It's actually not too far-fetched for Hitler.
Need I remind everyone about the magic pocket watch containing Hitler's soul from Supernatural? The Hollow Earth theory? Nazi Zombies? Nazis are always associated with magic to some degree. I guess the Thuul Occult Society is just way too interesting to pass up when one needs a 1940's plot device.

Yeah, but this is the comics business so no one stays dead forever.
The idea is Stephan had the means to save Wong's life; and if Stephan withheld that from him, he'd basically be killing Wong. Stephan had sworn never to withhold treatment from his patients; that was the titular "Oath". After West died, his spirit reminded him of that oath before departing; something our dear friend, Noah Sterling, conveniently left out.

Read the story online(sorry Marvel you'll get your money don't worry), Benedict Cumberbatch said that story was one of the ones he read in preparation for the movie and its obvious why. Honestly its one of my favorite Marvel stories, really highlights his both his weakness and his strength's. During that story he faces demons that slew multiple Sorcerer Supremes' but proves why he the Earth's and this dimension's greatest champion. Actually West's motivations where a bit more genuine then the video would lead you to believe. I cant quote it directly, but the argument was if something comes out that can cure everything and everybody lives for 100-150 years where are you going to put them? How are you going to deal with this sudden influx of 100 yo people in perfect health, what kind of drain would that be on society, on nature, on the planet?
Also the kiss between Night Nurse and Dr. Strange...That ever go anywhere relationship wise?
But then again, that argument could be used for medicin in general. Like, why give medicin to the old, that can't contribute to society? Why is he a Dr. if he believe that philosophy? :)
+Jens Danquah Well I mean simple health care is one thing, giving some one with the flu a shot, or the common cold some pills, but eradicating all cancer, Alzheimer's, bone disease, etc is on a much diffent sca;e. Not saying I agree or he was in the right or in anyway justified for any of his actions but he had somewhat good intent. It wasn't just the evil corporate plot.
Also the Ancient one is a complete dick for training West behind Strange's back, and then not telling him for 20 years. Strange has talked to the Ancient one in Astral form many times, you would think just once he could have mentioned it.
The relationship between Night Nurse and Dr. Strange didn't work out in the end. He also broke up with his long-time love Clea, the niece of Dormammu.
It's worse than that; think of Panacea as a miracle drug. Corporations would try to corner the market on it, and crime and war would increase exponentially!

@@IronIsKing Wong would have died then and there without the panacea; and Wong didn't even had a say in it because he was unconscious. Anyone Strange could have saved by replicating the serum would have had a chance! If Strange with held it from Wong; he might as well have been killing him himself! He'd never be able to live with himself knowing that he would have basically murdered Wong!
Also, seriously, replicating the serum would cause more problems than it would solve. First of all, there's the question of whether it's even possible to replicate. Second, there's the question of time; how long would it take to make enough for the whole world, and how many people would die before even one batch is ready? Third, again, consider the greed.
Corporations would try to monopolize it and charge outrageous prices.
Criminal Organization leaders like Kingpin, Red Skull, and Green Goblin would try to deprive their enemies of it while keeping it for themselves to effectively make themselves immortal.
Even Punisher would probably make raids to destroy the serum to keep it away from criminals so he can continue killing them.
Ultron would also probably want to destroy it too in order to keep the "imperfection" from staying alive.
Whole nations and entire races would war over it. Magneto may want it to be solely for mutants, Namor for Atlantis, Maximus for Inhumans (save for his brother, Black Bolt, of course), and Dr. Doom for Latveria. And what of the Kree, the Skrulls, the Shi'ar, the Badoon, or even the Chitauri; don't you think they'd want it?
Lastly, what of the Asgardians, Olympians, Eternals, The Elders of the Universe, as well as the various demonic and cosmic beings of Marvel? Don't you think they'd take mass production and use of the Panace as mortals trying to climb to their level, thus "defying" them?
TL; DR The entire Marvel Universe would go to war over a mass produced Panacea. Millions would die, and there would be pretty much nothing that the heroes who want to end the conflict could do except destroy all of the Panacea. It may be the mythical cure for all mortal ills, but it's not something to be controlled by mortal hands.

Most patients existing at the time would have still had a chance without it; Wong wouldn't have! Stephen wouldn't be able to live with himself if he left Wong to die, because he basically would have killed him himself by withholding the means to save him!

There's just a slew of problems that could come with mass producing panacea! It may be the mythical cure for all mortal ills, but it's not something meant for mortal hands! Many mortals would abuse it, potentially leaving the Marvel Universe in a worse state than ever!

@@Vitallor Yeah, well, they seem to be trying to add some comic book complexity to the MCU; but it hasn't been going so well, from what I heard. What works for comics doesn't always work for movies. Yes, they can alter things to better suit the audience; but their are just some concepts that work more easily in comics than in movies.
Also, sometimes they alter things beyond recognition. For example, Thor Ragnarok takes more inspiration from Planet Hulk than the Ragnarok event in the comics. Hulk got sidelined in his own story, taking on the Silver Surfer's roll from the original story while Thor takes Hulk's. Also, Hela is LOKI'S daughter, not Odin's. Even the comics got that right; why bungle up mythology even more? Furthermore, she didn't break Thor's hammer in the original Ragnarok; it was destroyed in a fight with a bunch of Thor's enemies assembled by Loki, each wielding a copy of Mjolnir made by Surtur after Loki stole Mjolnir's mold from Eitri, one of the dwarves that forged the original Mjolnir. Lastly, it was actually Mistress Death (Marvel's grim reaper) who perceived that Life and Death were out of balance on favor of life and thus commissioned Thanos to wipe out half of its life, though collecting the Infinity Stones and making the gauntlet to wield them was Thanos' idea as part of a ploy to win Mistress Death's favor and rule alongside her as romantic partners and equals.
They never adapted this in the first place

Not confusing enough, I wanted more about the mind and dimensions how it worked, I like the idea of dr strange, and cumberbatch is a great choice for the role, but it feel like they have oversimplified it and just poor writing. I was not impressed. According to my they should have involved experts in meditation, physics and philosophy. Buddhists had a role in the star wars making, about the force, and look how successful that was. But thats me

Also, the movies swapped the colors around. In the comics, cartoons, and video games; the colors are:
Power = Red
Time = Orange
Reality = Yellow
Soul = Green
Mind = Blue
Space = Purple
I don't know why they changed it for the movies; they just made things more confusing for people who haven't read the comics.

After M.o.M. This would actually be a perfect direction for Doctor Strange to go in the MCU. Idk what they’re doing with Clea but The Oath is one of my favorite Dr. Strange stories so I’d love to see it on the big screen. Plus it’d bring Rosario Dawson back to the MCU as night nurse.
Given that the only way Strange becomes Sorcerer Supreme again is if Wong dies... this story might end differently than in the comic.

This is the comics, not the MCU. The MCU bungled up the colors of the Infinity Stones for no reason; and because consistency by way of the excuse called reality warping, the Infinity Stones in the comic were recently altered to mach the colors in the MCU. This was before then; as such, the green gem Strange had was the SOUL Stone, NOT the Time Stone. That's right, once again, the MCU LIED to you; and this time, they also altered the original source materiel just so they could make it technically NOT a to the "Bwodder moovy awdiense" anymore.
