I came to this site as a 73-year-old 60-day-old novice and found it super helpful. Luckily, I downloaded the sheet from the web and followed the session along with it. That made it even better. If there can be a follow-up session on the remaining parts of Fur Elise, please do let me know.

You are the most wonderful competent teacher in the world, nice, gentle, sweet, adorable with your beautiful hands like butterfly in the air. I'm an old Italian woman, never studied piano, english explanations are difficult for me and the internet world either , so I'll learn as much as I can at my age. Thanks for this very clear tutorial. I like you very much Marina, you are angelic and I dream to meet you one day, and be your friend. A big hug

I'm 59 and 3 months in learning the piano and have been working on this piece now and I have the pattens down and it "resembles" the piece but your hands are like angels floating across the keyboard where mine are like bricklayers hands laying a brick wall BUT thank you for laying out the how your hands are meant to move over the keyboard. I will replay this vid while I revise my piano skills, again many thanks.

I think it's wonderful that you are learning to play. Keep in mind that, just like with any physical activity, it takes time and the correct application of technique to gain mastery. Make sure that you are not playing just pieces, but also doing my technique exercises. Also, watch the videos where I talk about technique. :)

It's so hard to play both hands. I'm 60 years old n my favorite group of the 70's was The Ohio Players...n my favorite member was Billy Beck he played the piano n lead vocals, music arrangement song writter. He wrote the music to the 1977 Movie " The Greatest" About Muhammad Ali. But Michael Masser. Stold it. I always wanted to b just like him when I was a young teenager 13/14 ..but never persuade the gift. But now I'm trying to learn using the Greatest Piano piece ever wrote..as a lesson. WOW 😲! But I like how u teach it..u break it down inna very understanding way. Thank You for your time...

This is amazing. Thank you so much. I am so grateful for this video I was struggling with cathing up with left hand and trying to figure it out on my own. Your explanation of hand position and movement for this particular piano piece is exceptional. I always wanted to learn to play piano. I actually tried to get in to music school when I was 7 years old beck in Europe, on I was on waiting list, because most of the actors children where trying out as well and got in. And when they approved me I already made friends with kids in regular school and Mom decided to keep me there. Which is ok because I made friendships lasting lifetime. I am in my 50's children flew out of the nest and it's time to achieve my dreams. Which was to sit down to piano and just being able to play. Thank you for your time and dedication. Sending love, peace and kindness ❤

I appreciate your tip at 22:37 minutes, to lift with the wrist not with the fingers. I have been watching your hands very closely and I can see that they are so relaxed and almost swaying with the rhythm of the music. I am trying to do this the best I can. These techniques and tips are more important for me to learn than the song itself. As always, thanks for your videos and your willingness to teach others.

Thanks, Jim Redner. I think of it as every movement having a follow through. It's like if you're swinging a tennis racket or throwing a ball, there's a part that comes after the racket hits the ball, or the ball leaves your hands. So, playing the key isn't the end of the movement, there needs to be a follow through of that.
