5:33 actually magura says that the mt5 and mt7 brake calipers are a little different. the mt7 bite a little earlier than the mt5 so they have a lil more braking power
good on you doin it yourself, i learned mostly everything about cars by research an nuttin up with some new tools, best way to go. on another note im ready to cop a sur ron and Luna is out of stock, fuckin fantastic!
All the way from London, love your videos bro you’ve made me want to go out and get a Surron now 🔥.. Since you’ve had the 72V battery would you say the range isn’t as good because there’s more power?
Nice...my Red Machine needs the Same :) but i need the Magura mt5estop for the braking light........OK thats my next Upgrade but first i Change the ugly headlight ;)
What's good bro nice vid as always letting us kno what's good did these magura come with bake pads or do we ha e to buy them separately and also do u kno if they can work with Lunas rainbow looking rotor please hit me back ASAP thanks 💥💥💯💯✊🏿
Hey, how about the 2nd cable on the stock setup, I’m guessing the brake sensor, do you have to do anything to spoof the controller when you disconnect those?
So what happens then with the regen programming etc when ya swap out the stock brakes? That shit is all programeable some other way? And then i noticed , yer display is gone. It doesn't need it?
@@vesc007 they got a little better over time but still wasn’t the best it might have been a user install issue cause this was my first time with anything like this but imma probably find some others that may work better bc my buddy kinda crashed and broke one🥲
@surron Do you know what causes that shuddering sound and sensation when you're slamming on the MT5s? Mine do the same thing and I can't get a straight answer.
Remove the brake caliper, out of the way, DO NOT squeeze the brake lever. Spin the wheel, check the rotor for warp-bent rotor. A bent brake rotor will cause a lot of noise issues. If the caliper is bolted on slightly crooked, it can do the same thing. After installing the caliper, loosen the two bolts a 1/4 turn so the caliper can slightly "float" on the mounts. Spin the wheel, and gently pull the lever to stop the wheel. Slightly tighten each caliper bolt, then do the same thing again, tighten the caliper bolts completely, this should align the caliper. Sometimes the brake hose will have some hose twist tension that can cause the caliper to be slightly crooked using this method.
Real Bike Shops would care enough to help replace the brakes or fix them. Any shop not doing that is creating bikes that are unsafe by allowing them to leave the shop with no brakes. ruclips.net/video/ELy90zinLeM/видео.htmlsi=UyQGkTWpPpYSROK5&t=183 So to me those are not bike shops if they do not have respect for the bikes, riders, and people who are around. They would have taken 0 risk installing brakes for you and would have gave everyone around you less risk. It does not take rocket science to figure this out and to disregard the above facts is why riders will fall, bikes would become less safe and people who sell bikes etc would have no jobs. Cant replace the brakes cause they could be at fault. They created a fault by not correcting a issue known to you and now known to them shops. Also whats the point in a bike shop if it cant fix simple bike problems. Its not like you came in there with something that is uncommon. Unless this bike shop does not commonly fix bike brakes... then to me its just not a real bike shop. Wonder if they would say the same thing for installing hand grips etc. Its like they lack common sense of what a bike shop is yet own and run one.... Hard to believe that a real bike shop with real people that care about people, bikes and other riders out there would not help.
why don't you consider using Shimano's hydraulic brakes rather than using Magura? Shimano's brake force by far is stronger while Magura is more on modulation. don't you think so?
Damn bro seeing this in 4/12/24 is wild bro he made such a glow up, SURRONSTER is just the best
