This model is a miniature imitation of a clock with a delicate carved body and a clever mechanism that sets its gears in motion and gets the hands of the clock moving. Beautiful lace-like ornaments of the Steampunk Clock include floral designs, the Sun, stars, and the Moon.
Beautiful gearing of the model includes an original 90-degree angle coupling you can observe when the mechanism is working. Along with a smart gears connection, Ugears engineers implemented another interesting feature: the unsynchronized clock hands sitting on the same axle. Each of them moves with its own pace.

I started buying wood models just after Christmas 2023 from amazon and love the UGEARS models even if some a bu=it expensive. Would prefer liquid wax instead of the candle you get as can be awkward applying on some parts.
There are other companies that do 3d wood models but not a fan as I bought a steam loco and some pieces were too thin and snapped.

@MOS6510Models yes definitely but can also be upsetting when pieces break. I suffer with adult form of autism and also stress and been told these models can be good ro relax but not too sure if honest
My stepdaughter (24!) loves these. She also uses different wood stains (and metal colour pens in appropriate places) on the various pieces to give it some depth. Some are very “Steampunk-y”.

Ive made one wooden kit in the past but it was a different company and they were fun to make

think these kits are coming into market thick and fast with the laser cutting tech getting better
