    Thank you so much Productivity Game. I wouldn't gain this much of knowledge if i were to read the actual book because books contain so many ideas and it gets frustrating as i don't know what to focus on and so it gets boring causing me to stop reading halfway. I really hope you won't quit your awesome and helpful work because your videos delievers so much value.

      I had this book for years and threw it away recently. I had the same experience in which I would read half way through and just give up. The other day it sparked my interest again but I did not have the book, hence why I am here. He did a fantastic job explaining the book and the core message.

    Leaving an interesting point here,
    If we have to negotiate with irrational people or with only 1-dimension deals (like negotiating shares of a company), wouldn't we be in the Trench War position anyway right?

    These examples are either too contrived or assume that you're dealing with someone who's rational. Often there is no compromise that leaves the two sides satisfied. Life is often more messy and complicated.

      This summary goes over the first chapters of the book, the rest of the book is how to negotiate with people that don’t want to “play the game”.

      @@williamnation-dixon7743 I don't know if the two books disagree. This summary of Getting to Yes might have wanted to mention the BATNA, (Best Alternative to Negotiated Agreement) meanings that when you deal with irrational people you have other options.

    In a competitive job market, it's tough to negotiate. Unless you are at the top of your industry in terms of skill and experience, negotiation will not work well for you.

    This book is such pseudo intellectualism. Oh turns out there was a third option that negates the whole argument. She just wanted the lemon zest!! The reality is we want to know this to help us negotiate the car price, the raise, the house. How does this help us in any way?? "Consider their point of view" yeah great insight there. Lol

    This video is quite sexist, there is always men drawn and the only time women are mentioned is 1. A wife 2. A woman making a recipe (in the kitchen). You might have not noticed but its isn't nice at all.
