Great video man, it was just yesterday that I discovered how fun lash can be and I have already made game changing ults, this video will help me even more, thank you.
Hey, my key binds are really odd since I’m left handed. I use the arrow keys and the DEL, END, PGDN, etc. keys right above them. I would just suggest pick keys that feel at least somewhat comfortable, the rest of the way you just practice and get used to it
Would you be able to link FishCake’s Twitch? Can’t find it for some reason. Great video by the way! Would love to see some gameplay videos in the future 👍🏼
I messed around in the sandbox and please correct me if I'm wrong but I think there's a much easier way to kill forward momentum. If you hold s and the the key in the direction you want to go, and look forward the entire time, you dash straight to the side. Seems a lot less finicky than having to change where you're looking.
ok after further testing this works but only when you have already dashed forward, if you do it but youre not going max speed you end up dashing back a little bits
you dont actually need to move your camera to avoid the diagonal dash get on zip, crouch, dash forward, then dash while holding a backward diagonal input
I just can't see taking 1.2 seconds off of grapple with superior cooldown imbue getting more value than the 11/5 you can get off your ult, especially with how plentiful ult opportunities are with Lash. You're usually getting the 11 second reduction at the time you buy it, since you're going to need 17-19 ability points unless you bee-line t5 ult upgrade (for some reason). The opportunity cost of being more careful with grapples feels much lower than the opportunity cost of being more careful with your ult. Sure, the 1.2 seconds are gonna add up since it's a charge-based ability, but I personally find myself waiting for my ult to come back up way more than I find myself waiting for a charge of grapple.
I get where you're coming from, and I agree that there is a good amount of value in imbuing the ult instead. I just like to imbue my 2 because I make a lot of risky movements around the map and find that it helps me in certain games. I don't avoid imbuing my ult or anything though -- sometimes I imbue it when I feel like I'm playing a game where I need to ult a lot for my team Edit: you can also imbue your ult with Mystic Reverb if you want, it's not bad
I was trying to reduce the cooldown on my ult instead lately and it ... doesn't feel as good as you'd think. Having mobility with just how much you use your tether jump it really can be felt.
@@dotapazappy It's probably just a playstyle/lobby difference. In my not high MMR games fights are happening around me constantly, and those extra seconds on my ult often let me extract some value from an otherwise bad fight
What is your opinion on when to buy Cold Front? I've been buying it a lot but I'm not really sure how much milage I'm getting from it specifically. Also, what kind of skill order are we gonna do this patch? I've been doing something like 1 2 1 1 3 3 3 after unlocking the skills obviously
Cold front is solid because of the slow, but I personally think the other spirit items are just more viable and useful and you'll need the slots later for Reverb/Kevlar. But with that being said, if you're snowballing it can be really useful to make sure people don't get away from you at all. In terms of skill order the 1 2 1 1 3 3 3 that you mentioned is good, but depending on the state of the game sometimes it might be better to max 4 before 3 just to have it up a lot more often.
bro your guide is really helpful. I do have some question, its about your skill build on the guide, you go rush max on the 1st ability, isn't it worth to take the -20s cd on your 2nd ability before maxing the first? or you will lose some power spike if you do take the 20s cd ? cause personally I feel like the -20 s cd is really worth to take but I want to know about your perspective about that. also if you are willing, may I get your discord or something to chat with about deadlock? hope you will answer this, really appreciate it. thanks
Hey, discord is imp123, feel free to add me. The skill order is kind of negligible depending on the situation. I do sometimes put a point into both 2 and 3 before maxing 1 just for the cd and the slow on the 3, but if you can max 1 quickly it's the best for efficient clearing/high damage
@@lordvon_3490 Hey yeah go for it, I'm planning on making a channel discord soon and putting the link out there. It'll help with communicating with viewers and answering questions faster. Here is the link for now though it's really not complete at all: discord.gg/WuF9DvYYqs
Superior Stamina (item) allows you to air dash twice and jump twice in the air, it's really good on Lash because you can reset your dashes and jumps by using your 2 so you can technically do it again and again so long as you have stamina
Can I ask what the logic is on headshot booster? Isn't it only one instance of 45 bonus damage every 7 seconds? Ofc it's a 500 item but I don't see how it gives more damage on aggregate compared to basic magazine, or mystic shot which is roughly similar and a little more expensive but ofc scales far better. Excellent guide though, thank you. I'd love to see a guide on playing from behind to match your farming guide which is more or less playing from ahead, too!
Hey, the logic on headshot booster is that you're bound to hit a headshot once every 7 seconds, and people like to tuck/hide after trades in lane which allows for it to come back up and have a lot of effectiveness in the lane phase despite only being 45 bonus damage. When you think about it though, 45 damage is a lot if you repeat it constantly, especially because some characters only have about 500-550 hp. In terms of aggregate damage, Basic Magazine is higher for "DPS" but that's only if you can actually dump your whole mag on someone, and more often than not you really only get to poke/shoot your enemy a few times before they slide away and hide. Mystic shot is usually a definite buy on Lash since you build a lot of spirit damage on him, and since it's a 1250 item I think it's in a league of its own. Thanks for the support!
@@avgjoe2 Sure that makes sense, but it procs on creeps too though so it's not realistically every seven seconds, no? With BM giving more flat extra weapon damage I just imagine that'd be more consistent, that's all. Unless you're specifically saving it for heroes and meleeing creeps in the meantime? Thanks for the reply
@@Annevel-ze6fb Personally I only buy it if I have lane priority (i.e. enemy laner is scared of me and letting me melee their creeps). If I don't have lane priority it will almost always be wasted on headshotting a creep instead so it's kinda pointless, better to buy High-Velocity Rounds in that case. But usually on Lash you will have lane priority since you can put out so much pressure early.
@@Annevel-ze6fb Actually scratch what I just said, it does *not* proc on creeps anymore so now you can buy it freely and not have to worry about wasting it :)

amazing guide but the item build in game is horrible, yes you give many many options there depending on the situation but there is no point in putting 90% of the shop in your build, you also sort the items by colour instead of order of purchase which is pointless. this doesnt help someone who is new to the hero and for someone who is experienced they know what to look up in the normal shop anyway. core items need to be separated from any other optional stuff.
Hey thanks for the comment. In that situation I would just recommend using the other more well known builds. That build is kind of just for me, it’s how my brain works and it saves me time by just having what I need in front of me. I do definitely agree that it’s a bit difficult to understand, but it was never made to be widely used - in my videos in general I recommend making your own builds once you understand the items/hero enough since everyone’s brain works differently in taking information in.
@@avgjoe2 for sure, i usually edit builds myself anyway to make it more streamlined and easier to follow, this was just meant as an advice to make your builds more accessible to people like me who still struggle with making decisions on the fly and need more hand holding. otherwise the way you structure your videos is amazing and going in depth into all of the items and situations is top tier.
If I edit down the videos and retake each part I could probably get it down a lot of time but I'm just not sure if it gets the point across without the authenticity honestly. I can definitely try to keep the next part of the Lash guide more succinct though
