the backstory behind the song is basically: he taught a girl called elise who sucked at piano, fell in love, wrote a song even she could play, learned she was married and then expanded on the piece to make it so she would never be able to play the full piece correctly this song is literally made from spite and pettyness

Sigue así Kan Lang, haces mucho bien a muchas personas como yo.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Lang lang is exactly the guy who plays it how I like the song... Just right.. You can just see his hands and body move with absolute perfection... It's.... Insane
Lang Lang, your exquisite sensitivity while playing is extraordinary! This un-rushed expression, space, timing, soft and tranquil, at 2:07 heartbreaking pathos of Für Elise is the only interpretation that understands the intentions of Beethoven! Thank you! I’ve searched RUclips and even Ashkenazy’s version is rushed! You give the experience of love and loss, sorrow and melancholy of Beethoven back to us! ❤️
From 1:40 to 1:45 I recognized that I never knew Fur Elise, in his hands it sounds completely different, he contributed more senses, images, dynamics than we got used to listening famous melody, it became dimensional, deeper than just a simple melody.
Been listening to all genre of music for the past 30 years. 'Fur Elise' is definitely the most beautiful piece of melody I have ever heard. The story behind this composition makes this timeless classic even more special. Lang Lang absolutely nails every note and emotion in this version.
Lang played it perfectly. He made the piece sound heavy, yet light as a feather all at the same time. A perfect balance. Not too fast, not too slow, just right.
I’ve listened to Lang Lang’s interpretation a million times! Each one I discover something else that makes his version elegantly majestic. He inspires perfection!
This is the most beautiful version I've heard of Für Elise. I feel like the first part is often rushed, but taking it slow like this is what makes it so magnificent. Note: I'm only a beginner player myself and haven't read the sheet music, so I don't know what it says about speed, I just like it played slowly.
Agree. This is the best. Others are played way too fast, without any emotion in there. This is what great differs from the mediocre ig. How's you learning? I just started one month ago can play easy part of the song in the beginning 😁
@@victoria_8817 I've done with Fur Elise a while ago and proceeded with many other songs. If you just started piano I think you should skip the 2nd part for later. if the song is love of you life keep grinding it, just need 2x time of the 1st part. Be more relax persistence is the key ;)
Lang Lang is absolutely incredible!! The way he moves his fingers it is like the piano becomes an extension of him. He is a truly gifted artist! I can barely make my fingers stretch enough to reach the keys at all:(
I LOVE the way he takes pedal off at 2:30 and it gradually yields to a halt before reminiscing back to the key of Aminor as if a relationship had ended but the memories live on.
Incredibly soothing and peaceful. This song brings back so many memories. The player clearly has so much passion into his performance. Gotta love it!!!
Melody just flows from his fingers like a flow of clear water stream. I think Maestro Beethoven himself would be pleased with this performance. This is, the BEST performance I have ever heard. Magnificent.
I love heavy dubstep, but something about the way this is played just moves you to the core, the emotion brought on by the passion within the pianist just…makes sense, beautiful
Facial expression and body movement while playing musical instruments - energizes the music and gains better attention from the listeners and the audience and Lang Lang is very good in that kind of performance. Bravo! 😊
I hear him speaking to Elise, tender and passionate words: he makes this partition alive if i can say so. I played it, heard it so many times, but never this way...Wonderful!
This was a much slower take on the piece than I'm used to hearing, but it sounds a lot better this way. Lang Lang was able to put a LOT of feeling into this, more than most pianists I've heard. Yes the piano sounds great.
It really doesn't. The tempo is just awkward. Especially the 2nd movement sounds weird (starts at 0:55). It needs to be played fast because it gives contrast to the slow parts. I just don't think that this is how Beethoven imagined it to be played.
I recently started playing this piece and I did some research on it it and the woman he was writing this to was actually called Therese. Lang Lang is such an inspiring person. Beethoven is probably ecstatic listening to talented people like Lang Lang playing his legendary piece.
Oh my gosh this is superb!! I can actually see Elise in front of him, totally in sync with Beethoven’s soul. His fingers are caressing her body with passion, tenderness and pain. I’ve never seen anyone played this piece with this depth of interpretation.
This is true mastery, I am rediscovering 'For Elise'. Yes, it has been overplayed all over pop culture, still this piece is undeservedly spurned by most concertists.
Ive been playing piano for a while now, and so am very familiar with Fur Elise but listening to this just makes me feel like its my first time.... the feeling of wonder and amazement is there..... so amazing.
Beethoven wäre über alle Maßen glücklich wenn er diese Interpretation hören oder wenigstens erfühlen könnte. Es ist einzigartig und unerreicht. Herzlichen Dank

When I listen to Lang Lang's playing I feel the true music, pure music by my heart. It seems to me that there is no piano, there is no one who plays the piano, just music deeply touches my heart and soul. When I close my eyes there are only music and me.
Heart and soul👁👄👁 that made me feel like im missing a piano
Yeah, for me, when I do that, it’s just me, the music, and my dad yelling at me to start my homework
Eu também me sinto assim, ouvindo Lang Lang. Ele se transporta para outra esfera, e vou seguindo ele. E o maior artista pianista pra mim. Nos toca no fundo da alma.
Goosebumps. You can feel the emotions coming from the piano. This is the best rendition on youtube hand down no questions asked.
For all young parents: Beethoven 's Ode to the baby.
Rien à redire! Bravo
"There is no such thing as best. Only different."
~Arthur Rubenstein (in response to being told that people call him the greatest).
Bugger me! Lang Lang is playing this with HIS EYES CLOSED. I struggle to play this with my eyes open!
I know right? hes a really good musician!
“True musicians don’t use there eyes but their hands”-someone
He can also play Rach 3 with his eyes closed
Say what you want about Lang Lang in general, but you can't overlook that this is probably the best this piece will ever get played.
never heard of him
i would like to have a word with his parents though
Well not ever, Beethoven played it too
Wow, just wow! This is probably the best version, the right tempo, not ignoring dynamics like everyone else...
This should actually be the new add for Steinway and Sons...
He plays it very softly, and the smell of loss in the melody is so palpable.
the backstory behind the song is basically: he taught a girl called elise who sucked at piano, fell in love, wrote a song even she could play, learned she was married and then expanded on the piece to make it so she would never be able to play the full piece correctly
this song is literally made from spite and pettyness
Finally. My daughter Elise was born 20th November 2022. So glad I found this fantastic version of her song. Finally. So many great pianists have rushed through this wonderful piece. Lang Lang treats it as the true master he is. Gentle soul. Pure magic. E and I thank you maestro..
are you Elise‘s da d
No

The most beautiful fur elise ever played by the greatest pianist ever.
Even ludvig van beethoven will stand and applaud. Played with the feeling and heart poured into it.
Beethoven could probably play it better.
Me too

The best performance of this I have heard in 70 years. Stunning and beautiful.
This one is the most beautiful version of für elise I've ever heard, he's enjoying while playing and it sounds incredible.
The way his fingers dance across the keys. How he connects with each note. Astounding
Lang lang is exactly the guy who plays it how I like the song... Just right.. You can just see his hands and body move with absolute perfection... It's.... Insane
Lang Lang is my hero! Him and a Steinway, PERFECTION!
I love how he tells his story and how you can feel the emotions with the piano, dancing with the fingers. Amazing. Beatiful.
Du hast es perfekt ausgedrückt. Das sehe ich ganz genauso ❤
...ich kenne keinen anderen Pianisten, der die Tasten so behutsam streichelt wie Lang Lang....ein Genuß, ihm zu zusehen!!!
From 1:40 to 1:45 I recognized that I never knew Fur Elise, in his hands it sounds completely different, he contributed more senses, images, dynamics than we got used to listening famous melody, it became dimensional, deeper than just a simple melody.
It gave me chills
That's what I thought at the first place
Top chef cooking scrambled eggs

Top chef made scrambled eggs a micheline star dish
He adds a lot if ingredients that taste nice
I was gonna liken it to a professional guitarist playing smoke on the water
I cried midway, this was so beautiful and enlightening. It shows true purpose in life and taught me lessons I don't know what I would do without..
It maybe helped you find your tooth
It taught you to be a better cook?
A beautiful, beautiful rendition of Fur Elise on a STUNNING piano. Thank you Lang Lang, Steinway and Beethoven.
I love how Lang Lang plays this piece with so much emotion....so beautiful!
The respect this man has for the instrument and musical masterpiece is just perfect!
Lang Lang played with passion. I enjoyed watching his facial expression and finger movements.
I’ve listened to Lang Lang’s interpretation a million times! Each one I discover something else that makes his version elegantly majestic. He inspires perfection!
2 god given talents one to make the piano and one to play it, what a combination,.
And one who wrote this composition.
Without doubt the best of all versions. Perfect tempo and weight.
Same. Just that I know how to play piano.
@@CW-bl1hkhow is your progress? I can do easy parts, but struggling in second part left and right hand just don’t want to coordinate😢
@@victoria_8817 I've done with Fur Elise a while ago and proceeded with many other songs. If you just started piano I think you should skip the 2nd part for later. if the song is love of you life keep grinding it, just need 2x time of the 1st part. Be more relax persistence is the key ;)
@@CW-bl1hk thank you for the advice:)
Beautifully stated! I hear that as well! 💔
@@shodanart honestly that moment of pulling away the pedal... so subtle but it got me. I'll be using that detail in my own performances :-)
Incredibly soothing and peaceful. This song brings back so many memories. The player clearly has so much passion into his performance. Gotta love it!!!
A Steinway & Sons piano & Lang Lang is a performance that is incredible.
Simply the most moving interpretation we could ask for pray for these great men!
Best version of Fur Elise I have heard.

i love lang-lang's EXPRESSION OF EVERY NOTE !!!!!!!!!!
Melody just flows from his fingers like a flow of clear water stream. I think Maestro Beethoven himself would be pleased with this performance. This is, the BEST performance I have ever heard. Magnificent.
Each key is played so smoothly and paced so well I just can’t handle it ❤️
I love heavy dubstep, but something about the way this is played just moves you to the core, the emotion brought on by the passion within the pianist just…makes sense, beautiful
For me this is a perfect tempo which he communicates without drama. 10/10
Lang Lang is a master at taking simple pieces and elevating them to a whole different dimension of beauty and grace
That piano is quite literally the most beautiful thing I’ve seen today😍
He’s pouring his Heart and soul when he plays! Breathtaking!!
I love you Lang Lang! You bring so much soul to this piece! ❤️❤️❤️
Am glad you feel that way❤️🎹⚡️
Lang lang I play piano to
This is a song written for the performer more than the audience. While it is not the most impressive or difficult piece, it's pure joy to play.
Lang Lang’s whole being flows with the music into the piano. The piece is played with such respect leaving out all other distractions.
This rendition is absolutely stunningly beautiful
He's here to take Fur Elise back to its place when the XXX Got Talent contestant played it in the most sacrilegious way 👍.
Mei Yen Wong Yes!!! Sacrilegious! This is real Ling Ling
Golden Buzzer for me
I recently started playing this piece and I did some research on it it and the woman he was writing this to was actually called Therese. Lang Lang is such an inspiring person. Beethoven is probably ecstatic listening to talented people like Lang Lang playing his legendary piece.
Love Lang Lang's interpretation of Fur Elise! Have always wondered why so many pianists rush through this beautiful beauuuuuuutiful piece of music...
Oh my gosh this is superb!! I can actually see Elise in front of him, totally in sync with Beethoven’s soul. His fingers are caressing her body with passion, tenderness and pain.
I’ve never seen anyone played this piece with this depth of interpretation.
Yeah, it's almost as if the piano is called Elise.
Goofy
😊😊
You are so god damn pretentious.
what?!?!?!?
This is true mastery, I am rediscovering 'For Elise'. Yes, it has been overplayed all over pop culture, still this piece is undeservedly spurned by most concertists.
For me, personally, this version is deeply moving. Thank you, Lang Lang
Like the water running down the creek, like a feather floating away in the air...Bravo!
Extraordinary this pianist from so much searching finally found someone who practically executes the piano perfection.
Ive been playing piano for a while now, and so am very familiar with Fur Elise
but listening to this just makes me feel like its my first time.... the feeling of wonder and amazement is there..... so amazing.
He doesn’t just play the song perfectly but he also feels the music as well. This make the whole experience of the song more enjoyable.
Ineffable feeling - no other words are needed.IMHO😮
My favorite pianist. So many talented people from incredible China.
Glad this is more about music and emotions than showing off mechanical skills like you often hear in so-called advanced versions. Bravo.
