This is the single most informative video i have EVER seen on Jeans. Especially when figuring how to determine rise and correctly measure them. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
This was very helpful and value packed! I caught this on the replay so I stopped and took notes ....took a class tonight...Jeans 101 :) Thanks so much!!!!
Y’all are awesome! I love watching resellers videos for bolo’s but you guys definitely go above and beyond the average sourcing trip. Not many people will go into this much detail to, in my opinion “ help potential competitors“. I love that fact the you do a breakdown of actual numbers too. I’m glad I’ve found and subscribed to your channel. Thanks so much for taking the time to do this. I’m not sure I’ll get into jeans but I definitely know what to look for. Funny story, I don’t sell clothes but occasionally look for myself or my family. I found a pair of my favorite jeans, Nautica Men’s Jeans, for 6.99 at a thrift store, I brought them home and washed them. I went to wear them days later and felt something in the small change pocket, I found 7-$5 bills in that pocket. My wife thought I was joking and I thought she was pranking me. It was my lucky day, I had $35 to go back to the thrift store! Haha Thanks again for putting in the work for this video!
I have sold quite a few jeans on Ebay and it's one of my fave clothing items to sell. Main reason is that I can get them at garage sales for about $2-5 a peice and people always need jeans. I like to lot them by size too - something that is easy to do buying at garage sales where most of the time they are sold in same size. Awesome content. Thanks!
Lots of good info. I like the fact that you all just jumped into selling and didn't wait till all your systems were perfectly set up......love how you just used what you had for photos (much like what I have) and that your garage is kind of jumbled when you were looking for a book recently, but it doesn't stop you from jumping in and doing your best. I would be interested in a story of how you two met and a bit of background on where you are from Adean? You two have such a great work ethic, something that is very rare in today's young people.
I think you do an excellent job teaching anyone interested in selling jeans how to do it. I sold a pair of vintage Tripp NY jeans recently for $75, they are a 90s goth type jeans with suspenders and chains etc. And they sold fast, I believe in less than 24 hours. If I could find those more often I would be thrilled. So that might be something to watch for.
Thanks for another awesome video. 😊. What I do with my clothing is Tag it (with a tagging gun). Measurements and cost & date. Makes it much faster when listing on multiple sites. Huge time saver since you can just take a pic of the tag.
This video was so helpful. I had found my first pair of vintage Levi's the day before and I wasn't sure how to list them and was confused about sizing and giving measurements. You guys answered all my questions with this-- thank you! I listed the Levi's that evening and had them sold in 20 minutes🙂.
Because of you, I was willing to look through the jeans at Goodwill! Found a Miss Me brand. Was super excited. Thank you for helping me to expand my items.
Hi! When I was in high school we used to rock the Girbaud (sp) we pronounced it Ger- (like gerbil) Bow (like a hair bow) Ger-Bow. Hopefully that’s correct! Lol
Thank you Edin and Melinda for this video. It was full of info that I can use to hopefully help me with selling jeans. I generally do not purchase jeans because I have not have a lot of luck with selling them. Maybe I will start looking at them more at Goodwill and my other thrift haunts. Also, I want to thank you because you two really take your time to draw a picture for people like myself that needs a little more explaining before I get it.
Thank you so much for this extremely informative content! I found your video so very helpful from start to finish and the potential perplexing problems such as the true measurements due to shrinkage and also recognizing traits to determine jeans as men or women that look like they could be either. I just found Rock Revival Cut Off Distressed Women's Jean shorts and was listening to you as I listed- I appreciate all you do in taking your time to produce theses videos- and you each really have a gift with teaching! I appreciate all you do- Thank you!
I usually put the factory sizes, then show the actual measurements in the photos. I had a problem with one pair that had a 40 inch waist, but were slim fit jeans. I even stated that in the listing. How many people with a 40 inch waist can wear slim fit jeans? Not too many. These jeans were returned twice. The third time I actually found someone with a 40 inch waist that wore slim fit jeans. He was very happy to find them. He said it is hard to find 40 inch waist slim fit jeans. LOL
I have always skipped the denim aisles at thrifts because I was too intimidated. After watching this I plan to at least give it a shot; no reason not to continue expanding my knowledge. Appreciate you both, excellent content as always!
Fantastic video! The prices you are getting are amazing. I've sold jeans on eBay and Poshmark, but I don't see prices higher than $25 and many people make offers lower than that. I assumed people were looking online for jeans under $20. Thanks!
So informative. Thanks. I love AEO jeans for the fact that although they don't sell for a lot, they sell quickly and have the style and cut right on the waistband. Saves so much headache
Thanks for the great content! The denim section at the store can be overwhelming and this helps narrow down what to look for. You guys are very helpful to newbie resellers like me.
THIS is the video I was hoping you guys would make! A deep dive into a specific item like your pots and pans video. I'm taking notes. Thank you for such valuable content.
Thanks - great A to Z for selling jeans. I list jeans every now and then, not too often because the thrifts in my area price them almost as high as department stores. Been meaning to look up "rise" - now I know.
Mare-e-te eh Fran-swah ger- bough All that French in high school didn’t make me bilingual, but I’m great with the fashion names! LOL love love your videos! I started picking up pans bc of you guys!
Best jeans video on RUclips! Great information! Had to laugh...I’m currently creating drafts for a box of thrifted jeans and I pulled out the Rock Revivals FIRST! Appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience.
i just discovered you today from a link share on a fb group. and was thrilled to see this. i literally just started wth jeans this week after picking some up at a 50cent sale. i don't think i did too bad, but will see if they sell lol thanks for this!!
I believe this one tops pots & pans! Very informative and helpful content. I’m going to have to rewatch to make my notes. You also reminded me about a pair of Rock Revival jeans I pick up last week. Guess what I’m listing next?!?!❤️
I can’t thank you enough for this video! I’m a single mom trying my hardest to pay monthly bills during this inflation! I also plan to teach my children how to sell their own toys and start their own business as well as the benefits! Sincerely grateful for ALL your training videos! Binge watching! Lol
As always another awesome and informative video! Thank you both so much! Just found my first pair of Rock Revival at GW this week. My first jean purchase to try selling.
Thank you all for your knowledge of the measurements because some people don’t explain that. Some of those items I have passed up by not knowing and some of them I have. Thank you. God bless.
Thank you so much for sharing!! You are just an amazing couple and so nice of you sharing your experienced in the resellng world that not all would dare to share (coz i knew a lot). I really appreciate all that you do. Godspeed and wish you all the best!!
Very thorough! You two are so cute and very personable and relatable. I love your content and find myself inspired to go hunt for jeans and pans. Sadly, I'm usually watching at 3 am so can't put my motivation into action...lol Thank you for all you do for us!
Very nice video but I would like to point out something here about picking up the only ones with good sell-through rate. My stepdaughter used to work at Goodwill and I was sourcing there while ago and she introduced the whole crew including her boss. They took me inside where they get the inventory and boom! Goodwill has an army of employees cheery picking the top selling brands and they even showed me the charts with all jeans, shirts , teeshirts that they pick, scan and separate to put to auction. What's left in the racks for us is the bottom of the barrel and here and there some unknown brands are just skipped and if we are lucky we can find them. Just a heads up
Would you mind linking the video where Melinda demonstrates how to fold the jeans and get into the flat rate envelope? Thanks you for all the advice... It is helpful!
Very valuable video!! Say that three times fast! 😂 Thanks so much for “To the point” videos like this one. I pick up things for my hubby’s store and I love to add new items to look for to my knowledge bank!
I've heard alot about you guys through other content creators and groups. My first time watching your videos, I really got a lot of information from this one great video👍🏽 thanks and continue success. LeLe fr: Cali, 🌞😎
Hi Thank you for a sweet video! I am a vintage clothing dealer of 35 years in vtg clothing business.... my specialty is wearable women's 20's through 90s with a special focus on 50s 60s and 70s..... I sometimes buy jeans and definitely embroidered jean shirts in vintage which can be desirable--I do love jeans and see many of them when I am out picking but try to avoid them because I never had luck selling them (I have always sold at shows and in shops).... A few places I pick sell jeans ridiculously cheap and I usually only allow myself to pick any up unless they are very vintage and very good (Land Lubber, early Levis (1950s or 60s etc.).... However that said I have started buying some for fun and because I also use them in some of my sewing projects (I am a textile artist using vintage fabrics also)... I tend to give them to my local consignment shop and she gives me 9 or 10 $s for them which I am happy with. I love seeing what you are doing as I am selling more online now than at shows and shops. So this informative video is great and although I probably won't be buying many of them it is wonderful to see that you are doing so well with them and you are such a nice pair of sellers and a sweet couple! Good luck to you both and I wish you much success! Thank you and Good Vibes to you!
Aww the pleasure is all mine really! Our business can be so tough and competitive--it is heartwarming to see nice people with a great attitude willing to share and teach freely to others! What a delightful pair of young people you are! Keep your eyes peeled for Land Lubbers--my personal favorite vintage label (mostly because it is nostalgic--I wore Super Lows back in the day--we used to wash our new jeans in bags of table salt to get them to look "broken in" lol and my bf had a piece of the American flag sewn on his jeans at the knee).... also if you can find a pair of 50s Wranglers that would be a good score--Western 50s Wrangler Men's shirts can also be good and the label is interesting--I am sure there may be some on Ebay or Google. Oh I meant to mention--I include the Rear rise and also the Outseam measurements in my listings for any pants. I also do not allow returns--since I am basically an antique dealer this is a standard policy with us--all sales are final--no returns or exchanges on used items (I have other specialties). Well I have subscribed so hopefully I can be in touch again in the future! Happy trails!
Those pants are just called Jabo, I remember those from my younger years. Lol You two are so intelligent and appreciate all your info you provide. Thank you for everything
You guys are awesome. I love your videos. Possibly harder to find, but excellent sell-through, keep on the lookout for Mother, Everlane, and Ariat jeans. Just check comps on the style before buying. Some styles do better than others.
Three months later and I finally got brave enough to start to sell jeans. How important is it to take pictures with the tape measure or a ruler on the jeans? I feel the pictures should have them so there's no dispute about the measurements. The ruler is going to be there when I measure the garments anyway. What are your thoughts please? Thank you. I'm so happy for your great and continuing success!👍🏼
Very important to always put gender in the title, in our experience. Especially with all of the varied sizing these days, from brand to brand. Agree SO much w/including actual measurements as well as the tag measurements- besides shrinkage, people often hem/alter the length & even the width at times. It can be drastic for sure. We also like the measurements showing in photos- very good practice, imho. Great post you two. =)
Thanks guys~ the market has already been driven down so much in the past few years. You might be surprised how cheap people will sell items when desperate for a sale~ which I understand, but daaang it makes it harder for everyone, in the long run.
Yea we just ignore and list medium to high on most. People don’t understand simple business practices, they think “hey I’m cheap i’ll sell”...it’s bad for all!
Another great video! Thank you! I would add Carhartt jeans to the list along with Duluth. Still looking for my first pair of Rock Revival jeans in the wild.
Yes, a good return policy helps a lot. I actually get good feedback from people, because of my return policy. It may get aggravating at times, but it pays off in the long run to have a good return policy.
Vintage Wrangler mens and womens especially the high rise mom jeans sell very well $40 a pair if you can find them. Estate sales are great for finding vintage jeans.
@@vickieduffy451 Hi vickie! Everybody talks about AG but I've got 3 of them and for me specifically there was no way to sell them after measuring and pricing them correctly. It just depends and what sells fast for one may not sell for others. My pais are like new, go figure!
Thanks so much I just started following you guys. My jean sales have been really hit or miss on Poshmark and this helps tremendously. I'm getting ready to try ebay again my first experience wasn't good. I only received scam messages several times a week so I took my listings down. Do you guys ever go over how to deter or filter out scammers? I'm wondering since I was new and had rare NWT outlander clothing that was priced $90 or more I could of just been their regular target. Thanks again for your awesome videos 💕
Ha! I was thinking I'm really old bc I don't recognize many of the name brands. Then you said 'Girbaud' which was really popular in the 80s. Thank you.
Great video! I never pick up BKE because Goodwill has them prices so high, but I need to do my research and see if I could still make a good profit despite my sourcing price.
A goodwill we go to all the time marks silver jeans up to 15.00 Everytime so not really worth it there. Nice list I always look for all these jeans as well! Thanks and good luck keep trucking! You guys are killing.
Great video!! I'd love to know the further breakdown of which platform being the best to list them on. I'm getting better traction on ebay for mens jeans and on poshmark not much is moving.
Great detail and informative as always. I’m surprised it hasn’t been commented yet but I feel this video begs to have #jeansanddenim attached to it. LOL compared to the ever so popular #potsandpans A real winner of a video, this will be a fun one to see a sequel in a year or so as jeans, styles and fashion evolves. 🙌 well done Edin & Mel - 😍
Great video! Ever since I found out about you guys and you said BKE jeans sell well I've been finding them at my thrift store on dollar days. Question: is the waist measurement size on jeans the exact same for a natural waist measurement? I think it is for mid rise but for high rise and low rise I think they are different.
I appreciate all the info. I also appreciate you giving how much you sell them for but I am curious as to how much you will pay for them. Thx guys! Love your channel! 😁💕
If you found value or enjoyment in this video, consider subscribing! Thank you for watching! Edin & Melinda
I always look for carpenter jeans (hard to find) esp. for men. Men love carpenter jeans.

This is the single most informative video i have EVER seen on Jeans. Especially when figuring how to determine rise and correctly measure them. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!
Glad to hear!
Also, be on the lookout for Mother brand jeans in the women's section. I don't find them often, but when I do they sell quick.
Thank you, we will be on the look out!
The Mother brand tag looks really cheap and almost fake. Disregard the tag. The jeans sell really fast for good money!
@@discofever9562 Some of the styles sell a little quicker than others.

You guys are awesome. I love your videos. Possibly harder to find, but excellent sell-through, keep on the lookout for Mother, Everlane, and Ariat jeans. Just check comps on the style before buying. Some styles do better than others.
Thanks Tony for the note and tips.
Thanks, take a look at our ebay listings and you can see how we show measurements.
Thanks for your detailed explanations. Great video!
Our pleasure
This was an amazing video, especially of what a "rise" is! Informative, and helpful!
Glad to help, thanks for the kind regards
it costs at least $20 to ship jeans here in Canada. pretty hard to make $ reselling here. Great video as always guys!
Thanks!
Thank you so much, we agree with all of that! It helps minimize returns and gains trust from the buyer.
Thanks for this video guys. I just scored 14 pairs of designer jeans yesterday.
Our pleasure, nice job!
Great information as usual. Thanks guys. I have not been pricing my jeans as high as I need to.
Glad to help!
Vintage “Mom” higher waisted jeans are selling like crazy now 😊. Especially Levi’s..Great video!
Thank you!
Another great video! Thank you! I would add Carhartt jeans to the list along with Duluth. Still looking for my first pair of Rock Revival jeans in the wild.
You’ll find them! Thanks for the tip!
Found some J Crew jeans for a dollar a pair. Great Instructions. Thanks for the help.
Sure thing
Yes, a good return policy helps a lot. I actually get good feedback from people, because of my return policy. It may get aggravating at times, but it pays off in the long run to have a good return policy.
Agreed!
Great video! I learned a lot, thank you! 💕💕💕
Thanks! It was our pleasure!
This video is Jam Packed with a Great Guide to selling Jeans! Thank you for this information rich video!
Sure thing!
great tips. trying to educate, and you guys have some great videos to help resellers
Thank you!
Vintage Wrangler mens and womens especially the high rise mom jeans sell very well $40 a pair if you can find them. Estate sales are great for finding vintage jeans.
Indeed, thank you so much for sharing!
How can you tell they’re vintage? Also Levi’s ?
If you ever find Adriano goldschmeid or AG jeans, they sell really fast. Thanks for the video! :)
Ah yes, we have sold AG! Thanks for sharing!!
I have two pair. Can't sell them. On Marcari or posh.
I guess I need to try eBay.
Funny, my first AG sold fast. Since then, not so much.
I have a pair up, havent sold yet
Thanks for the note! Scammers target new sellers, once you build up your reviews and experience, they go away.
Ha! I was thinking I'm really old bc I don't recognize many of the name brands. Then you said 'Girbaud' which was really popular in the 80s. Thank you.
Our pleasure
Absolutely awesome video informative and great content thank you guys. I’m pumped to buy some jeans
Thanks!
I have regularly passed up BKE jeans. I may give them a test. I bet I will find some tomorrow. I see them quite often.
Yea BKE is our number one seller for usually $30+ shipping on most models.
Hi guys. Thanks so much for this video. Priceless information. (Who was snoring?)
Haha, our dog is our background music! 😂
Super helpful! I passed up a few pair of Silver jeans. Great beginners guide ❤️
Thanks, glad you liked it!
Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts I am really learn a lot. I am very excited to start my online business.
Get after it!
I've been waiting for a jean video!!!!
Hope you enjoyed it!
Great video! I never pick up BKE because Goodwill has them prices so high, but I need to do my research and see if I could still make a good profit despite my sourcing price.
Thanks!!
Go to church sales the prices are usually very low and sometimes they have fill a bag sale usually on the Last day of the sale.
A goodwill we go to all the time marks silver jeans up to 15.00 Everytime so not really worth it there. Nice list I always look for all these jeans as well! Thanks and good luck keep trucking! You guys are killing.
Thanks! We run into high prices as well, there is always opportunity elsewhere!
Great video!! I'd love to know the further breakdown of which platform being the best to list them on. I'm getting better traction on ebay for mens jeans and on poshmark not much is moving.
We sell on ebay and poshmark - thanks for the nice note
Sounds about right.
Thank you two all some people .
❤️❤️
Super helpful! Thank you!
I am a new seller and have sort of migrated to selling jeans.
Thanks!
Our pleasure!
I've consistently sold higher sizes of American Eagle quickly. I can't believe that those are my best denim sellers.
Thanks for sharing!
Is your dog snoring in this video? Lots of great info! Thank you!
Per usually, yes! Thank you!
Great video! I don’t know if anyone has mentioned the brand Cinch. These sell fast for me!
Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a warm comment! ❤️
FRENCH brand is called GIRBAUD (JER-BO)..SUPER POPULAR IN THE 90s were $150-200 then.
Thanks for sharing!
Great video! Ever since I found out about you guys and you said BKE jeans sell well I've been finding them at my thrift store on dollar days. Question: is the waist measurement size on jeans the exact same for a natural waist measurement? I think it is for mid rise but for high rise and low rise I think they are different.
Thanks! I’m not 100% sure about your question, we don’t think that far into the rabbit hole.
Thanks for all the great info!
Our pleasure!
I appreciate all the info. I also appreciate you giving how much you sell them for but I am curious as to how much you will pay for them. Thx guys! Love your channel! 😁💕
On average we pay $5 per pair.
Great Vid! How much do you pay for jeans?
Usually $5/pair
Great video, thanks for posting! Just subscribed. :)
Hey thanks!
