I copied this sewing caddy from Jean Turelove • BEGINNER SEWING CADDY ... Supplies 3 pieces of cardboard 10 3/4" wide x 11" Tall 4 different colors fabric.
Thanks so much for giving the shout out to the original creator right at the beginning of your tutorial. That is exactly the way to give appropriate credit. Well done for that (big cheer & hand clapping!) We makers must do this on RUclips to keep our own integrity - it only makes you look more professional. Hope you established a nice connection through this with another creator!
It's funny because when I first saw it, I didn't see the pins in the pin cushion. I actually thought the padded piece was to prop up your tablet or phone for people who read their pattern instructions online or wanted to sew along with tutorials. I may have to make one because i haven't been able to find anything l like to hold up my tablet. I agree with you that the taller one is preferable and the idea for a pocket on the back is an excellent one as it would be a great place to store my tablet when I wasn't using it. I'll have to think about which items I would like to use it for before I sew it because I actually have a bamboo "bathroom" caddy that I keep on my desk to hold many of my sewing tools. This was a great tutorial. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Nadine, I believe it can be used for a tablet or phone too. I've been liking it so far on my ironing station. One viewer thought clear vinyl for a back pocket would be great to put pattern instructions. :) Thanks so much for taking time to watch! Have a great week.
You're welcome, one of my viewers suggested using clear vinyl for the back pocket, so you can read pattern instructions while sewing it. Awesome idea! Thanks for watching Vickie :)
Thank you, Katinka I love my hot glue gun. Hand sewing hursts my hands anymore. Thanks so much for taking the time to watch me. Have an awesome week!!! xxx
Well I know what I am going to adding to my sewing project list this week.....THANK YOU..........I made one using the plastic picture frame (like you got thrifting) but it was to light and one bump and it would fall over. This caddy offers so much more pockets to keep items organized. Have you thought about making one out of your vinyl scraps?
Hi Sophie, no I haven't thought about using vinyl, interesting idea :) If you give it a try please share! Thanks so much for watching :) Have a great week.
I agree, it's very useful. I like the idea that Glenda gave about the clear pocket in the back for holding the instructions while sewing. Please share your makes with us on my FB group. I love seeing what everyone else is making. :) Have a great week Karen. xxx

Yes, it's important to give credit where credit is due. It's always fun to connect with other creators.
I made two. However, I used notebook binder instead or cardboard for my frame, this was 4 yrs ago and they look great to this day.
Where did you buy the cardboard for frame at? I had fun making this. :) Thanks so much for watching.
God Bless You, you are special also!

Thanks Lynn, and Glenda just took it up a notch for sewers.
A clear vinyl back pocket would be great for pattern instructions while sewing a pattern. Great video!
What an awesome idea Glenda! That would really be helpful, l've seen stands for cookbooks like that. Thanks!
Definitely adding this to my ever growing list of things I hope to make one day!! Loved the fabrics you used!!
Awesome, when you make it add a clear pocket on the back, so you can put the pattern instruction in it when sewing it. Thanks for watching ;)
