Hey Derek. I don't know if you'll see this comment, but I just want to say thank you for making the videos you make. They are simultaneously entertaining and informative and have given me the confidence boost needed to get my late grandpa's '78 Chevrolet C30 back up and running. Over the last couple of months on the days off that I have had here and there, I have managed to do just that. Basically no breaks still, but that's fine, it's a man-U-all edition. Anyways, thanks for inspiring a 23 year old kid to get under the hood of an old sitting Chevy. Much love from Californialand.
I love that truck so much! I just love your channel! The little things you say out of character is what makes it worth while and the work you do on these cars. If you ever come across a vw bug I am looking for one and don't care the condition as long as it runs. From Boise Idaho. Thank you.
"We could put tape over it if it's bad" words to live by
@@oldscout80 been doing that for years, way before duct tape, used to use 'lectric tape.
@@aliasfred : I wuz Pleased to see he used my new since 2020 Fave Duct Tape ( Gorilla Black ) Duct tape on the LeafSpring ! ! The Different in Strength is Like SuperMan against Pee Wee Herman !
Hey Derek, you got the best channel and family on the old RUclips’s. From one feller to another, keep up the good work! Greeting from Berta’ Can-an-eda 🇨🇦
The perfect way to spend a Saturday morning, VGG and my morning coffee 😊👍
That shine juice is only eclipsed by Jessicas smile. Looks amazing, cool rig
Did the utility company shut off your water? You seem pretty thirsty my guy
@@FUCK_________googIe lmao nice
I love that truck so much! My dad drove a truck like that when i was 4 or 5 years old...ill never forget it because he always started it with his pocket knife :)
One time we went and got a load of red bricks in it..and on the way home the left axle shaft slid out and the truck dropped to the ground. I was so little i had no idea what happened, but he told me that story for years to come.
I love that Jessica did the shine juice, that was awesome of her! And it looks amazing! Maybe ill do that on my 84 ❤
You guys have the best channel, Love watching how the family is involved. Great stuff and Thank you !
That weed whacker line trick is priceless!!! You're a legend!
Yes! And the.... if you can't have her know one can line!
You make laugh which really helps fight my depression. THANK YOU.
26:58 Well, I'll be dipped! There's something you don't see everyday! Derek without his hat on! How many of you fellas or fellets have seen this before? Almost as rare as a good movie from Hollywood these days! Thanks, Derek, for all the good times!
Thanks for the videos they have helped inspire a fella to get back in the garage and get the old sparkalators firing on all cylinders again
Amazing how the colors light up with the shine juice! Way cheaper than clear coating and easier to remove or redo which ever you decide. I'm going to try it on my 43 year old Yard Man garden tractor.
That's one very excited light fitting you have in your new shop. All the rest seem quite still but third from the left is having a merry old time watching Jessica apply the shine 🤣🤣🤣keep up the great work hope your ribs are mended soon.
No worries. I’ve seen all your videos and this is the first time you having any difficulties. So honestly y’all are doing a great job.
Best use 42 minutes of work time today! Keep it up! Thanks for the shine juice tip! Great job Jessica! At least one of you sounds like you know what you're doing! More tech advice from Jessica, please! You guys rock! Not many RUclipsrs can keep my attention like you Darek. Fascinatingly mundane but useful and entertaining!
Love that year of truck. My favorite year for the Chevy. Sad to see that she is more wore out than a screen door on a brothel but none the less it gets my hopes up that I may find one still somewhere that I can try to resurrect. Thanks for sharing the vids!
Thank God we all understand Derek's sign language for the silent movie spots!
Lawsuit looks great, good luck at the drag races. I really like your tip in bending the brake lines, I’ve never seen that done before.
That light swinging...Derek got his own disco lights I see 👀
That’s weed whacker line trick is the bee knees. Never knewed it before you taught it to me.
Anyone that has a VW with a sunroof knows to use weed whacker line to clean the drains where the glass is recessed.
Almost 40 years ago I thought I was cute when I bent tubing around a pop bottle on a late nite venture. But that weed whacked line trick is light years ahead😁
My pop taught me to fill lines with sand. Love you pop but Dereks way has yours beat. Jus sayin.
Learnt a trick I ain't never gonna usetilies
Had the pleasure of watching this with closed caption. The cc makes Dereck's words a new experience.
Beautiful job!! You and your wife work together so well!! I wish my wife could be so good as to lend a feller a hand but that’s not happening. I love the patina!
Feller lost his sound at about 14:50. I just narrated it myself, so we're all good tho.
:-p
What's really cool is that I have a 1966 C10 so it's pretty neat to me to be able to recognize everything in that truck and know what it all does
Awesome people on this channel! One of my favorites by far!
Derek, I love when you can involve the whole Famn family.
that there light in the background was doing its best interpretation of john andersons porch swing: "Just a swingin' "
15:50 "I've never seen that smell before." This truck is from the 60's Jessica, I'm betting there were lots of smells seen, sights heard, and noises felt in that cab over the years.
Always a good day when a fella sees a new upload from VGG! Sending best wishes from over the pond! :)
Had an 85 but that 65 is pure gold,
I’m from the Deep South, been down here all my life but I absolutely love the lingo yer slingin
Looking forward to getting a tour of your new place. Y'all teasing us with the little snippets of view for a guy
Needs the word *"PEEPERS"* in your comment! Then it would be *PERFECT!*
PROBABLY not! LoL 😂😆
Love seeing a guys getting some sponsors! Get that sweet money Derek! You deserve it.
Jessica did a great job on that old farm truck, she made that old faded paint job look wet and gave it a whole new look. Very good job Jessica, you and your Hubby do great work and your little humans are so cute.
I’m working on a 66 C10 myself. It was my grandpas and my dad got it when he died in 94. I drove it some in high school but the brake lines blew and I rear ended a brand new S10. It now has a 63 C10 Custom front end now. Has zero rust. Body is almost flawless.
I’m keeping and rebuilding the original 250 inline. Maybe modernize it with EFI.
Gotta love that dancing center light in the shop. Nice upgrade Derek! 👍
Great Vidya as always. I love seeing the transformation of these old rigs when you slap on the Derek's shine juice™ lol
I had to pause it here with your wife putting the shine on the old truck. First, she's awesome and beautiful, and she adds finesse to the video! The two of you are a hit because you work together and can do anything! I would say the best video yet. Together you two are awesome 👍👌🍻🍻
The truck cap is the perfect look for that truck
Love the new episode and what I’ve seen of the new shop looks pretty darn nice! Keep up that hard work Derek love watching you’re Chanel grow and the awsome clips that we get to watch
Wow!
The colors on this truck are awesome!
Nice work to both of you folks getting the shine going.
Ram
You would be GREAT as a stand up comic. I always look forward to your next video.
Hey Derek thanks for the brake line tips I'm working on my truck and Liv hearing tricks from you!
Glad to help!
I'm like a little school girl over here just gigglin, I wonder what Janis Joplin doin today, anywho I'd love to see a video series about you setting up your new shop! Please n thanks for your time friend
These videos are great. I love the mild delivery and pg zingers. You have really cornered your own audience, your character is beautiful and kind as well as funny and sincere. It’s hard not to enjoy the wholesomeness of your videos, you somehow maintain an edge while being gentle and polite. Fantastic formula for your content, you aren’t trying way too hard so it’s A very organic delivery unlike many of the other shows out there. You’re a lovable guy and quite humorous, keep it up. You could take this show a very long way with very little effort. Stay true to yourself. Because that’s what people love.
That stuff really made a difference I’m seriously impressed
Finally a glimpse of the 68 firebird!!!! Was wondering if you still had it? Would love to see some content on that car
As an antique furniture restorer it's good to see other uses for BLO/MS. Thank You Sir for not wearing "shorty shorts" when washing your vehicles! Jerrod Weems (WEEMS Motor Co.) did to wash his bike and I still have daymares!
If your off spring do not want the pickup, it's same age as I am and I'll take it.
You all are in my prayers
Hoka Hey
Pure Genius ,. Signing for the Hearing Impaired .
It’s always funny to see the size difference between Derek and his wife, he’s not lyin when he says Sasquatch
They're a good team. He moves around the heavy stuff and when they need someone normal human-sized to fit somewhere, she handles it.
Ya I don't understand how he doesn't split her in 2😂😂😂
Yup, he got about 7 feet of vertical, and she got about 4, give or take a half. She can do the weeding standing up, while he cleans the gutters without a ladder!
I'm thinking Derek is about 6'4" and the wife about 5'2"
Makes the mind bottle.
So cool. Love your comedy and thank you for the tip on the brake lines. Truck looks great with the patina! Your wife taking care of the truck is so fantastic. Lucky man. I hope your one of the RUclips channels that stays humble! 👍🏼.
I was really waiting for Jessica to say “ope that’s waaaay too much,….. PERFECT!” While mixing the shine juice. lol y’all are great !!
Jessica, yor a peach and Derek yor a hoot. I love what y'all brin' so keep brin'in it!
Binge watching and rewatching everything I can. Great content, extensive knowledge combined with the best comedy monologue anywhere !!
In the uk you’d probably be locked up for driving some of these cars a mile let alone 600 miles
