- The Gigabyte X570 Gaming X is the most affordable X570 powered motherboard Gigabyte has to offer. At 170 USD it ought to handle anything from 4 to 16 Cores CPUs.
To do so, Gigabyte had to remove everything and anything which had nothing to do with performance delivery.
And power it does deliver! 12 50 amps Power Stages, 5 True CPU phases, and premium cooling components, it can truly compete with its more expensive siblings!
I will regret the complete absence of the 10 Gb USB plugs and a poor audio Codec choice.

Laurent's Choice Thanks. I got this board a few months ago. It wasn't my first choice but I grabbed it in a great deal, to begin with it had some issues with memory overclocking but a recent bio update fixed that. Working almost flawlessly now. And I'm glad to have an x570 board now with the recent Ryzen news as I think I will keep it long term and update the cpu and faster nvme drive in a few years

So technically this is a Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite on a diet. If you dont mind the lack of usb ports, wifi, and mediocre audio then it is basically a good Aorus Elite motherboard.
it's great job laurent , this video is the best I've seen. between the terms of visual presentation like lighting and focus plus instruction on screen graphics.

Best review on this motherboard I have ever seen! I was an early adopter of this board and the computer I was upgrading from made it uniquely qualified for the type of build I was putting together. Frankly, combined with front I/O I think there are enough usb ports. Combined with my monitor that has a usb switch integrated, I have plenty of usb ports with several left over. For me the deal breaker with this board would be the audio; but, I happen to own a high end Sound Blaster card. I also run dual GPUs. I have a 1070ti triple slot in the primary slot, a 760 in the second gpu slot, and the sound card in the final slot. Just barely enough slots for what I need! I use the 1070ti for gaming, large renders, and computational modeling. I use the 760 for PhysX (not really common anymore), offloading smaller renders, and most commonly as an encoder for when I'm streaming. None of those applications are enough to saturate the 4x slot and I have not experienced any bottlenecks despite using a 2700x in this board. Given the specific applications of my hardware and having a sound card made this board the obvious choice for me! Despite not having 10gig usb or usb c (both commodities and not necessities IMO), this board is quite future proof in my scenario!

I own this board and it works also with the 5000 series, the cpu i have installed in it is the 5600x.

I’m always surprised about vrms.... since the x299( not sure it was this serie) Scandale on vrms temps, this is the most overkill pieces on motherboards and I think this is mostly because people now knows what it is so it became a marketing thing... like the crosshair VIII formula... but in this case, it’s just madness

Speaker... ur good. It's more when recording that u might find issues if ur house is not grounded.

Just get a pcie sound card and a 10 gigabit usb and USB type c board then you are set. Board is top notch.
Question: TUF Gaming x570 plus, or this one? For a 3700x and 16 Gb of ram 3200. They both cost the same in my country
I would go TUF , you have a few more features (USB 3.2 2nd gen, EZ debugger, RGB, 6 layer PCB, etc...)

Would you recommend this over a B450 Aorus model? I have the opportunity to pick this X570 up for a significant discount but still about $50 more than the B450.

@@edward9210 Yep. So far so good. Paired it with some 3600 memory and Ryzen 5 3600. If nothing else it will ensure an upgrade path in the future. I originally thought this board only supported Stereo audio however it does support 5.1 as the 3 rear outputs double as speaker ports and mic/line in so that was a nice surprise. Other than software being a bit questionable I have no real complaints thus far.

Can you do a review of the MSI x570 APRO? I'm thinking of getting either that or the Asus X570 prime p, or thr Gaming X.
why are the dimm slot channels shown as such, I own this mobo and according to the manual the channels are as follows {channel2B}{channel1B}{channel2A}{channel 1A} this layout is the standard for all modern mobos. If you only had 2 sticks of ram and plugged them in beside each other as your video shows the channels configured your 2 sticks would be running in single channel reducing performance.
Hi there. I had this question more than you would believe.
the memory is fed to the CPU through 2 (dual channel) or 4 (quad channel) and independent channels.
Each channel bandwidth add to each other.
So basically having 16Gb of ram on a single channel is only half the bandwidth fed to the CPU than 8GB + 8GB on a dual channel.
First 2 DIMMS (from the CPU) are the first memory channel. The Grayer DIMMs are the Master slot, (or usually written on your board PCB as A2 and B2).
These master Dimms will enable each memory channel.
So having 8GB + 8GB on dimms A1+A2 (only channel1) is only half the bandwidth (bottleneck) than :
8GB+8GB on A2 + B2 (master dimms of channel 1 and channel2).
As for the what the manual actually says for this motherboard Page 10 :
CHANNEL A : DDR4_A1, DDR4_A2
CHANNEL B : DDR4_B1, DDR4_B2
It also notes :
Dual Channel mode with two memory modules, we recommend that you install them in the DDR4_A2
and DDR4_B2 sockets

dude... if your having that much of a budget for a rig, don't go cheap on the motherboard. My recommendation is n X570Aorus Elite or an X570Aorus Pro. (P.S. get a decent powersupply. I can recommend an Bitfenix formula one 750w)

Hey can i ask something? I just finished building a PC with this mother. It switches on but won't send signal to my monitor. I've tried everything. Could It be that i need to update BIOS? I thaught this mother was ready for a Ryzen third generation. Also i dont know how to update It. The motherboard box says qflash but i dont see any button. Thanks once again

Agreed. But u can always add a fan splitter (Google it). Up to 5 for connector.
i have this motherboard and i have no idea where the power sw cord plugs into on it, its from my cases cords
I'm a bit confused on the hybrid fan header thing. Does it mean I can plug any of my case fans and CPU fan on either 4 of those "hybrid" fan headers?
My case fans are 3 Deepcool Windblade 120mm (at 2 front in, 1 rear out configuration), and the wires are pretty short. I wonder if I can plug them all without needing a splitter or a fan hub.

Get it i have it with 3600...awesome it stay cold..max my chipset temp is 50° with low fan curve ..from bios..if iset it to max never go more then 40°

I have this motherboard paired with a ryzen 2600x and 2 16gb ddr4 3200 ram. The problem im having is that this mobo wont allow me to oc my cpu (just say ez oc not available) even after bios update (F12e) and my ram are reading at 2400mh instead of 3200mhz. Can you help me?
Enable XMP, and to over clock you need to allow overclocking in the bios. These issue are not board related.
@@KeepersWay i contacted mobo manufacturer and they said just do a manual oc by pressing the +/‐ on key pad (stupid me) but now im having issue with getting my ram to run at 3200mhz...i set the xmp to 3200mhz but that cause the pc to turn on and off repeatedly then it set it back to 2100mhz, so i played with the voltage and was only able to go as high as 2800mhz with out it crashing (sad).
@@JB_Cinema how many dims are you using ? What you should do is install 2 dims in slots 2a 2b. Go to the settings option before exiting and reset to optimized defaults. When you turn on the computer will reset 1-3 times that's ok it's memory learning it is not harmful.
@@JB_Cinema turn off and install the extra 2 dims. Boot to bios see that it's identifying all 4 dims then. Restart and let the pc boot. Now turn off go to bios again and enable XMP.
You can't jump from 2 to 4 dims and xmp without memory learning also update to the lastest bios which is 30 I believe

What about vrm temperatures
I did mention them on the VRM part of the video . In the first 3 minutes of memory serves well.
But they were very good both in stock clock and overclocking. Watch for more details :)
