Thanks a lot because I was trying to put it on like a regular club but I'm like this is not going to work what the hell is wrong with me🤔, let me look on RUclips and see what's really going on and I came across your video which was wonderful thank you!😀👍🏾
Well ll the more they have to go thru , the better Yes they can cut the steering wheel But again it’s another loop they have to go thru more time Also there’s a a good chance if they dnt know that lock is there they wownt be prepared or just move to the next car ..
I have a Hyundai and got a free one from my police department. It came with two keys which I tried before installing it. After installing it and trying to unlock it, the first key didn’t work! I panicked and went and got the other key and it worked. That was enough for me, I’ll use it as just a visual deterrent and not lock it. Plus it’s a pain in the butt take off and put on, and very a dangerous interruption if you are trying to leave quickly. I’ll use it begrudgingly but will never lock it. That’s too much risk of being stranded.
@@nappssnapps2891 I ended up getting a better one from the police department, the bright yellow on that goes on the steering wheel. much better! I won't ever use the wheel to brake one again!
Hello, after watching your video I think it is very useful. I now have a new anti-theft car lock, which has higher anti-theft performance than the steering wheel lock. I hope to cooperate with you to promote it.❤
I believe the black end actually goes on the steering wheel because it is rubberized which will protect your steering wheel from getting scuffed up. But I think the lock will work in either orientation. Please see additional details here www.etrailer.com/Locks/Winner-International/WICL303RED.html
It lowers the likelihood essentially. Not every thief has every tool. You see some with reprogrammed keyfobs open the door.. Okay.. Then they need to hotwire it.. This takes a bit more skill but doable for some.. And finally.. They need to cut through your steering wheel with a saw. It is absolutely less likely they will have all three of these things ready to go unless they have targeting your car specifically. aka someone watching your parking habit.
I consider these & steering wheel locks nuisance deterrents. If it's a luxury vehicle, push to start, or on your cities top-10 most stolen make/models these aren't going to stop a determined thief, but if it's your daily and you have to park it outside your goal is to complicate and delay/annoy a potential thief so that they would rather move onto an easier vehicle than try and waste their time with yours. It's not the physical features that do their job, it's just the mere visual presence.
I purchased one of these on 6-11-24. I checked to make sure that the keys actually work in this device and they did so I have been using this device since I purchased it. Today on 6-17-24, I go out to my car to run some errands, as I begin to remove the lock, THE KEY NO LONGER WORKS. I would definitely stay away from this product.
The thieves already know how to steal stuff, cut through steering wheels, etc. I'm not saying anything that's a secret. A steering wheel lock is basically just a visual deterrent nothing more.
@@techtidbits7594 you don’t saw the steel lol. You simply saw one slit in the steering wheel and pull the clunky worthless steel off. Takes about 10-12 seconds
@@NenskiTrill Are you asking who would walk around with B&E tools? Obviously someone willing to steal a car. Mini sawzall from a backpack could cut that or the steering wheel in 30 secs, even the hacksaw would at least cut the steering wheel easily.
I think it's a good safety lock. Who wants to hacksaw anything. I would want to move on to the next car due to time.
Takes 10 seconds with a wire saw that fits in your pocket to saw through the steering wheel. One single slit and pull the thing off the wheel
😂😂
@@badazzanon7060this plus a steering wheel lock a kill switch and a alarm and boot should make it pretty difficult or maybe they have 💀 wish ?

Glad to help. Yes it goes under the brake pedal to the steering wheel.
Same here! But this video sorted it for me....
Your lock didn't say it's a "Steering wheel to brake lock when you bought it?!?! How did y'all buy this product without knowing what it's called?? Lol

Good point
Pull the starter fuse out of the car and they won’t go anywhere! Lol
Thank you!!!! 😂 I'm sitting here making plans with this club, and now, I'm going to pull that fuse too.. LOL!
@ZomZ gaming look in your fuse box under the hood. It will tell you which fuse it is. It’s a little gray box
That's exactly what I do
@Cb YOU SIR ARE A GENIUS !
Just learned this from my cousin who actually does this to her kia, had I known I probably would have my Hyundai but is so happy with my camry now
Thank you for an honest review

Yes it's probably only good as a visual deterrent
I agree. I have a really hard time locking it into place. Very frustrating
So you rather not lock it? You should still lock it because it is one extra step in protection

Well I bought it before I watched this. And since I bought it, it’s getting used.
Yes it's better than nothing

She's thinking of the original steering wheel locks

I heard it can be hard on the clutch. Not sure if its true. So I recommend the brake petal

Does it rattle? My current steering wheel lock rattles like crazy when not in use sitting on passenger seat or the floor.
Not enough that it ever bothered me.
@@techtidbits7594 Interesting because it rattles a lot in the video.
Lock it to the bottom of the seat
I tried that, it didn't work well in my particular car. Maybe it will work for your car.
Pull the pin out of the top of the brake pedal and the pedal will lift enough to remove that waste of money,
Didn't know that
The steering wheel is totally easy to cut through so this lock isn't good. No deterent
Why in the hell would you give them ideas?

what did you smoke?
Why? Do I look high in this video or something? 😂
@@techtidbits7594 Yes.
Pretty cool. Just as useless as the original club lol
Good review. If someone is a pro thief they can get past any deterrent. Depending on their competency level imo.

Wire saw small and easy. Fits in pocket

Worthless lock. All you gotta do is cut through the steering wheel.
Correct
Who walks around with a hacksaw?😂😂

The metal is not easy to cut as people think... besides,no time to do such... since thieves are always in a hurry to escape arrests
