    This was good,
    thanks! It would have been better if you showed yourself connected the wires.

    You can close the gap with a heat gun. Heat it with a heat gun then push it in place with a towel. Hold it until it’s cool, about 3-5 min. It will mold to the contour of your dash.

    I’ve been watching a bunch of videos on these installs and you’re the first I’ve seen using the riv-nut. 👍🏽
    Your music sounded like it’s from an 80’s montage 😃

    That is cool beans. Almost wonder if it could be put up top in the tray, that way when you have your phone attached to the vector bar the cord would be right there and not draping down the front of the dash.

      MSTrishRN Good idea. The wires dangling doesn't really bother me though!

    Cool install. In my Jeep, I have one in the front in place of my cigarette lighter as I don't smoke so just used that instead, and it only works when the ignition is on, and that is fine by me. On the rear, I have installed a double as well, but added a switch so I control when it is on or off and it won't kill the battery either as it is not 'on' or hot all the time.

    Make sure USB port draws no current by itself (offstate leakage for all you propeller heads)

    Thanks for this video.
    I'm wondering if I can add a new USB socket charger to my car and connect the new socket wires with the old socket wires as join connecting only negative and positive lines.
    I prefer to avoid the fuse box work because the fuse box is located in the front, and the new socket I'm looking to place will be next to the rear seat. 10 inch from the old socket charger

    I didn't know you were going to to remove your radio to the usg project .
    I'm interested in upgrading my radio. Can you make a video showing how to remove the radio section?

    What size is the piece that you used to drill the hole for the round usp Port?

    • @developmentdivision122
      @developmentdivision122  Год назад +1

      I used two different drill bits for this I think, it’s been a while. Titanium coated stepper bits from harbor freight, (1/16”-7/8” and 1/4”- 1 3/8”)

    Why did you fit horizontal instead of vertical, then it would fit without the gap?

    Can you connect that usb to an aftermarket radio to connect to apple carplay/android auto?

    • @developmentdivision122
      @developmentdivision122  3 года назад

      I’m sure there is a way. But plug and play won’t work, the only wires wired into the usb is for power and ground.

    You said you ran it through your SPOD so is the power to your USB ports turned on/off by one of the switches on your SPOD now?

    • @developmentdivision122
      @developmentdivision122  5 лет назад

      erik drown my custom SPod has ports that are just 12v outputs, no switch needed.

    U should had just removed the outer plastic peace and made the hole only for the usb and could have avoided extra holes and a better clean look.
