOU ARE SO SWEET
Ew. These entertainments need Jesus.
Depends of they r christians
Bless you for this video. This should never be tolerated ever. NEVER.
I'm so glad this popped up on my suggested cuz oooohhh myyyy gooshhhh !!
If this series doesn’t make your channel blow up imma be upset, almost as upset as these companies make me ☹️
Wow, I thought 9 years was already way too short, less than 1 year per girl, especially considering that some were minors
I seriously can’t believe he got it shortened to 6
He deserves to rot in jail for the rest of his life
To use power over people like that is really just an extremely awful thing to do
I can’t believe people like that exist
I felt so bad for Theeastlight. They were such good kids and did not deserve what they got
One incident will forever be ingrained in my mind-
*making Han Kyung wear a FUCKING MASK on stage during their (SJ) debut*
And there are many others. Thank you for doing this series. It's a real eye opener.
All their fucking abuse to their Chinese idols and female idols
@@mooncherrie *exACTLY*
YG ent. Problem are the artist themselves doing the harm and it’s reflecting off of the label. But companies like Media Line ent. and Open World ent. It the company abusing the trainees.
I remember when the east light thing happened. It really broke my heart and I still feel terribly bad for what happened to them
I requested Media Line owo. You were able to hear the abuse in The East Light vlives and videos. They said tahr, "we are scared of our ceo's" and way more abused happened to him and those were exposed
Pls do crayon pop. After seeing the video of one of the members it's so sad and shocking!
When you said Media Line and Open World, it made me want to puke
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
*_I stan a respectful informative queen_*
I can't wait for the next video. Every time I watch this series I learn more and more but its sad this these are the thing we had to find out
I have been looking for East Light cause I forgot their name, I only remember watching them on the same music show BTS was on at that time.
@@samui3763 Thank you! I'll definitely check them out
You should make a video about DS&A entertainment... they forced the 10 member boy group ATEEN to promote in Japan while they had injuries and sick (they didn’t treat the injuries) and the CEO and his wife sexually abused some of the members. The story is honestly heart breaking and there’s more details to it but this is just a quick summary
They was tryna get that coin, but they got those lawsuits.
I know I am late but I just saw this now and im trully disgusted by both of the companies, how could they?..and those parents who kept sending their child there,i dont even understand. Their child was being abused and tortured they knew it the child told them so many times and they still send them there. omg. Poor trainees and idols my heart is with them
This video makes pledis looks like a great company!
Try covering the story of Turbo and Kim Jongkook please
I miss Eastlight 😭😭 but It's best that they disbanded, hopefully they find a different company (or maybe they did, I was just a fan for a few months since I Stanned late) and debut there, or maybe they won't debut, but what ever happens we need to support them.
I'm so proud of all the victims who spoke out, it must have been so hard. Just watching the press conference is heart breaking
Can we take a moment to apreciate this intro?
No one as a trainee would ever imagine what horrible things they could go thorugh. Many of then couldn't say anything because they were scared and It's so terrifying to wake up everyday feeling unmotivated or sad, knowing what's waiting for you once you get to your company. Many of them faked smiles in order to avoid questions, how horrible. THEY.ARE.SHIT
Omg you should talk about DSP Entertainment
Just when I thought TS entertainment was the worst, the world decides to bring these out of the depths of hell
This is so awful, those poor kids!! They straight up tortured those kids. These trainees are so vulnerable. Reminds me of Lou Perlman in the US who abused all of those boys in the boy bands in the 90's, or Harvey Weinstein. This whole system needs workplace reforms now.
Thank you for bringing these issues to light I swear you are becoming the kpop community’s Shane Dawnson with these videos
When i heard the news my heart broke since i have been a fan because of woojin when he appeared in produce 101. I really like their music and the fact they are about the same age as me it just breaks my heart that they had to deal with this shit.
I’m so disgusted of what these two companies did to them
I feel so bad for those poor members in The East Light. They went through so much. I hope this doesn’t stop them from doing what they love and following their dreams. I also hope the people that contributed in this act of abuse towards them rot in hell.
I dont understand something about humans
what is fun about abusing people? Just what is it that people find fun in it
This is, by far, the worst thing to ever have encounter about these companies in the industry. Like, I feel like these CEOs get off on abusing people like they're animals. If I had my own company and I hear stuff like this happening, I don't care how good you are, you're getting fired AND arrested in the same day. No second chances, no slaps in the hand. They are going to prison. No way are they staying in my company.
The comments yesterday that guessed STARSHIP was tea... Have you even SEEN the logo????? Media Line, not even close, smh.
I remember watching an episode of after school club with eastlight and the boys all looked so jolly and were funny. I could never in my wildest imagination could have imagined they were being abused this much! I really hope and pray they somehow get the justice they deserve and also overcome any trauma and this episode in their lives is somehow erased or forgotten by them 😔
Again thank you so much for this video..you have no idea how much these videos help , you're an angel and I can't thank you enough
I feel so sorry for these trainees and idols , an innocent dream that grows within a child's heart can be stomped on like this....it's so heart breaking . I hope they find it in themselves to live happily and to chase their dreams If they still want to
Oh god
My heart goes to the victims, they didn’t deserve anything like that.
I just wish each and every idol from every single company would be treated with respect. No matter how famous or unknown.
