Very nicely Done!! I love your choice of fabric. It's so colourful to brighten up any room. I like how you lined it instead of just leaving it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful sewing machine cover!! Very easy to follow you. Good Job xo. P/s... My biggest dilemma as a not very experienced seamstress is, what is the simplest method to know how much fabric I need especially when the fabric has a pattern?

My husband retired and two weeks later our son moved in with us. Before retiring, my husband just wanted peace and quiet when he came home from work, so that is what I was used to. Now since he isn’t working he talks all the time. I know only too well what an adjustment a spouse retiring can mean. If I can offer any advice it would be to try to interest your husband in a hobby. I decided for my 65th birthday, I wanted to buy a machine that was manufactured the year I was born. I thought I was buying one that was in good condition. Let’s just say “NOT so much!” Anyway, my husband started helping me work on getting it to run better, and he seems to have caught the vintage machine bug. He keeps encouraging me to buy more machines. I know we are going to have to start selling them before too long, but he really does enjoy taking a machine that looks like it should be taken to the landfill and making it run and sew like a dream. He used to hate going to the thrift store, now he heads straight to the used machines. To be fair, he found a Singer 401 for $15, so I can’t fault him on that. It’s fair to say my husband’s focus has changed because God worked circumstance for his good. I will pray that God sends your husband a new hobby! I know God works in mysterious ways, so it’s no telling what He might send your husband’s way, but finding something fulfilling to do would be a blessing to you both. I’ll pray for you too as well. It does get easier; it just takes time to readjust to this new way of life.

How's your arm, has it gotten better? Have you been doing any crafting? I'll tell you having hubby home is exhaling! I will get use to in time, I'm sure. If not, he better find himself a hobby and get out of my hair. hehehe. You take care and thank you so much for leaving me a comment. Your friend from far away! ;) Blessings XXX
