I've just bought a serger and want to make a cover for it, I was sew happy to have found your tutorial. You have a very calm teaching style which is just what I need. Thank you sew much. Take Care ☺
Very nicely Done!! I love your choice of fabric. It's so colourful to brighten up any room. I like how you lined it instead of just leaving it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful sewing machine cover!! Very easy to follow you. Good Job xo. P/s... My biggest dilemma as a not very experienced seamstress is, what is the simplest method to know how much fabric I need especially when the fabric has a pattern?
TFS! Very pretty cover! I’m gathering up my courage to make a cover that I bought fabric for about 5 years ago. I might use it for the lining now & get something along the lines of yours. I love your bright and cheery fabric pattern & cover. ❤
Your sewing machine covers look amazing 🤩 it’s really gonna tie your sewing room all together w/ matching covers and I just love the fabric choice. Really brightens things up in your work space 🙌 did you make your iPad/iPhone holder as well?
That was a great tutorial Sherry, I’m really going to make a cover for my machine, mine has a hard cover but I really don’t like hard covers I’d rather have a pretty one. That trash bin is a fabulous idea, now I just need a suitable box🤔 but I will find one. You make a great teacher and I can follow easily. Thank you for this .Hugs Hazel x
Hazel, you are so kind to me! Thank you, for all the sweet encouraging words and for watching. Have a great weekend, and let see what you sew, you can post to my FB group if you do facebook. granny's sowing room. Have a wonderful weekend. xxx
Thanks for the info! I bought this thinking I could use it for bag making, but it's not that great of foam, so thought this was a good way to get read of it. :)
@@GrannysSowingRoom Thank you for responding. I ended up sewing on my machine like you did and then I surged over it after for the finished edge. Yes it was challenging. I'm so happy with my finished cover!
I love that you reused the box for garbage & made it pretty! Great job but you can’t use it like you would a plastic can. So what are you going to use it for?
I throw all my threads and scrap fabric in it just like a plastic can, it just matches my machine covers. Thanks so much for watching :) Have a blessed weekend!
Great tutorial Sherry. The covered box is a great idea, it would be perfect to hold patterns in as well. Thanks!🇨🇦👏
Thank you, Linda, yes it would be great for that too. :)
I really like both the machine covers and the box/trash can cover. I want to make them and now need to find fabrics as beautiful as yours.
Hi Kathy, thank you, I purchase this fabric from Hobby Lobby. Thanks for watching.

look great, Sherry!
Thank you Jane :)
Love this tutorial. That outside fabric is so pretty! Where did you get that?
Thank you, I purchased at Hobby Lobby
Pellon makes fusible foam (both one- and two-sided). It works great, irons on tight--no spraying, pinning, or walking foot needed.

Love your tutorial. Going to make one today after watching your video. Just wondering if you could surge the top on like you did the bottom?
You could but the corners are tricky turning them. I felt I had more control sewing them.

Do you ever use fusible foam?
yes, but I believe it makes wrinkles in the fabric.
