I had the most stressful day talking to tech support because the headset for my son's spanish program would not work, the headphone part worked but the mic was not working and after wasting over hours it was unresolved, but a new headset (which I needed to anyway cause the padding on my old one was falling off) and that wasn't working either, thought my PC had an issue. Thank-you, now my son can start learning his spanish lessons this school year. So happy!

Thanks so much! I didn't know how to do school without my mic! The step that helped me was between 1:30 and 2:45. Instead of raising my volume, I saw the speaker option next to the volume increase/decrease had a megaphone with a red circle with a line through it. I clicked it, and it turned into a megaphone with blue sound waves coming from it. Thanks again!

The last one was the one!!! i was close to giving up but i’m so glad i stuck through!
That was it! I had an important Teams Meeting, camera worked, sound worked, but no mic.
Luckily the meeting was re-scheduled because a couple of key invitees didn't attend.

I need help when my headphone with a mic is plugged in it seems to record the internal audio of the laptop when i use voice recorder, but when i unplug it it works properly and records my voice.
I have searched for the error for two weeks now, deinstalled my mic, reinstalled it, searched for driver updates, went through everything...and now you are telling me that it were my private settings all along and i never ever touched them. My mic's problem is that It works fine for a few minutes then just stopped working then becomes static (sometimes there's no sound at all) then it will work again then stop, work stop work stop.

To people who are struggling with their mic not working, by going to properties on their sound in control panel click on levels and theirs a sound symbol where you can mute it or not. It was randomly muted for me and might be for others. Hope this helps!

@@zentrix4161 just found it out 5min ago, im fucking stupid. My mic is on my headset its connectet with a control panel wich over I muted my mic with a little butten on the side of it that I have never even knew it was there. I got this headset for 4years now.

@@kerbstomp193 I bought a Nitro 5 and returned it because of this issue. The issue is with the Realtek audio console! Try to fix it! You should seperate the input device from Realtek array, that's the solution.
