    Great tutorial Sherry. The covered box is a great idea, it would be perfect to hold patterns in as well. Thanks!🇨🇦👏

    I really like both the machine covers and the box/trash can cover. I want to make them and now need to find fabrics as beautiful as yours.

    Very nicely Done!! I love your choice of fabric. It's so colourful to brighten up any room. I like how you lined it instead of just leaving it. Thank you for sharing your beautiful sewing machine cover!! Very easy to follow you. Good Job xo. P/s... My biggest dilemma as a not very experienced seamstress is, what is the simplest method to know how much fabric I need especially when the fabric has a pattern?

    TFS! Very pretty cover! I’m gathering up my courage to make a cover that I bought fabric for about 5 years ago. I might use it for the lining now & get something along the lines of yours. I love your bright and cheery fabric pattern & cover. ❤

    That was a great tutorial Sherry, I’m really going to make a cover for my machine, mine has a hard cover but I really don’t like hard covers I’d rather have a pretty one. That trash bin is a fabulous idea, now I just need a suitable box🤔 but I will find one. You make a great teacher and I can follow easily. Thank you for this .Hugs Hazel x

    Pellon makes fusible foam (both one- and two-sided). It works great, irons on tight--no spraying, pinning, or walking foot needed.

      Thanks for the info! I bought this thinking I could use it for bag making, but it's not that great of foam, so thought this was a good way to get read of it. :)

    Love your tutorial. Going to make one today after watching your video. Just wondering if you could surge the top on like you did the bottom?

    • @GrannysSowingRoom
      @GrannysSowingRoom  8 месяцев назад

      You could but the corners are tricky turning them. I felt I had more control sewing them.

      @@GrannysSowingRoom Thank you for responding. I ended up sewing on my machine like you did and then I surged over it after for the finished edge. Yes it was challenging. I'm so happy with my finished cover!

    I love that you reused the box for garbage & made it pretty! Great job but you can’t use it like you would a plastic can. So what are you going to use it for?

    • @GrannysSowingRoom
      @GrannysSowingRoom  8 месяцев назад +1

      I throw all my threads and scrap fabric in it just like a plastic can, it just matches my machine covers. Thanks so much for watching :) Have a blessed weekend!
