- Today I'll show you a few tips to make a longer face look shorter with makeup. These tips also work if you are wondering how to look younger with makeup, as shorter faces generally look more youthful.

So I already did all of it except the lower lashes/lower eye makeup, it just never crossed my mind to really accentuate it. AND THEY WAY I SCREAMED at how different it looks now, thanks layla 🥰
Also something to add on.. try raise your top lip higher but using lip liner, slightly draw over Cupid bow and it will make your featured appear closer together. And do volume your hair, mainly the sides of your hair so your head looks wider and bigger and face looks smaller.
I like both looks, it really depends on the vibe as you said. Since I'm starting to get older I chose your tipps because I want to look younger

Thank you so much!!! I could never figure out why makeup looked so bad on me. I would use eyeliner and mascara only on my top lashes. It never occurred to me that I should avoid that and instead put it on the lower lashes. Even the blush and contouring the nose too. I have low self esteem yet you just helped me feel better in myself 💕

Thank you very much for the tips! After giving all the time and effort in doing makeup if one does not look good, it gives a sense of disappointment and maybe even question themselves that they are not good looking (which is never true)! It is all about right techniqu! Thanks again.

Great video, I enjoyed the side by side of round faces to long/square it is easy to see the attraction to short round faces. I am always looking for tips to shorten, widen, make a snub nose as it is long and straight. It would be interesting to see a how to widen a narrow nose because everyone seems to want a narrow-contoured nose. I only learnt today about the liner under the eye which is what I kind of do already and bringing the brows down, I just saw a short on this, apparently this is what Hayley Beiber does. The blush is a great idea I will try that next when I do my make up. I like Gigi she is natural, Bella has had corrective surgery so would probably look more like Gigi if not, but I wouldn't mind looking like either of them either :)

Thank you for this video, lately I realized that the « angular, slimmer, everything lifted » makeup actually did not suit my soft features, round face and eyes at all. You blush placement and eyebrows tips were very helpful. I used to brush my eyebrows up all the time to make them angular looking like the popular american trend, but I just figured that leaving them straight is so much more in harmony with my face! Thank you ❤️ You look beautiful on both sides, by the way 😊

If you have round eyes, don’t makeup your lower eyes because your eyes will look bigger. But if you want this look, do it!
Apply mascara only to the ends of your upper lashes to lengthen them. Or put lengthening fake eyelashes.

I have a long face but my nose is short... my philtrum is very long and the same height as my chin. I find it very difficult to decide which makeup techniques I should use
okay that's why I hate my face with makeup lol - my face looks long but because I have smaller features it looks a little disproportionate sometimes especially when I do heave glam stuff, which makes sense cause I do a lot of what you're not supposed to do here lmao

i have the same issue!! My mid face is VERY short but my lower face isnt which makes my face look weird :(.I think for both of us, the eye trick would help to bring a lot more balence. i've done test photoshopping with lowering my eyes and it fixes the problem lol

hiii r there any tips for making ur face appear more v shaped bcuz i have a square shape face and i wanna look more feminine :(((
i heard putting blush on the sides of ur chin instead of the center of ur chin makes it appear a bit narrower and more v shaped but other than that there’s not much to do, contouring videos all contradict each other loll

Great question! The answer is it depends on the distribution of your face. The ideal distance from the top of your forehead to your eyes, from your eyes to your nose tip, and from your nose tip to your chin is 1:1:1. If you have a long mid section, eye lifting makeup will make your nose look even longer, resulting in even more imbalanced proportion. But if it's the top section of your face that's longer than the rest, then yes, eye lifting makeup will help even up the upper and lower half of your face. If it's the bottom section that's long, then contouring your jawline is the way to go. Makeup really is just to help make our features look as proportionate as possible. Whew that's a lot, but hope it helps!

i'm sorry but the girl at 1:12 does NOT have a long face, that girl has a medium to short face, the one to the right of Selena. Selena just has probably the shortest face i've ever seen, even shorter than jennie. It's not a very fair comparision. Nonethless, this was an amazing tutorial! I have a VERY short mid face but my lower face more farther apart, making my face look long when its truly not. I will try this
