To be fair, the Skrulls had attempted to invade Earth multiple times before. Secret Invasion was simply the most successful, despite it ultimately failing in the end.

The whole "scrulls turned cow" thing is actually a surprisingly well known fact among Comic-fans. That having been said, this DID serve as a long overdue rehashing of some well buried (somewhere in the back of my mind) Story facts on secret Invasion I for me...
i started marvel comics this year and i do know what happened to the skrulls
and now seeing it be the reason for secret invasion is insane

Let's not forget Electro who was responsible for Breakout that happened in the Raft was agreement with Skrull agent who would later take Elektra's identity. Also Black Goliath's death was in the hands of the Skrulls after Ragnarok clone was tampered with to ensure their invasion didn't fail.

I hope the MCU Secret Invasion movie doesn't suck. This story has a lot of potential, it could even introduce Galactus as the new overarching big bad villain.
Well it ain't a movie but a 6 episode miniseries, and might not include a lot of superheroes, so... don't expect anything like the comic
